My middle aged eyes couldn't read anything but the normal paragraph bible content. Some things are VERY off like extra hands and fingers. There's lots of repetitive images. In genesis during the creation days, when there was supposed to be only water there was land included. They have Adam and Eve clothed already and wearing leaves overtop of their clothes after they ate the fruit from the knowledge of good and evil. I checked other chapters in the New Testament and there are other errors too. An illustrated Bible is a concept I like- just there needs to be more attention to detail to be artistically and biblically accurate. ### 2/5 — Pay to read the Bible *2026-05-19, version 3.6.12* Please make this free and ask yourself is this right to charge people to learn from the Bible. I thought actual artists make these images… they don’t, they’re AI generated. There is no consistency for the characters such as Adam & Eve or Paul they’re different almost every verse. Sad it has to be a subscription ### 2/5 — Beautiful, but not quite right *2026-02-17, version 3.6.12* Great concept to do this, and most of the artwork is stunning. However, the lack of consistency between the artwork, which appears verse to verse, is off-putting. It’s giving AI. No character looks the same from one verse to another, and some pictures are downright inaccurate, such as Gen. 2:25 (every child Bible has depicted this more accurately yet still with taste), and Judges 19:27 (I chose this one at random). I’m sure there’s more errors here than what I caught, so just enjoy with caution. Or better yet, read the Bible yourself and then watch a BibleProject summary video of it. Lastly, I hate that they use the KJV translation, but I get it; they’re trying to cast a wide net across multi-denominations. ### 1/5 — Misleading Content – Not Christian-Focused *2026-02-15, version 3.6.12* I downloaded this app expecting a Bible app centered on Christianity, but I was disappointed to find it highlights multiple denominations and perspectives while lacking a clear focus on Christianity itself. For users specifically looking for traditional Christian doctrine and teachings, this may not meet expectations. Transparency in the app description would help users understand exactly what theological perspective is being presented before downloading. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — It’s all AI. *2026-08-29, version 4.0.1* When I saw that there was a unique drawing for every verse, I assumed it was too good to be true. It was. All of the drawings are nonsensical AI generated images. I don’t know why they use the word “art” in their marketing. There is no shortage of actual art from centuries of talented Christian artists who were able to imbue their paintings with theological meaning and truth. Unfortunately, all a computer can do is mimic and distort human art. I will stick to the art we already have. ### 1/5 — so *2026-06-17, version 3.6.12* i love the concept of a comic bible but it’s AI and it wouldn’t let me read any of it without paying for premium 😒😡😤. The price is definitely not ideal especially for families with a tight budget or money problems. Canceled the subscription to avoid an automatic renewal charge .. however doing that cancelled my subscription and now I can’t even use what paid for. The only thing was. I wish that there was more versions. I am a kid and I love reading the Bible, but there are a lot of words that I don’t understand. I feel like with this app I always have to ask my parents what this word means so if it it’s possible, maybe in future updates if you could add more Bible versions that would be great but right now that’s my only critique.
