## Newest reviews (12 of 66)

### 4/5 — Standard only

*2023-12-26, version 1.3*

Great app to help if you are working with the standard game only. Most DLC ingredients aren’t available.

### 4/5 — No DLC

*2023-12-20, version 1.3*

Very helpful, but doesn’t include any DLC. Would be nice to get an update where those can be toggled.
Otherwise a great app.

### 4/5 — Good, but out of date.

*2023-06-20, version 1.3*

I absolutely love this app for how useful it is, but it’s lacking in the newest ingredients from the creation club.

### 5/5 — The Best Interface

*2023-05-11, version 1.3*

Of the different Skyrim alchemy apps, this one is the easiest to use by far. The only drawback of it is that it doesn’t support the new ingredients found in Anniversary Edition.

### 5/5 — Incredibly helpful

*2022-11-30, version 1.3*

Makes leveling up alchemy and making a ton of coin on top super easy…this is a must have app unless you want to get frustrated and give up on alchemy like I did in my previous playthroughs. Add some enchanted gear, and coin will never be an issue.

Of all the potions I made in my last alchemy session (at least 50+…I had been collecting ingredients for a while), only one or two were busts. Great job developers, and thanks!!!

### 5/5 — NEEDS AN UPDATE NEW INGREDIENTS OBVIOUSLY

*2022-04-04, version 1.1*

NEEDS UPDATE, OBVIOUSLY NEW INFREDIENTS.

### 5/5 — Septim rain!

*2022-03-25, version 1.1*

Great for making that coin, but if your trying to be effect selective it could be more exclusive with it’s filter.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2022-02-19, version 1.1*

I have 400 hours logged in Skyrim, and apparently I was doing alchemy wrong all along. This app changed how I play the game (for the better). Extremely easy to use. Plus, the newest ingredients are included in this app. I highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Great App for an Alchemist

*2022-02-16, version 1.1*

Basically the best way to make a lot of money in this game. This app does everything it needs to, and its completely free

Suggested improvements: It would be cool if we could factor in perks such as benefactor and poisoner, since they will have an effect on the final value of the potion

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2022-02-04, version 1.1*

This is absolutely the best alchemist helper and so far the only thing that is missing was the “Juvenile Mudcrab” but other than that this is just amazing thank you so much for your work on this.

### 5/5 — Best Alchemy List Out!!

*2022-01-13, version 1.1*

This is by far the best app I have found to help with Skyrim. It makes getting alchemy to 100 quick and easy.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2021-12-09, version 1.1*

I hope Dave finds the time to update this with all the awesome new stuff in Anniversary Edition. I’d offer to help but I can’t code my way out if a paper bag

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Utterly ruined by update

*2022-04-13, version 1.2*

What a great app this was until the most recent update (April 2022). The app is now virtually unusable. Completely unlike how it was and makes no sense at all. A fantastic app totally ruined.
As the old saying goes: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
I’ll be looking for a new app to use. What a waste.

### 2/5 — Broken on iPhone 14

*2023-02-26, version 1.3*

The app is definitely not optimized for iPhone 14 (was last updated 10 months ago at the time of this review). Things run off the screen and are cut off, on the recipe tab the ingredients/effects column is so squished you can’t read it and the checkbox is cut off. Definitely do not recommend this app unless the dev updates it.

### 2/5 — It’s missing the point...

*2020-04-30, version 1.1*

Look it’s got ingredients and it’s got it’s effects listings, but it doesn’t help you locate a recipe for specific effects it just lists every possible recipe that includes those effects, so when I look for the effects lingering damage and paralysis it lists every recipe that includes those effects but those recipes will also have other effects like “restore health” or “frenzy” and there will be sometimes 1000’s of recipes to look through before you get to one that just has the specific effects you’re looking for without any extra effects.
It also doesn’t tell you the effects each ingredient has it just states that “ if you mix these ingredients this will be the result” so to speak, nor does it tell you what each effect actually does.
I also don’t understand the remove button if I wanted to remove an ingredient I would have already deselected it from the ingredients list.
If I need an app to help me look for recipes I want it to show me recipes that only have the effects I’ve selected not to show me recipes that include the effects I’ve chosen along with other unwanted effects, that way I can quickly see the short list of ingredients to get for a specific potion or poison which will have the exact effects I wish to use.
But it was good to see an app that had ingredients from DLC in it.

### 3/5 — Missing potions

*2025-06-13, version 1.3*

It’s okay but doesn’t have a potion for giants toe and wheat which is a great potion with nothing in alchemy it’s like 420 if you add creep cluster it’s almost 600.

### 3/5 — Needs anniversary ingredients added

*2025-03-07, version 1.3*

It’s a nice app, but since everyone and their dog uses the anniversary edition, it needs the new ingredients!

### 3/5 — Preferred the original format

*2022-06-30, version 1.3*

This app has always been my go to for Skyrim and when I noticed the update I was excited because I thought it had the new ingredients. Unfortunately, the new format is too much of a headache to operate because it just has extra stuff that is not needed. It makes my alchemy a lot slower.

### 3/5 — Missing information

*2020-03-26, version 1.1*

This would be almost perfect except the there a large number of anomalies that aren’t being considered. For example: Water breathing with Salmon Roe, Fortify Stamina with Boar Tusk, Fortify Health with Giants Toe, Resist Fire with Ashen Grass Pod. These cases yield dramatically different results in the actual game. And should be factored into the planning here.

### 4/5 — Great tool, could use an update

*2024-10-05, version 1.3*

This is the best tool for Skyrim alchemy that I’ve found. I wish the ingredient list for Fishing and Rare Curios were available now that they are free to everyone.

### 4/5 — Almost complete app.

*2024-05-09, version 1.3*

Extremely helpful app. Almost perfect. But there are a bunch of ingredients missing in the list…

### 4/5 — Good app

*2024-02-13, version 1.3*

The only issue with this app is that it’s missing quite a few DLC and Anniversary Edition ingredients that have been added recently. I really like how simple this app is to use, it doesn’t over complicate things and the interface is really easy to understand and navigate. This app has made me a ton of gold. Other than the missing ingredients, it’s super awesome. Would rate five stars if it had all the ingredients.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-08-08, version 2.0*

Great app, I’ve been using this for a while now, and I noticed that the ingredient list was missing the Aloe Vera Leaves ingredient and its effects.

### 5/5 — Anniversary Edition

*2026-05-30, version 2.0*

Thank you soooo much for adding the ingredients from anniversary edition. I play on my Nintendo switch and can’t choose between editions so having the rest of the ingredients is so helpful.

### 5/5 — Nicely done app.

*2026-05-18, version 2.0*

But you forgot to add some ingredients I can’t find aloe vera for example. Can you add remaining ones which are missing?

### 5/5 — Much appreciated update!

*2026-04-21, version 2.0*

I had first relied on this app when I first started playing Skyrim years ago. It’s a perfect companion to Skyrim. It’s simple to use yet full of all the compiled information.

Two weeks ago I had started to replay the game with the Anniversary Edition. Your program’s update became available at a perfect time.

### 5/5 — Update

*2025-08-21, version 1.3*

Please add kajiit ingredients

### 5/5 — Update

*2025-05-11, version 1.3*

This is a life saver, I wish they would add the mort flesh ingredient from the newer updates.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-02-11, version 1.3*

It really is a blessing that everything is free and easy to use, especially when you never did much alchemy before. Literally close to perfection if we could have a way to see how the ingredients are looking like.

It would be the cherry on top for those who play in another language (this way we don’t need a translation but simply can see an image of the ingredient).
And even then, it isn’t needed and the application in itself is already everything you would need to level alchemy fast and make money or just look for any recipe combination.

Thanks.

### 5/5 — Amazing app that just works

*2024-09-18, version 1.3*

While it may seem a little intimidating from its lack of ui, once you’ve figured it out it is the one stop shop for on the fly potion making. I found my self stuck in a sticky situation while fighting a forsworn camp, I loaded up this app and thanks to it, made an invisibility potion that saved my bottom. Couldn’t recommend it enough. 10/10 app

### 5/5 — Super Fast Leveling. Add quantity option?

*2024-03-31, version 1.3*

This app helps me level up really quick, but I’d like to be able to enter how many of each ingredient I have so that I don’t have to remove each ingredient that I run out of one by one.

### 5/5 — Great tool, could use an update

*2023-08-30*

This is the best tool for Skyrim alchemy that I’ve found. Great job Dave. Any chance you’d revisit the ingredient list now that Fishing and Rare Curios are free to everyone? Would be nice to have the new ingredients available in the tool.

Would also be extremely helpful if I could change ingredients from “may have” to “can’t have” on the recipe screen.

My process is:
Select all ingredients I have to “may”
Go to recipes and sort as needed
While have ingredients
    Make top potion
    If out of ingredient
        Remove ingredient(s) from ingredient screen

That last bit, removing ingredients, can be done from clicking an ingredient on the recipe screen if I’m removing 1 ingredient but I don’t like how it sets the ingredient details to “more” when I select one. When I have to remove multiple ingredients at a time, I have to go to the ingredients screen, and if I’ve removed any ingredients prior using the recipe screen method, it’s an added tap for me to reset the ingredient details to “less” to scroll.

Long story short, maybe more user friendly if the more/less on ingredients can stay static and only change when I want them to.
