Visited local Browns (within walking distance) many times but so incredibly frustrating that neither allow me to book. Easy enough to enter details, I can see the time-slots available, but ‘oops there’s been an error’ every single time. Even when phoning, selecting a time slot and then get cut off. Some issue with the underlying technology it would seem, they only way I can ever book a table is to call the restaurant and actually speak to someone. I register my email and password, get the verification code and it accepts this and am in my account, which doesn’t give much info apart from my details and ‘orders’. When I attempt to go into my account from the app, because you can’t access the wallet without doing so, it says ‘unable to validate information provided’, so unable to collect rewards. Just going around in circles. From the warm, friendly greeting on arrival to our attentive and professional waiter, all the staff we had contact with gave exemplary service. The reservation was made on line with a request for a light table if available hence it was lovely to be allocated a prized window table. We selected our meal from the Special Lunch Menu and ordered sparkling water and a bottle of Prosecco. All courses were tasty and well presented and served in a timely manner but without a feeling of us ‘being rushed’. One of the great things about this restaurant is the elegant and sophisticated decor with several different area in which to done. Tables are set well apart so you don’t need to squeeze past people and you can sit and have a conversation without having to shout or be overheard. The bill for three people came to £152 including service (and 2 coffees with liqueur). A great price for good food in a restaurant going the extra mile to ensure their customers leave happy and looking forward to returning. As we were leaving some customers were just being served Afternoon Tea; it looked amazing.
