The concept of this app seems very good and exactly what I want but unfortunately the execution has been poor. ### 3/5 — Great concept needing better execution *2024-05-05, version 1.1.0* I’ve become aware of some words where the translation is incomplete or lacking nuance. I’m sure the majority is correct but it’s a bit unnerving when you see misleading translations and as a result I have slowed down my use of the app. Furthermore, it’d be nice to have the option to learn the Spanish they speak in Spain specifically, or at least an indication of where words are more often used, as the Spanish on this app includes words/phrases that are less likely to be used in Europe. ### 2/5 — Thought I would get more from this app. *2023-11-30, version 1.0.15* I am trying to learn Spanish to communicate with my Spanish speaking partner . We are finding that some words are not commonly used. I was looking for an app to help me form small sentences at the beginning move towards an intermediate level. I have now written context, no examples in sentences, or reverse learning. ### 1/5 — Typical bait and switch ads *2023-08-22, version 1.0.15* The advert for this app has nothing to do with how it actually functions. It’s a very basic language learning app which there are many much better functioning and features full learning apps that are much cheaper and perform as advertised. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2023-08-18, version 1.0.15* Advert for the app is a feature the app doesn’t have (plays video in Spanish and shows the text in both English and Spanish) also the app is very slow, when you get a word correct it takes a second or two to move on to the next question which is painful enough to make you want to stop. Finally, you pick by topic, ie body parts, select 4 words and then learn those words. It immediately shows you other words, and asks you which one is the correct English translation. Well it’s not hard to remember the four words you just selected so it’s not really much of a challenge. I realized this app was garbage so I uninstalled it and canceled the subscription five minutes after I downloaded it. The company still charged me the entire year full price of $79.99.. Completely dishonest. Do not download this app. ### 1/5 — Some words are actually wrong? *2024-11-13, version 1.1.2* Seriously? ### 1/5 — Pricing scam and too expensive *2024-05-30, version 1.1.0* They have an option listed in the App Store for $50.00 for lifetime (forever) access. When I installed the app that option was not available, only expensive subscription options were available. I wrote to them theee times asking them to help me purchase with the listed price and they have not done so, and are not responsive. Feels like a bait and switch scam. I liked the app enough to pay $50.00 but there are way better things out there for the full price they are asking. I would not pay the full subscription prices being asked. I will also be telling everyone in the learning communities I am in that this app/developer is not honest about the prices and have bad customer support. Edited to add that I emailed them as they requested below- on the 27th of April and it is now may 30th and they have not done anything to make it better. They responded to my email with “wait we will look into it” and I have heard nothing since. It is a scam! ### 1/5 — Click bait. I’m a qualified teacher and I help GCSE Spanish students across the UK achieve a Grade 7 to 9 by the end of Year 11 and I think most apps out there are rubbish!
