## What is Brinno DUO?

The Brinno DUO Peephole Doorcam works on 4 AA batteries; no wiring involved. It replaces the standard peephole so it can be installed even in rental apartments. Its unique Duo mode allows access both on its built-in screen and from this app at the same time! 

Every Brinno DUO door camera includes a knock sensor that activates the recorder when a visitor knocks on the door. It also supports up to 6 optional remote motion sensors. If you want it to, your Brinno DUO will send an email that includes 3 pictures every time its sensor is activated.

Brinno DUO records to a removable SD card so it works even when the internet or power is down. 

Your recordings are not stored on the cloud (no monthly charges!). This app knows how to talk directly to your personal Brinno DUO camera.

The recordings on the SD card can be reviewed from the Brinno DUO screen and also viewed from anywhere by using this app.

many many problems such as wifi connection,sensor very sensitive.
take long times to connect but always can’t connect.
Apps no renew new version even no any improve after update

To be fair, the set up is fairly easy but I managed to stretch it to an hour. And ten minutes of that was thinking the peephole extension through the door hole was too short, only to find a longer one in the box after I found I could use the existing peephole extension. My bad. That said, it was a pain to connect to the app. Had to reset my WiFi key because it had characters that this tech wouldn’t accept. This started a round of “forgetting” my WiFi on all the home devices, so I could alter the WiFi key to work for this. That was most of the hour. 
A previous review mentioned the notifications onslaught. After I connected the device to my phone app, it flooded my email with notifications of “activity” outside my door, with pics. That would be great if anything was happening. As it was, I got 20 emails in less than an hour, with 80 pics of my neighbors closed door…no activity. I turned off the notifications, but I’ll update later on what happens.

Looks like intern could have done a better job developing this app. Worst developer ever. This app looks like built in early 2000s, or the developer is not synced with technology in last 15-20 years.

The app needs a solid upgrade. It would be ideal if the manufacturer could provide an open API - then it would be possible to add some meaningful integrations, e.g. with HomeKit.

Despite of having informed the company for the major problem of lacking notification and their reassurance for fixing this prior to 3-4 months now, the issue remains unresolved!!! So much for the money spent and for a camera with low resolution as also for a huge problem of no immediate response of movement sensor!!!

I won’t be too wordy with this since I don’t own the unit but this app NEEDS TO SEND NOTIFICATIONS. Emails are nice but I am shocked that immediate notifications are not an option. Now I could have missed something and if I did I’d love some guidance.

Also why can’t the motion sensitivity be adjusted? This would be ideal to cut down on unnecessary motion senses and tons of emails.

Finally no way to look at your profile on the app? Just seems weird.

This release increases the timeout for the "Files" button to handle SD cards with tens of thousands of captured images. For extremely complex SD cards (50,000+ files) it might take over 60 seconds for the camera to transmit complex directories when the "Files" button is pressed. Consider replacing the SD card to restore like-new performance. If you don't want to keep the old images, the existing card can be reformatted.
