## What is Briefshot?

Don't lose another UGC gig to a missed shot.

UGC platforms grade creators on the brief. Miss a shot, miss a deadline, and your work gets rejected. You lose the payment, and the brand stops sending you briefs.

Briefshot is built for UGC creators who want to deliver every gig clean. Paste a brief from any platform (Cohley, Later, Minisocial, Aspire, or your own client briefs). Briefshot turns it into a detailed shot list with titles, hints, and timing. Capture every shot in the camera, organize as you go, and export the whole gig as a single album ready to deliver.

How it works

1. Paste your brief, no matter where it came from.
2. Briefshot reads it and generates a detailed shot list. Each shot has a title, descriptive hints, and (for video) clear in-and-out timing.
3. Tap the camera button on a project to drop straight into the shot list inside the camera, or open a specific shot to capture against it. Shot it elsewhere? Share those clips onto a shot from Photos.
4. Shots mark themselves captured the moment you add media. Adjust any time.
5. When you're done, export the project as a complete album in your Photos app, ready to deliver.

Why UGC creators use Briefshot

• Never miss a shot the brand asked for. The shot list stays in front of you on set so the spec is always one tap away.
• Hit every deadline, every gig. See every active gig, sorted by due date, so nothing slips when you're juggling four briefs at once.
• Your deadlines on your real calendar. Connect Google Calendar and every gig with a due date lands on a Briefshot calendar of its own, next to the rest of your week. Move a date in either place and the other follows.
• Know what to paste before you paste it. The brief screen opens with a short guide to what a strong brief includes, plus a one-tap example brief that runs the whole flow, so your first gig isn't the one you learn on.
• Not everything gets shot in the app. Send clips onto a shot straight from Photos, or anywhere with a share button. Gimbal footage, drone shots, edits from another app: all of it uploads in the background, even if you close Briefshot.
• Hints in the viewfinder. Your whole shot list lives inside the camera. Swipe between shots, capture as you go, never reopen the brief mid-take.
• Export ready to deliver. One tap turns the whole gig into a single Photos album you can send straight to the brand.
• Built for photo and video. Per-shot timing for video gigs, so hooks, b-roll, and beat changes are locked in before you shoot.

Built for

• UGC creators juggling multiple brand briefs across platforms
• Creators building reliable income from brand gigs

### 5/5 — Game changer for creators

*2026-06-05*

I have been looking (forever!) for a solution to better manage my UGC brand deals. I found myself missing shots, having to reshoot, and getting way too close to deadlines.

I love that Briefshot allows you to create an interactive shot list from the brand creative brief and allow allows you to manage multiple projects at once.

I’ve been able to get more brand partnerships with the time I’ve freed up!!

**Developer response:** This is exactly why we built Briefshot. Missing shots, reshoots, deadline scrambles: that's the problem we set out to kill. Turning a brand's creative brief into a shot list you can actually work from, across every project at once, is the whole idea. Hearing it's freed up enough time to land more brand partnerships is the best thing we could read. Keep sending those briefs our way, and if anything would make managing your deals even easier, email us at hello@briefshot.com. We're always listening.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-19

Fixed

• You stay signed in. Some creators were getting signed out with no warning, and some opened Briefshot to an app that looked signed in, loaded nothing, and gave them no way to sign back in. Both are fixed. Anything you had waiting to sync used to go with the sign-out, and now it stays put.
• Server trouble says so. There was a case where Briefshot could not reach the server and told you nothing at all, so screens came up empty with no explanation. You now get the same banner as a dropped connection, confirming your changes are saved.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-14

New

• Send clips to a shot without opening Briefshot. Briefshot is now in the share sheet. Anything sitting in Photos goes straight onto a shot: gimbal footage, drone clips, an edit you made somewhere else. Share it, pick the project and the shot, done. The sheet closes right away and the upload carries on by itself, so you can close Briefshot or never open it at all and the media still lands where you put it. Share several clips at once and they all go to the same shot, which is what a batch of takes usually is.

Improved

• You can see how far along an upload is. A thin bar along the bottom of a pending photo or video fills as it uploads, so a big clip on a slow connection looks like progress instead of looking stuck.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-11

New

• Your deadlines, on your calendar. Connect Google Calendar and every project with a due date shows up on a Briefshot calendar of its own, next to everything else you have going on. Move a date in Briefshot and the event moves. Drag the event in Google Calendar and the project's due date follows. Connect from Settings or from the prompt on your projects list, and disconnect any time without touching the events already there.
• Know what to paste before you paste it. The brief screen now opens with a short guide to what a strong brief includes: the product and brand, where it's going, how many photos or videos, the style, and the deadline. Tap "Try an example brief" to fill in a real one and watch the whole flow run start to finish, so your first gig isn't the one you learn on.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-07-30

New

• Briefshot works offline. Shoot in a basement studio, a parking garage, or on a plane with no signal, and keep going. Capture photos and videos, edit shots, mark them captured, and build your shot lists with no connection. Everything syncs on its own the moment you're back online, so you never lose a capture or a change.

Improved

• Your captures show up the instant you take them. New photos and videos land in your shots and project previews right away, before they finish uploading. No spinners, no waiting to see what you got.
• Uploads take care of themselves. If a photo or video can't upload right away, Briefshot keeps it safe and quietly retries in the background. You only get a tap to retry if something truly won't go through, and never while you're offline.
• Deleting media is instant. Remove a photo or video and it disappears right away instead of waiting on your connection.

Fixed

• Video timing sticks. Start and end timecodes now save when you add a video shot by hand.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-06-25

New

• Stay in the camera and shoot the whole gig. Tap the new camera button at the bottom of any project to drop straight into the camera at the first pending shot. From there you can swipe through the rest of the project's shots without leaving the camera. The shot's hints and timing ride along with the camera, the photo / video toggle auto-matches the shot type, and every capture lands on the shot you were on the moment you tapped the shutter. Each capture pops a "Saved to [shot title]" confirmation so you know it landed on the right one. Swipe down to exit back to where you came from.

Improved

• Capture status is always visible, and always one tap. Every shot now shows a capture badge whether it's captured (green) or pending (gray). Tap the badge to flip the status, in the shot list or on the shot detail. No more digging through a menu to mark a shot captured by hand.

Fixed

• Landscape captures land in landscape. Photos and videos taken with the device rotated now save in the orientation you shot them, instead of being stuck at portrait.
• Cleaner tap targets on shot cards. Tapping just outside a shot card no longer opens it.
