### 2/5 — Why does it have to be gone

*2023-12-11*

I have not have a chance to use it since I’m deaf like ik yall did it for a long time but that doesn’t make it fair I wish i could do it now but it’s getting shut down

**Developer response:** Hi Harper.louise. M, so we can help, please visit www.cochlear.com/customer-service for your local Cochlear Customer Service team contact details. The team will be happy to help you. – Cochlear Customer Service

### 2/5 — Bug in app

*2022-07-06*

Might be good but a screen pops up telling you how to earn stars and will not close no matter how many times I click the X button. Can only make it go away by deleting the app and reloading. But then the screen comes back again.

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your experience. Please visit www.cochlear.com/customer-service for your local Cochlear Customer Service team contact details. The team will be happy to help you. – Cochlear Customer Service

### 2/5 — Same problem

*2021-08-17, version 1.11.1*

Constantly asking to download more data tried 3 times on iPhone 7.
Still can’t use app.

### 2/5 — Confusing

*2020-01-30, version 1.9.0*

Like the last user I was confused as to what to do. Maybe this app isn’t for me. I’ve been hearing music fine since I received My cochlear implant in 1988. I’ll be removing this from my phone and keeping my Pandora and YouTube to listen to much better music.

### 1/5 — No sound

*2019-11-14*

This app was recommended by my audiologist. I downloaded it but there is no sound. Checked all the sound settings on my IPad (5th generation) but no luck. I have a Nucleus 6 sound processor. Not Bluetooth compatible. Does this app work with out Bluetooth.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the sound. Bring Back the Beat is designed to work fine for N6 users without streaming. The most common cause of sound issues is that the mute switch on the iphone or ipad is set so that the sound switched off. Please try changing the mute setting to see if this fixes the problem. If this doesn't help please contact customer service and we’ll help you figure out what’s wrong.

### 2/5 — No sound

*2019-11-07*

I just downloaded the app and was hoping to teach my hard of hearing son to use to help his listen to music but there’s no sound (I’m not hard of hearing). I’ve restarted my phone thinking that would help but still no sound, so I guess that defeats the purpose of this app if there’s no sound? Will this issue be fix soon? I have iPhone 8 iso 13.1.3

**Developer response:** Thank you Ksnstar for your feedback. The most likely cause is that the mute switch is enabled on the side of your phone so that the sound switched off. Try turning sound back on to see if this fixes the problem. If this doesn't help please contact customer service and we’ll help you figure out what’s wrong. – Cochlear Support

### 1/5 — Terrible!!

*2019-10-31*

Whether it’s the app or Cochlear America server, can’t even load music. And, it appears you have to login each time. Too bad, might be good but if you can’t start the app it is absolutely worthless. Gave up when at 6 minutes it was still downloading music and maybe 80% finished.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your issue. The product team will review your feedback. Please utilize the submit feedback button in the help menu of the app if you have additional feedback to provide. – Cochlear Support

### 1/5 — No sound

*2019-08-23, version 1.8.33*

I really wanted this app to work, but I couldn’t get sound out of any of the instruments

### 2/5 — Good app but no sound

*2019-07-10*

The app is great when it works but I don’t have any sound. It is also quite slow to load. Running on an IPhone 8 with IOS 12. Good idea, not up to its potential yet. Have submitted at least two requests for tech support in the app, no response.

**Developer response:** It seems like having trouble with sound streaming to your N7 when using Bring Back the Beat. First, please check that the mute switch isn't turned on. If that doesn't work, you may have encounter a new bug that affects some users related to streaming. We’re working on a fix that should be available in the next week or so. We're really sorry about the disruption!

### 1/5 — Hello

*2019-06-29*

**Developer response:** Hi Reno, sorry you’ve experienced this bug. We’re working on a fix which should be available in the next couple of weeks.

Update, took a wile but finally got logged in after many tries. Just started using it, so it’s good.

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2023-05-16*

Installed the app. Worked fine for a couple of weeks then went to message that it’s under maintenance and not available. I’ve tried reloading but that hasn’t worked. It’s been this way for 3 weeks now. Is the site really under maintenance?

### 1/5 — In theory amazing... if we could get past login

*2019-12-25*

My father is trying to relearn how to hear music without pain since his cochleae implants. Unfortunately, we are unable to get logged in, it gets stuck on the screen claiming it is logging in. Have tried restarting phone, uninstall and reinstall, and different WiFi. :( is there anything that can be done to actually use the app?

### 5/5 — Fixed - Audio path issue?

*2022-07-18*

Andrew Selby again, audio path issues have spontaneously resolved. I thought insanely complex technology was supposed to work perfectly, all the time, for any user, on any device, with any combination of settings. 😂 Great app!

**Developer response:** Thank you Andrew Selby for sharing your experience. We’re always looking to improve the experience with the App and your feedback can help us do that – Cochlear Customer Service

### 4/5 — Does not link with Spotify

*2022-01-01*

I find this App quite useful, but it never links successfully with Spotify in Repertoire – I have definitely connected but it doesn’t record any listening. Is there some fix for this?

**Developer response:** Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We’re sorry you are experiencing it. We have sent this information to the product team for review. If you would like to provide additional information, please utilize the submit feedback button in the help menu of the app – Cochlear Support

### 4/5 — Exploring music!

### 4/5 — Reptoire (sic)

*2020-06-07, version 1.9.12*

I like the app as it is helping with individual notes. I would like more games that will help pick out songs to build up recognition. I am disappointed in reptoire. It is not recording the data and or the amount of time I am spending listening to the music. Is this a software issue or did I fail to hit a certain button when I hook my Spotify account. Does my account need to be upgraded to premium (either app?).

### 4/5 — Sound

*2019-11-07*

More of a question, my 8 year old cochlear implant kid has no problem getting it connected by Bluetooth. He seems to be really enjoying it so there’s that! I just can’t figure out how I with normal hearing can hear it. I’ve changed all the settings on my phone, turned off the Bluetooth but still no sound comes out that I can hear. Am I doing something wrong or is it the App?

**Developer response:** Dear kinglouis10 Thank you for your feedback. To turn off streaming to the sound processor and listen via your iPhone speakers, follow these instructions to set your iPhone as the audio output: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT202809#ios. If you still need help, please contact customer service and we’ll help you out further.

### 3/5 — Still can’t get app to work

*2021-01-04, version 1.9.12*

Still can’t activate “tell us what you think” dialog pop up window. I uninstalled it from my iPhone and reinstalled but that stupid dialog box is still there, frozen. I cannot do anything with it! Can’t activate any stars, can’t move the “likely” down-arrow left or right. Hope you can fix it so I can get back into the program...

### 3/5 — Purpose?

*2020-01-21*

Not really even sure what this is supposed to do? Maybe it’s me, I play piano and listen to music constantly, when I went bilateral with CIs it was really hard at first but over time, it did get better. I’m pretty content with how I hear music now except for when trying to learn a new song on piano, picking the music out is much more difficult now....I don’t read sheet music. I really miss bass in music which I could hear when I had bilateral HAs. As I got older the HAs couldn’t keep up with my natural hearing decline. The app works fine on my phone, I just don’t understand how to use it after I press the play button....then what?

**Developer response:** Thank you, we are constantly working to help make the app experience more intuitive for our users, so we value your feedback. Bring Back the Beat is designed to help users reconnect with the joy of music through specially designed skills based games. To help you get started, the app has lots of handy tips on how to play each game. If you missed the how-to videos and prompts when you first logged in, you can watch these again by clicking on Help in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. You can also click on the letter “i” icon at the top of the screen of each game, which explains what each game is all about. Within the app you can also click on Menu and select the Feedback option to send us your questions and feedback. - Cochlear Support

### 3/5 — Must reinstall each time you shut it down

*2019-07-05*

Like the app but lose the sound each time I shut down. Must reinstall.

**Developer response:** Hi Grant,

It looks like you have encounter a new, intermittent bug related to streaming. We are working on a fix and hoping to update the app in the next week or two. We're really sorry about the disruption!
