All you are doing is opening and closing curtains so why you need to login every few days when you open the app is beyond me. However, within a couple of months of fitting it stopped working. Re-programmed it a number of times before getting it to constantly work again. Following a further stoppage I contacted Brunt but, by the time they responded, it was working again. Now, for the last few weeks, the programmed open & close schedules work half the time & the app has no effect, so have to use the manual buttons. I’ve checked & rechecked the Wi-Fi but it’s constantly good & works fine with all my other Alexa devices throughout the house. Further update after 6 months: It continues to be flaky but now a new issue appeared. The motor timing has changed so that the blind gradually changes it’s open/closed position. Despite this, the sunset / sunrise time is still stuck at the same time and not updating. ### 1/5 — Brunt blind engine *2024-02-08, version 1.1.107* I have had 3 of these engines for 5 years now and for the last 3 years they have been absolutely useless! They need to be rest by brunt so I can register them to get them to work. Sent many emails to brunt. never have they ever answered any email and so I have had to junk them and replace them with a similar product that has much better support. My advice to anyone considering buying one of these is to go elsewhere. After many adjustments the blinds are working fine. One unit will loose WiFi connection once in a while, 6-12 months. I cycle power to it and it operates great for another year. My only issues so far is that sometimes 2/3x a year doesn’t open or close and that the model that I have doesn’t work with alexa which I assumed it would from the advertising.
