I’ll explain: In order to progress you must obtain weapons and various smithing materials to upgrade weapons. Good weapons and smithing materials are hard to come by and are very expensive to buy from the blacksmith. Smithing costs a lot of gold, especially late game. So, you must grind and grind to be able to upgrade at the blacksmith but there is only a small chance for the upgrade to work. The chance decreases after each upgrade. I loved this game at first but to spend so much time for just a fraction of a chance to upgrade left me disheartened and my excitement to play dropped to the point that I just stopped playing. I don’t think the devs look here for feedback but if this flawed system is ever fixed, I’ll revise my review to 5 stars because the mechanics are unique and fun. ### 4/5 — Good matching game *2023-08-23* Great except for the quick zoom in for each attack. Otherwise great game ### 4/5 — Pretty fun game *2023-07-12* I have to say, this is quite enjoyable. It’s a different take on the Match-3 games, being able to move multiple icons at the same time. One thing I found a bit annoying was that there are too many “debuffs” that are essentially the same thing. Like the wood and freeze. While there are others that are super powerful, like the vines and blind. Overall is really great so far. p.s. Would be great to see some type of spellcaster class. ### 3/5 — Fun rpg match game but too grindy *2023-07-12* It’s simply too grindy. Gold accumulation is slow. Typical equipment sell price is a fraction of purchasing it new. Equipment and gem drops are rare. All of this might be fine is the game loop and progression was swift and steady. It’s not. Although it’s a fun enough match game, and I like the equipment affecting how many tiles you can slide in a move, and you can prioritize weapons that boost the over damage, but it’s not enough. +1 damage or +1 action point? There no choice there. +1 action point. Without occasionally going deep on multi chain damage, you’re not going to get far without grinding 3 extra levels to get a rare drop or enough gold. I feel like if I look online there will be a glitch in the card deck gambling to get gold ahead. This game needs some balancing to make it move swift. Otherwise it’s a regrettable purchase once you hit the grind wall and quickly bore of what is enjoyable gameplay in limited amounts. I’ll actually update this review if a rebalance update comes out. Promise. ### 4/5 — Great *2023-06-29* The ability to move multiple pieces at the same time, adds a TON of strategy to a match-3 game. It really takes a lot of planning sometimes to get the highest combos to do the most damage or get a clutch heal while dealing damage etc. It’s very cool and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen it in a match-3 before, so kudos to the dev! I also appreciate that the dev doesn’t take ANY privacy data, which is honestly shocking. There is also no MTX I can see either!! The only real improvement I can think of is the translation. « Bright Reappear » is probably meant to be more like « Returning Light » or « Return of the Light » or something. There’s also noticeable machine translated sections where the English just doesn’t come across well. This is a MINOR nitpick because the game really is great, just something that could make it even better for me personally. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Crashes and has no save state *2025-01-05* This game hasn’t been updated for nearly half a year. It crashes on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It also has no save state so when I crashed you start all the way over. Every time! For example, one of the bosses (spider queen) casts all kinds of debuffs on top of her brutal damage. If you somehow survive this, then you discover she has multiple phases which basically gives her additional lives. The difficulty goes up, but not because of strategy requirements but because it becomes cheesy. ### 2/5 — Schwieriger Einstieg *2023-07-06* Das Spiel wirkt gut gemacht, aber der Einstieg ist ganz schwierig. Das Tutorial bildet nicht die Combos ab oder generell warum das Spiel Spaß machen könnte. Außerdem ist das erste Level direkt soooo lang und gar nicht befriedigend. Den Spielmechanismus mag ich auch nicht so richtig: es können oder müssen mehrere Elemente gleichzeitig verschobene werden, das ist dann ein Zug - dann dauert es, bis man weiter machen darf, weil erst die Kampfanimation deines Charakters und dann die des Gegners abgespielt wird. Habe das Spiel nach 30 Minuten gelöscht und ärgere mich seitdem über das verschwendete Geld. I LOVE that each character has a different mechanic around block matching - match 3, or swap multiple blocks simultaneously to get longer matches you wouldn’t otherwise be able to get, even dragging a line across blocks next to each other, depending on which character you choose. Next we need one where you tap a block and all connected blocks vanish of that type. Depending on when you read this it may already have that by then. It would be great to get a sequel with larger blocks to make them easier to see on small screens, with more in the way of RPG mechanics. It only got a 4 rating but that goes for zilch. And at £1.99 with no in apps or adds it’s a steal. I recommend it!
