### 2/5 — Love but lacking some features and updates

*2025-06-06, version 3.3.9*

I love this app. I have used it for several years on and off. Typically me moving away from it is in hopes of finding an app that has less of the issues for the same cost and or an Apple Watch application, but in the end really ends up being the best option because of its level of engagement for children..

One thing I would like is in the parents view when I open up all the routines to have a more organized view. At this point, it throws every routine from all days across all children into one cluttered list.

Another thing that I would change is the ability to have summer routines that are based on the day, such as chores, but not required to be done by a certain time

Additionally, the ability to skip certain tasks on certain days

The ability to apply one routine to multiple children without having to create duplicate Routines over and over again for each child. I know there’s a duplicate routine button, but it could be so much better.

I believe that for children was really severe anxiety, offering the option to either hide the timer or do something which can alleviate that would be awesome. I know as a mama of a special-needs kiddo that anxiety is a real thing and it’s a fine balance to manage it.

I also think it would be cool if there was a couple more widget options that allowed to see subtasks, but still scroll through different main tasks .

Last but not least the biggest one for both my kids, and I, which has been the biggest driving force for us switching to other applications is the need for an Apple Watch application. The kids cannot manage carrying their tablets around while they do their routines. They can’t leave them sat down because they get anxious about the timer when they can’t see it and even the phone is one more thing to have to carry while they’re trying to do all these other things they already struggle with. Being able to have the application on a smart watch would be the ultimate game changer and I don’t think we would ever have any reason to move away from using Brili.

### 3/5 — Good, not great

*2025-05-29*

I love the concept of this app, it's exactly what I'm looking for to help my son get through his morning and bedtime routines without me hovering and nagging to keep him on track every time he gets distracted. I would like to suggest some changes/fixes to the program.
Adding a feature that allows me to approve/reject steps of his routine would be golden. Right now he gets stars if he swipes the task as "done" ... even if it's not done. There is a way for me to go in and manually remove stars, but I'd prefer for the app to tell my son his tasks are under review, and he'll get the stars when I verify he did them.

Another change that would be awesome would be changing the reward system to be able to switch to a different reward if you have enough stars for it. Right now, my son picks a "reward" before he earns the stars, and then he's stuck with that one until he has finished earning it. I'd prefer the stars work more like money. If he has enough stars, he can use them to buy whatever reward option he wants.

Finally, I'd love for the app to have a feature for "skipping" parts of routines. My son's bedtime routine includes a shower, but some days he doesn't need one, so it would be great if we could skip it and move on. But there's no way to skip that step other than to swipe that it's "done" and get stars awarded as if you completed it.

### 4/5 — It would be perfect.

*2024-10-21, version 3.3.9*

If there was a version of this with just the singular account this would get five stars.

### 3/5 — Wonderful app, small suggestions

*2022-02-05*

1. A tutorial section with basic instructions and features would help so much, and would increase accessibility. Maybe it’s just me but I find it kind of hard to use sometimes.
2. Can you add a stopwatch feature and a way to save specific tasks with notes? I need to change my morning routine daily depending on what’s going on, so being able to find the average amount of time it takes to complete a task and a way to save those tasks so I can pre-build a routine before bed would be IDEAL. I would be able to sleep so much better knowing that I have a plan.

### 3/5 — Tatum crews

*2021-11-29, version 3.2.4*

It was easy to cheat and get the rewards

### 4/5 — Buggy lately

*2021-11-23*

Quite good, although lately one of my routines (I use it for myself) is completely buggy and keeps saying I’m late for my routine. No matter how many times I try to reset it. Makes the app completely unusable. I think my other routines are unaffected so maybe I’ll just have to make a new one.

also one of the biggest drawbacks is that the sound and the app completely interrupts and takes over my audio, so I have to go back and forth between the app and the podcast or audiobook and restart it every time there is a new task. Can you make it so i still hear the bell, but my other audio apps aren’t disrupted? As ADHDers we need something to listen to to make the mundane tasks less boring.

### 2/5 — Atrociously priced

*2021-09-03, version 3.2.4*

Has such potential, but for the price I have to keep looking for an alternative. $10.49 a month is just simply too much, and the longer timeframes are still too costly. Even if it can do a lot more than just a visual timer, $5-$10.50 a month is out of touch for what a lot of families can realistically afford for electronic supports. I loved the trial period, but sadly I can’t afford to subscribe.

### 3/5 — ADHD

*2021-07-25, version 3.2.2*

Seems cool but I’m going to hold off until there’s a free (with ads) version. If the fee was a one time thing (and not outrageous) I might consider it, but most fee apps have an ad based free option which is very good for people making less than $15/hr

### 3/5 — Child View

*2021-05-27*

Everything starts out great. Setting up routines is easy and flexible. There are many good options. It would be great if the app had routines and simple chores. Could use a little
More flexibility in assigning points per task. Also, each routine can only be assigned to one child. You need to duplicate for another. Not great if you want to make a change because you have to do it 2 or 3 times.

It isn’t until you get to the Child’s view when thing become difficult. It’s clunky to get the child into a routine. Once in it’s pretty good but everything else isn’t. Managing rewards/stars has very little flexibility. The app is half way there but for the price not worth it in the current form.

**Developer response:** Hi Mike, thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad to hear that you value the options we have built into the app and actually, we do offer routine templates and different amount of stars that can be earned per completed task. We'll make note of your other suggestions and see how we can improve these in the future. Best wishes -- Your Brili Team

### 2/5 — Sad I can no longer promote this app

*2021-05-24, version 3.2.2*

Unfortunately I can no longer promote this App in my public speaking or at my schools, because it is no longer at all accessible to my lower income families. I promoted it widely when families could access at least one free routine, but now one free month just means they know what they cannot afford to have, which is really sad. And the price is extremely steep, given that it’s subscription based. You can outright buy most Apps for less. I am really sad to see such a great App out of reach for so many ADHD families. I am sad they chose to join the greedy corporations who have moved to a subscription approach which was developed to force people to spend more for the same products.

For those with the funds, this is certainly an excellent App - most of all the fact that the time allocated to each task automatically adjusts based on the end time, so if your child is slow or starts late they can be moved through the routine at a quicker pace.

### 3/5 — Good app

*2021-04-29, version 3.2.0*

I love this app for my children but don’t like that we have to pay for it is amazing app but not a fan for the subscription

### 3/5 — Good app but needs work

*2021-03-01*

This was helping my nieces learn routines and time management. Unfortunately it’s a very restricted platform. For example there’s no way to leave an activity unswiped (because there is always some variety to any schedule-at least a good one), or to select it as “not doing today” the rewards page only allows you to allot “free time” but sit specific things like “choice 1/2 hr of tv time” there’s no customization allowed. There’s no overall chart to see how things are progressing you have to sign in and look at each child-very clunky and not especially user friendly. Overall it has a good base concept but I would never consider paying $8.99 a month for it with these restrictions.

**Developer response:** Hello and thank you for your feedback! Younger children often have more strict routines from our experience and for older children and adults we're offering more flexibility in our new Brili app for adults. In the kids app, you can actually choose how to spend your free time when finishing early. And you can grant individual rewards for a defined number of stars that were collected. Best wishes -- Your Brili Team

### 4/5 — I love it because

*2021-01-21, version 3.1.4*

I like it because it keeps my daughter on a nice routine

### 4/5 — Adult

*2020-12-31, version 3.1.3*

I want the adult version. Helpful but wish I could set it up more for me. Needs a little more flexibility in scheduling. But it has been a lifesaver for me.

### 4/5 — Awesome

*2020-12-29, version 3.1.3*

I would appreciate it if you updated the app so that once the free trial is done, you can still use the account, and not have to buy Premium.
Thanks!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2026-03-02, version 3.3.9*

For a paid app there should be less bugs, I’ve been using this app for years and it had always been buggy. Recently resubscribed but I’m stuck on the subscribe screen and can’t use the app even though I paid money. Exhausting. I would use a different app, search the app store and you will find many alternatives.

### 1/5 — I use this for me

*2022-07-10, version 3.3.5*

I use this for me to make sure I don't skip steps even when tired or unmotivated. However the UX is difficult. I wish you could search the built in routine options or go back if the item you selected wasn't what you were looking for. no watch support

### 1/5 — Not child friendly

*2022-04-30, version 3.3.5*

Not child friendly

### 1/5 — Can’t even get support

*2021-03-04*

We were really excited about the possibilities of this app, but upon installation and going in to set up routines, I can’t even see the graphic images to have my child check them off. I tried accessing support, but you have to login or sign up with them to even submit a ticket. Okay, did that, where it asked for my name and email (note: no spot to create a password on this screen). I tried going back into the app and to my settings, clicking on the “change password” there. Entered my old password and created a new one... nothing on the screen changes. Try clicking on ANYTHING else on the screen and nothing happens. I can’t even TALK TO THE SUPPORT TEAM to tell them anything is wrong because there’s no way for me to reach them either via the app or on the website despite having an account. At least it was a free trial!

### 1/5 — Wont work after update

*2020-10-08, version 2.2.21*

My son has been using this for a few months now to reduce morning stress and its worked so well; but after thr latest updat eit wont load please fix!

### 1/5 — Great tool, not worth $8 a month

*2020-08-18*

This app worked well! Basically, it's a set of timers which have pretty icons, and you create a "routine" (custom set of timers for activities like brushing teeth, brushing hair, etc). When an activity is done, you swipe to automatically end the timer and start the next one. Once you have a routine you can set it to begin at a certain time (for example, when a child comes home from school) or to end a certain time (leaving for school), which saves a lot of math. You can also factor in rewards for completing tasks early. The user receives "stars" for completing tasks (you can set up how many stars per task) which you can choose rewards for.

It's a great tool!! Some apps support themselves through ads at the bottom on the screen. Not this one! There's no free version. There is a "free trial" when you first download the app (which they don't tell you is a trial and has limited capabilities anyway) and then with no warning you can no longer use the app at all without paying eight dollars a month. Not worth it.

**Developer response:** Hi there, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed using the app and the smart timer. To reduce distraction, we decided to support the app by a subscription model instead of displaying ads when focus is needed. We're sorry to hear that you didn't receive our emails which informed about the end of the free trial. We will be working on improving that and hope you might consider giving more stars in this rating for what you enjoyed about Brili. -- Best wishes, Your Brili Team

### 1/5 — What that need to change

*2020-04-12, version 2.2.0*

The app is confusing and hard to use and I thought that you could make your own routines I do things that are different to what’s on there app and it won’t let me finish my routine earlier then 12:00am

### 1/5 — Fail

*2020-03-30, version 2.1.2*

Downloaded Trial. Didn’t work on iPads correctly. Emailed support. 3 weeks later, no fix. Purchased Subscription hoping it would jump us past the problem. Didn’t work. Notified Brili. Brili advised still working to rectify. 6 weeks later in total - Nothing! No fix or comms from Brili with the exception of the usual sales/advertising emails in last 3 weeks... even after I paid for the subscription. Given up. Super disappointed. Had really high hopes for this app. Fantastic idea. Poor execution.

### 1/5 — Worked great for a bit

*2020-02-04, version 2.1.0*

This was a great tool for my adhd kiddo for a few months. Then problems with the app started to happen. We are constantly bounced out of the app and have to relog in every time we use it. This is a minor annoyance but I contacted customer service for this and over a month ago they said they would look into it and I never heard back. Then the voice prompt stopped working this morning despite it being activated. I recontacted customer service and they have not gotten back to me. I paid for a year of the app up front and it is annoying we only got 3 months use. Waste of $50.

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2019-12-04, version 2.0.9*

The app does not let one log in or create a new account

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Suggestion

*2025-10-09, version 3.3.9*

My AuDHD son loves this app but it would be amazing if I could bring it up on my Apple TV. Sometimes he has a hard time remembering to look at the app and go to the next step so it being on the tv would be great.

### 5/5 — So helpful

*2024-09-16, version 3.3.9*

This is a fantastic way to provide visual (and audio, if you choose) prompts to help children keep moving with self-care tasks. This was a game changer for our family and helping to establish healthy routines and remind everyone of the important every day must-do’s! Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Less stressful mornings

*2022-12-14, version 3.3.7*

This keeps my adhd 3rd grader on track. She uses it every morning and has time to spare before school. It gives her a sense of independence because I no longer have to ask her every few minutes if she’s staying on track. I wish I had discovered this app when we had to homeschool during Covid.

### 5/5 — Voice Notifications?

*2022-02-26, version 3.3.3*

I LOVE this app and use it every day. One of my favorite features is the voice notification letting you know how much time is left and then telling you the next task to complete. If the adult app was as interesting and stimulating as the kids app, I’d use that app instead. The adult app doesn’t have these features, so I’ll keep using the kids app for now!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2021-11-18, version 3.2.4*

This is the best app I have ever used and couldn’t have designed it better myself! As a mum of a 12 year old with Autism and who works with primary school aged children with SEND, visual timetables and sand timers are staple throughout my day - and keeping up with making different parts to suit all eventualities/replace lost pictures/ bespoke pictures is always an issue. To be able to snap a picture and upload it is brilliant. The independence the app encourages is a key benefit. The supporting information provided is really going to help parents new to this kind of system.

I have recommended this app to my school and to my sons school, and all the parents I can reach! It’s a game changer. Clearly produced by someone who understands needs associated with autism!

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2021-10-04, version 3.2.4*

This helps me a lot!

### 5/5 — Game Changer in our house

*2021-09-02, version 3.2.4*

Here’s the real real.

Mornings can be haaaaard. My kids are 7 & 9, and last school year felt like I was a never-ending record telling them what to do as if they didn’t have to eat breakfast, get dressed, brush teeth, etc. every.single.day. Honestly, I haven’t been looking forward to the morning hustle starting up again. No parent or kid likes starting the morning frustrated.

Enter Brili.

I’m telling you, this has been a game👏🏼 changer 👏🏼 in our house. You, as the parent, create a list of everything they need to do, the order they need to do them, and how long you want to give them to complete each task. You set the desired end time, and the app calculates the start time based on the time needed to do each task. (You can also see how long it actually took and adjust as needed.) They access their routine on a device and I can see what step they are on from my parent view on my phone.

Morning routines that used to take my kids over an hour to complete (and included countless reminders and too much frustration, only to be grabbing things and running out the door to beat the tardy bell) are now finished in less than 30 min. with plenty of extra "play time" as their reward. It's like a game for them racing against the clock. They earn stars and you as the parent can choose whether they are working to earn something with those stars or not. I have also set up a bedtime routine, and they were in bed reading 15 min before lights out because I wasn't telling them to brush their teeth 67 times. 🙄

Maybe you can't relate and your kids know how to get ready and don't need reminders (ha!). Maybe you don't think it will work. I was skeptical because we had lists for them to check off on the fridge all last year. But this is different. If you find yourself feeling like a bad parent because of the mornings in your house, TRY THIS. It's free (but I'd totally be willing to pay for this). And if it doesn't help you've lost nothing.

### 5/5 — No more nagging!!

*2021-05-22*

This app is great for motivating my kids (8&9) to get moving! Mornings we're out the door with time to spare, also streamlines the time after school to dinner, homework isn't a chore but a step to attaining their rewards. Custom routine set up takes time but allows you to tailor it to each individual child's needs. Easy enough to use on their own, although I wish that the routine steps were interchangeable for completion. The subscription fee is worth the reduced nagging time!

**Developer response:** Hi Gorguin, thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with Brili! We're thrilled to hear that Brili is motivating and helpful in your daily family life. Wishing you Happy Routines! -- Your Brili Team

### 5/5 — After 2 routines the app gets 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2021-01-18, version 3.1.4*

I don’t have to micromanage or nag, and my child gets empowered ... to independence, and a sense of control over their own personhood and time.

Frustration disappears, and the guilt that goes along with it after sending them out the door or getting them to sleep at night 🥴 💚

### 5/5 — wish it was watch compatible

*2020-10-25*

Hi! I’m an adhd adult who uses this. I am finally able to be on time to work and feel in control of routines!!! Thank you so so so much 🙏🏼 I am using a trial right now and i’m deciding if i want to get the subscription. I kind of want to get an apple watch to run the routines on so i don’t have to keep looking for where i set my phone down while i’m doing routines and trying to remember what i’m supposed to be doing, but it’s not watch compatible! I forget what i’m supposed to be doing if I get distracted by something during a task, but I feel like having it right on my wrist would be helpful and also expand the number of places/genres of tasks i can use the app in. Could you make a watch version of the app?

i’ve also noticed a couple of glitches with the current app. it glitches when you type to label tasks and it glitches when you are trying to set the times for things. i also wish that there was a setting where you could skip particular tasks if you are running low on time (eg make bed) or they don’t need to be done rn (eg scoop litter if it’s already clean).

overall though, this app is ingenious and incredibly helpful. thank you so much for designing this.
