The only company who can make an update, a downgrade…and it was terrible before. Zero functionality to search or book rewards flights now. Error messages galore. On the BA app (and website) I can’t easily view alternative flights, I can’t choose seats easily, lags, and if BA changes/cancels your flight then this app can’t help you one bit. For example, if your flight gets canceled and rebooked, the app doesn’t know how to deal with that and just redirects you to the mobile website. Even if your return flight isn’t impacted, it still says the trip needs attention and redirects to the website. The app is essentially useless. I’ve decided to deprioritize choosing BA going forward because of these technical issues. The issue is that regularly you cannot check in. Initially I was worried flight were cancelled or my seat was cancelled. My update is that if you fill out your personal information, the reason may be given. Without your information it simply says can’t check in go to the airport. Leaving you without any valid reason and worried that you’re cancelled. With your information filled out it will give for instance a message that for this (particular) flight it isn’t possible, please go to the airport. ### 5/5 — New app is amazing *2026-08-17, version 7.1.0* Well done with redesigning the app and make it so sleek and easy to use! I used to have issues with adding bookings and it then going missing/ not adding it but this is no longer an issue. I am a frequent flyer with BA and being able to easily navigate the app and for it to work so well now is wonderful.
