## What is Browther?

Browther is the 100% halal browser: it blocks haram by default, right on your phone.

• Blurs inappropriate content — Basarunaa
Before an image reaches you, Browther looks at it and blurs people according to your choice: women, men, or both. The analysis happens entirely on your device: no image is ever sent online.

• Mutes music in real time — Sawtunaa
An artificial intelligence model separates voices from music as you play: you hear the voice, the music disappears. Everything happens on your device.

• Removes ads and trackers
Ads, pop-ups, banners and trackers are blocked from the moment you install it, with nothing to set up. No more indecent ads in the middle of an article.

• Your privacy respected
No account. No advertising profile, no browsing data sold. Crash reports and anonymous usage statistics can be turned off in one tap.

Basarunaa and Sawtunaa are in early access: turn them on whenever you like, and they get better with every update. Report a site where they don't work yet, right from their panel.

Browther is free and needs no account. It is a project by the dev&din studio, made for the Muslim community. Built on Brave, whose source code is public (MPL-2.0 licence).

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.10.21 — 2026-10-23

- On iPhone 11 and iPad (9th generation), Browther closed by itself as soon as Basarunaa analysed an image. It now stays open.
- Closing a tab while Basarunaa was analysing the page could close Browther abruptly. That no longer happens.

### 2026.10.18 — 2026-10-19

- With “Enable Background Audio” on (Settings › Display › Media), the video keeps playing when you leave the app or lock the screen. Before, it still stopped.

### 2026.10.14 — 2026-10-16

• Support Browther without a subscription: the Support tab now offers a one-time payment for 1, 2 or 6 months, which never renews.
• Fixes and improvements.

### 2026.10.11 — 2026-10-12

- You can delete your dev&din account from the app: Settings › My account.
- Sawtunaa turns on and off without reloading the page; the video stays where it was.
- Basarunaa also turns on and off without reloading the page.
- “Turn back on automatically in 5 min”: Sawtunaa comes back by itself after a pause.
- Referrals screen: the card with your code now shows in full, in light and dark mode.

### 2026.9.30 — 2026-10-01

- Images loaded as you scroll are now blurred like the others.
- The blur on videos now fades into the picture, just like on photos.
- Choosing who to blur: the Basarunaa panel now uses the large tiles from the introduction.
