## What is British English Sounds Game?

Have difficulty hearing and distinguishing different English sounds?

If so, we've got you covered! Most learners bring habits from their mother tongue into their English speech. We’ve designed the Oxford English Sound Pair game so you can have fun practising difficult sound pairs, using common words carefully selected to to catch your hidden habits / to be tricky for your mother tongue. 

Over 20 linguistic origins are covered, from Spanish to Swahili, French to Farsi, Turkish to Thai."

You will not only practise sound pairs but also learn the phonetic spellings as you go along, which are difficult to grasp for many language learners. The app uses the same phonetic spelling as the Oxford University Press, so it will be hugely beneficial when learning to pronounce new words from dictionaries.
