Ever time I want to print there is another update and it becomes an hour process of downloads and figuring out issues before my print. Get it right the first time. ### 1/5 — Crashes constantly *2019-08-15* Useless. Crashes as it opens. Reinstalled several times, no go. Would be nice to be able to see what toner levels are...but. But if the color ones run empty you can’t print nothing. I assume they evaporate cause I never use the color ones. There is no margin adjustment or fit to page or automatic alignment for copied portions of documents. You can do setup and get quick links to their website - many times not even to the page with your specific printer even though it had recognized my device over wifi. A great example was i'm very low on toner. Did it tell me how many pages I should expect? No. When I clicked the supplies, did it take mine to my toner? No. What I really want is to be able to manage all of the menu properties through the app. Seems pretty easy to me. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Brother Service *2024-08-14* Terrible app. Non intuitive, nor easy to navigate, overall poor. First thing to do? Get product support, right? Wrong. My machine isn’t even in the product list. There are no videos for my machine. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2021-06-02, version 1.3.4* I bought an embroidery machine innovis M240ED online from create and craft, as soon I passed the 28 days to get money back or get it fixed they said I had to contact brother, my machine just had a month and the faulty things started I always had excuses from brother and they didn’t help much as a previous review from someone called Logeric that comment here and I agree with him brother stuff is something I like so much, but if something goes wrong their literature is useless and doesn’t work, the online service useless too to communicate with them you can but you will have to do what they want and end up buying a new machine which is something I’m doing now buying a machine of £3500 and they delayed my business so much and it’s something brother won’t help me to repair which is bring my clients back. ### 1/5 — waste of time *2021-04-07, version 1.3.4* Like so much of Brother's stuff, if it works, fine, in fact absolutely superb. BUT if something goes wrong.. 1) Their literature is useless, full of things that don't work. 2) Their online "help" service will be most unlikely to help you. 3) As for trying to communicate with a real human being, forget it. 4) So you have to do what they want, which is to buy a new machine. ### 1/5 — Garbage app and printer *2020-04-14* Either “can’t connect” or “error printing”. ### 1/5 — Dreadful, don’t bother. *2020-03-29, version 1.3.1* Use the print and scan app, it’s also poor, but connects and does some stuff. This is the worst utility app I have downloaded. ## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great *2020-10-07, version 1.3.3* Really useful app - can find latest manuals, FAQ and thread/fabric combinations. ### 4/5 — Works fine *2019-11-03* All I really care about is monitoring ink toner level and that works just fine, no crashes. It also tells me when I need to install firmware (via computer). So far so good. Don’t really have high expectations here for it to wash your clothes and make you a sandwich. It’s an app. ### 3/5 — Not working *2022-11-08* Only prints 1/4 of the page then stops printing the rest of the page ### 3/5 — Ok but nothing you can’t google *2021-04-11, version 1.3.4* The you tube videos are all muted but you can enable CC to at least get an idea what they’re doing. It’s pretty basic but great that it is a platform for such an expansive range of products. Will I keep this app? Probably not as I don’t see what the benefits are. If I want to know how to overcome a challenge I’ll get the manual or I’ll google it. ### 3/5 — Cartouches *2019-06-29, version 1.2.9* Les cartouches de remplacement coûtent plus cher que l’imprimante. On serait mieux de changer l’imprimante lorsque les cartouches sont à remplacer.
