## What is Bridges?

Bridges is the best way to collect custom formatted links. Saving a link for your podcast, newsletter, or blog post has never been easier.    

If you’ve ever had the task to collect links for a project you’ll love Bridges. Bridges eliminates any tedious URL editing for making a raw URL more human readable. When saving a link to Bridges you give it a title and it can be used when you copy the link later on. Need a link with a custom title in markdown? One tap away. Need a URL as a hyperlink? One tap away. Even better if you set all the links into a folder you can copy all of these links in the format you need in a few taps. The supported formats include: Hyperlink, Markdown, JSON, HTML, URL.

Organize the links into different folders and keep each folder in a section. All your data is stored locally and synced with iCloud so all your devices are up to date. If you download the separate macOS app for Bridges all your links and data will be there. 

Use the share sheet to save links to Bridges quickly and easily. When saving a link it will show a rich preview of the links info: Link Title, Hero Image, Favicon, and URL. From the share sheet it’s easy to save to any folder you’ve made in the app. The custom title for the link is automatically filled in with the URL’s link title.

Unable to clear all links from folder. Contacted support ages ago. No fix, no response. 
Aside from this, I like the app.

I really like seeing solo projects like this. Simple and polished and as far as I seen it’s the first to fill a common need for devs and writers.
I have an app for saving pages to read offline, another to view them. When I want to embed content in my notes or post to my blog I use another app to format the link. I have another app for saving links along with notes. All so I don’t have some big data company creeping on me.
Bridges took me away from all that.

This isn’t meant to manage a big collection, but you can add sections to easily handle a few dozen. Even so, tags and a search bar would be faster.
I didn’t check if there’s import or export, but that’s necessary if you’re storing here.

I was really exited for this app. Is worked great on my iPhone/iPad so I bought the accompanying macOS app since the website says it can sync between all, but no matter what I do, there’s no option to sing, sign in or anything. I have iCloud activated for the app everywhere but it’s not working.
So if you only need it to work on your phone/iPad, then I would recommend, but if you also need it on your Mac, know that it won’t sync.
I tried sending feedback to see if I could get in touch with the developers, but when I press the option, the app crashes and I can’t find a website to write to.

To the dev:

Is there a way to make it so we can add a list of links? Or multiple at once? For instance if I had a plain list of links but wanted to bring them in and copy the list as HTML. Maybe possible with shortcuts?

I'm not the best technology but this is so easy to use. If you need one place to go for all the information you have been collecting, then this is a app you need to get. It helps me keep all my links for gardening and travel organized in one place and I can color code them in files so they are easy to access. Super helpful when you need to reference something quickly.

Version 2.1 has a few iCloud changes under the hood to increase stability. The main change for this version is the new feature adding widgets to the app. You can now place widgets on your home screen to view saved links, copy links, and more. This is an important update fixing a sync bug. 

Previously if you downloaded the app on one device and then a second or third your data appears to be gone. This was a sync issue where the app had accidentally deleted all the sections you had and thus did not show any folders. This update fixes that bug while giving you a way to recover these folders in the settings view.  If you had downloaded the app and your folders and links were missing you can now recover what you had lost.
