## What is Bright?

Monitor your energy consumption anytime, anywhere with Bright. 

For real-time data you need Glowmarkt compatible hardware (https://shop.glowmarkt.com/) - which works with either smart or traditional meters. People with SMETS2 (or E&A SMETS 1) meters can access their half hourly data with Bright for free, once they go through our verification process.

Bright lets you check your energy consumption, this could be electricity and gas usage from your smart meters, via the DCC or our Consumer Access Device (CAD).  Clamp-on technology sensors can support electricity usage monitoring.

Our goal is to help you manage your energy consumption and spend more efficiently as we all strive to become more carbon efficient.

I moved to Eon more than 3 months ago and still have received no statements and the Eon  app does not work which is really irritating my electrical consumption control freakery.  This app is my sanity saver - and it’s free, thanks team.  I have deducted one star as the graphs are taller than my iPad screen so I have to scroll around to see the full picture, and I think more could be done with the data (exports for instance).

I’ve tried several times to get it resent. The app crashes every time. How do I go about getting you to delete all my details as per the gdpr?

Great app give you the data you need. However just approved the export which did show nicely but now ithe app will not load.

Support is non-existent. Something has gone awry since I switched energy providers, now Bright is reporting £100+ bills daily which don't marry with the in-house-device. The IHD also doesn't tally with what I'm actually being billed, which is thankfully significantly lower than either of the other reckonings. I am beyond disappointed - the device was not cheap, the support is non-existent (one email replied to, nothing since), and they can't manage to get the basic maths to work across all platforms. Do yourself a favour, go somewhere else - anywhere else - you'll get a better service and a better product. --- Updated to add: customer service have been unable to fix issues with aggregated billing, and now graph is not even rendering at all, in over 6 months. They have now suggested I delete the app since I am so dissatisfied! ROFL

Looked at this app as HUGO have stopped free app. This app is simple to use and shows exactly what you want with regular accurate updates. I found this to be far better and more reliable than LOOP

I got this app as we never received an IHD when our smart meters were installed. The app itself updates usage faster than the supplier’s (octopus) usage dashboard to the extent that sometimes we are getting data with a delay of only 30 mins! This is without the consumer access device connecting to the meter via the Home Area Network. I am very impressed so far and the ability to access our data via their API is a bonus (and a side project for me to spin a simple app to display this data). A fantastic addition to the UK energy market.
