I just want to get into my account so I can pay my bill instead of calling and waiting to speak to someone. I can access my Brightspeed WiFi app. I heard that there was a security threat and that many customers cannot get into their account. They have the pop-up “no account found.” I have made a ticket for someone to look into account. I was told that it will 60 days to resolve, I was told someone from IT would call me, I was told to wait 24 hours than wait another 48. I’ve talked to so many people. I’m honestly frustrated. I noticed on Saturday (8/15) that “Protect IQ and Experience IQ” was installed on my router. I did not install this. These new features were available for me to use in their Brightspeed WiFi app to toggle on and off. I called Brightspeed and was told that this is their new software service that they just offered to protect from viruses, threats and phishing and that I would need to pay $5 more a month. It seems like Brightspeed is wanting to make money off of their customer instead of informing their customers? This makes me really uneasy and uncomfortable. Hoping it’s not true 😭 ### 1/5 — Bad company *2026-08-17* I hooked down to these guys, had one app that wouldn’t work Spent three weeks trying to fix it. They finally nailed it down and said it was my modem. Told me they would have a tech out the next day with the modem so I wouldn’t disconnect. Nobody showed up. I called them the next day after spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone with them the first day. They said no, we can’t do that. We gotta charge you $150 to have a tech come out. These guys will manipulate you seven Ways to Sunday very sketchy very sketchy ### 1/5 — Sucks!!! *2026-08-16, version 8.1* This app bites!!! ### 1/5 — Y’all suck *2026-08-14, version 8.1* Worst internet service in the market. ### 1/5 — POOR QUALITY *2026-08-13, version 8.1* STICK WITH 1 GIG, AVOID 2 GIG+ 1 GIG PLAN & UNDER: FAST, STABLE, AND GREAT VALUE FOR EVERYDAY USE. 2 GIG PLAN & ABOVE: SPEEDS DROP BY ALMOST HALF COMPARED TO WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It is now August. I have tickets created and still have not heard anything. No one will contact me. I am getting frustrated and about to sue Brightspeed for unable to obtain my account information and access while charging me. I’m done. ### 1/5 — Worst internet provider ever!!! *2026-08-10, version 8.0* This is the worst internet provider ever! I’ve been out of service for 3 weeks, and I’ve had 8 appointments where no one shows up or even bothered to tell me they weren’t coming. So I took days off for nothing! The service itself (when it works) is spotty and always goes in and out. The app is absolutely horrible it only works half the time and it never lets you just sign in.
