This was our first experience booking dog friendly accommodations through the app and we had a death in the family and had to cancel our trip. I was amazed that I was able to talk to an ACTUAL empathetic and courteous human who helped me request refunds, even though we booked a nonrefundable rate. I wouldn’t have even tried, but they reached out to the hotels and were able to get some refunded and some that we were able to choose a later date to visit the hotel. This was such a refreshing experience after using other third party booking sites where there is no human touch. We enjoyed our hamburgers and the lovely view of Henderson Harbor. We couldn’t have done this without BringFido! Before I knew about BringFido, I was looking up hotels along our trip and trying to check cost and reviews and calling to confirm pet policies all while trying to not get carsick or lose service… the worst! BringFido does all of this for you and puts it in one convenient place. What a timesaver! Notes to Developers: - Not all filters (ie. Allows Cats) stay selected when switching between listings or views (map vs. list) - Please add a filter for whether there is a cleaning fee - It would be great to be able to sort by price - not just filter price range - It would be great to be able to get total estimated cost based on length of stay, number of pets, pet size, cleaning fee and other pet policy factors during search. Fresh food and baked goods, YUMMY Gluten Free menu with variety of options. We were delighted to eat really good food! We enjoyed sitting on the small porch with our pup. The owners came out to great us and were very friendly and accommodating. Indoors was clean, spacious with multiple seating areas, a clean bathroom, full coffee bar with espresso. Luckily, the agent was honest and said if I booked through the app, I could save some money. On BringFido, the same room was $230. She was greeted by the waiter and offered a fresh bowl of water. The tables are spaced with ample room to accommodate any size Fido. The food was decent. This app wants to expose you to threats. Uninstalled immediately. ### 1/5 — Got taken advantage of. *2025-10-30, version 3.24.1* On October 22 I went on Bring Fido and booked a room in Cedar city, Utah at the La Quinta Hotel for 2 adults and 1 doodle. The bill the hotel provided was for $106.33. When I was billed with my credit card, I was charged $141.45 so Expedia or Bring Fido charges over 25% for listing a hotel so people beware. Look up the hotel and call them personally. It will save you at least 25%. Simply a ripoff. ### 1/5 — Charged twice *2025-10-27, version 3.24.1* I used bring Fido. I was charged by bringing Fido. I was also charged by the hotel. Usually hotels that allow dogs, but you cannot leave them alone in the room. I even came across one listing they had on the app that clearly said no dogs allowed wouldn't recommend it. It is free though, so that's up to you. And SECOND cross country trip in 2026 also! *2026-08-19, version 4.0.0* My golden Owen and I left from Upstate NY and traveled all the way to the coast of Oregon for over month and relied heavily on this quick way to locate dog friendly lodging, parks, things to do and places to eat. We even got disconnected two different times while I was on hold due to the crazy mountains we were in and each time one of the phone reps returned my call looking to see if we needed anything. I want to stress that Bring Fido really needs us users to LEAVE UP TO DATE REVIEWS! So many people don’t take the few minutes to do this and a lot of the great places listed have only old reviews which are no longer accurate and can hurt the businesses. We all need to stick together as fellow dog people who love to travel with our pets and spread the word on great dog friendly places! I will be posting reviews for all of the places we visited during our epic adventure! Im afraid that after i get back home Owen will be giving me dirty looks for having just “mediocre” days. We also purchased the Bring Fido RUFF Guide that they sell which highlights an awesome “to do” suggestion for a local business, trail, park, etc. along with a lodging suggestion for several towns throughout EACH state across the country.
