### 3/5 — Bryant Smart Home Ap

*2025-04-07, version 1.8.12*

Ap is OK, just feel like it should be ‘Smart Home’ compatible, and connect to Alexa and Google.

### 4/5 — Freezing

*2025-03-24, version 1.8.11*

For some reason, the app is not connecting to the Wi-Fi system

### 4/5 — Cool and Auto Modes greyed out on App

*2025-03-20, version 1.8.11*

Since the iOS update to 18.3.2 the Cool and Auto modes on the app are greyed out and not selectable. They can still be selected on the wall mounted controller.

UPDATE - after following the instructions from the developer, the app is working just fine again. Thank you.

### 2/5 — It stopped working

*2025-03-17, version 1.8.11*

I have been really liking this app until the last couple of days. The cool and auto buttons are now greyed out under mode and I can't change to those on the app.

### 3/5 — Cooling

*2025-03-17, version 1.8.11*

The AC side of the app doesn’t work it did in the past! Now when you try to switch between heat and cooling nothing!!

### 2/5 — Status not correct

*2025-03-12, version 1.8.11*

When zone setting reports “Heating to” or “Cooling to”, the "Device Status” always shows heater off, AC off, fan off.
It would be nice to have this issue resolved.

### 3/5 — Alexa Skill Isn’t!

*2025-02-28, version 1.8.11*

Asking Alexa to adjust temperature doesn’t work!

### 1/5 — Locks up after one use

*2025-02-19, version 1.8.10*

You have to restart the app every time to change the temperature.

### 1/5 — No HomeKit support

*2025-02-18, version 1.8.10*

Super lame that Homebridge hacks have to be used to get access to my own data and full integrated functionality that I bought when making this huge outlay for a full HVAC system.

### 2/5 — Can’t use

*2025-02-15, version 1.8.10*

I can no longer get the app to work. I’ve spoken with reps and still cannot use. Says system offline and we’ve rebooted and revered and nothing works

### 1/5 — Slow and lags

*2025-02-15, version 1.8.10*

This app is so far behind Ecobee it’s laughable. The actual thermostat interface is poor, and the mobile app is slow to load and sometimes entirely unresponsive until you close and reboot the app. Carrier & Bryant people: this is not hard. Replicate what Nest and Ecobee do — fantastic, sleek design, cool typefaces, and usability. Come on! Let’s update and make this work. Or just make an Ecobee that works with Evolution products.

### 1/5 — App frozen

*2025-02-14, version 1.8.10*

For past month or so, the app has been behaving weirdly and gets frozen after switching from other apps. Further i can only perform 1-2 operations before the app is frozen again

### 1/5 — Recent version of app freezes and must be forced closed

*2025-02-14, version 1.8.10*

App becomes unresponsive and has to be forced closed and reopened to change hvac settings. This has started happening the last two versions. Recent patch with "bug fixes" did not fix this.

After forced closing app works ok for a while, but will end up
Becoming unresponsive (can't click anything, ui stops updating) with minutes or an hour when you open it later in the day.

Still an issue as of 2/14/2025

### 1/5 — 1.8.10 crashes

*2025-02-14, version 1.8.10*

Don’t update to this version

### 1/5 — App Often Won’t Connect

*2025-02-14, version 1.8.10*

I don’t think I’ve ever had an app that goes offline so much.
And we’re talking about heating a home. I would never buy Carrier again

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Always buggy..AVOID!

*2025-04-27, version 1.8.12*

I had my system installed in 2017. Over all the years the app has intermittently not connected to the thermostat. Sometimes you’ve changed the temperature on the app, but it does not change on the thermostat. Now the latest update has dropped my system from it. The system itself has had multiple malfunctions too….Blower motor and circuit board failures, etc.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2025-04-16, version 1.8.12*

This is one the worst app builder has provided . Thermostat stops in between . We regret why did builders has tied up with this app

### 1/5 — Make it look like my wall thermostat !

*2025-04-15, version 1.8.12*

Quit rolling out badly designed apps.
Try using a Focus Group of users and not developers.

Go back to the original app that not only worked, but looked and functioned just like my thermostat.

### 1/5 — Constantly Offline

*2025-04-08, version 1.8.12*

Garbage app. Constantly offline. Not my network issue. It’s always Bryant’s nonsense somewhere far off.

### 1/5 — DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE

*2025-03-17, version 1.8.11*

I live in the south and now both apps for my systems do not even allow me to turn on the AC from the app. Shockingly pathetic.

### 1/5 — Mobile app

*2025-03-15, version 1.8.11*

Buggy all the time. Some screwed up guy developed this and continues to send updates, each progressively worse than prior.

### 1/5 — Gets worse with every update

*2025-03-06, version 1.8.11*

App is essentially nonfunctional. Every update to ostensibly "fix" the multitude of problems in this application have simply made it less and less reliable to a point where deleting the app is your best bet.

My Wi-Fi /network connection are always fine, but the MyEvolution Data and OTA servers are constantly disconnected so the app is never available. Seriously guys – hire some competent coders and fix the issues instead of flailing around and making things worse every time.

### 1/5 — App still freezes

*2025-03-02, version 1.8.11*

Almost completely disfunctional on iOS

### 1/5 — Needs better development

*2025-02-26, version 1.8.11*

Too many updates, app often doesn’t work, too hard to use for average consumer.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2025-02-22, version 1.8.10*

1.8.10. Please STOP releasing updates. You folks don’t know what ur doing. Every update breaks something new. Now the app won’t even open. Deleted and reinstalled 3 times. Click on the app and it crashes and closes Pathetic is an under statement

1.8.9 not a single issue below and in all of the other customer reviews have addressed. Keep pouring out worthless updates that introduce more bugs (see other reviews). Get ur act together and develop and QA your software to FIX ur bugs. Absolutely terrible. .

Besides the numerous issues mentioned. The AQI is wrong for my area. Says it is 72. Federal government site that it is based on says 25. Clearly it in sync as is everything else. Fix ur app

1.8.6 - so they fixed the outside air quality map not showing San Francisco when I live on the east coast. HOWEVER THEY DID NOT FIX THE CORRESPONDING SLIDER SCORE It still shows yellow when the map and individual scores are green. also weather forecast is now off line and wall controller says can’t connect to weather servers

Wall controller and app still not in sync

What a joke. Get some developers and testers that know what they are doing.

1.8.5 updated. Appears that IAQ map has been returned however the great developers are now showing me living in San Francisco when I live on the east coast. And yes my address is correct in the app. Pathetic

1.8.5. This is the only device in my house that keeps loosing WiFi. Shows connected to my network and off line with the @bryant servers. Clearly no one knows how to program an app that is stable or the @bryant servers are constantly down. Basically a dumb $1500 thermostat. Also, notifications are still broken. When changes are made locally notifications either never received or received days later

The poor app continues and @resdigital could care less. Continued emails to @resdigital go unanswered and call to @careier @ Bryant “we are working on it with no ETA”

Do better. A $99 Honeywell thermostat works better

The saga continues with the new software. 1.8.4 is another example of continued poor development and lack of testing. Believe all the 1 star reviews. Every version of the app continues to propagate bugs. Repeated replies to @resdigital with screen shots and information are useless.

Basic functionality is broken.
1) constantly disconnects from WiFi (only devise in house that does this)
2) wall controller is not in sync with app. Ac/heating is clearly operating and app shows it is off
3) notifications are a joke. If ur lucky you will get 1/10 notifications hours or days after event
4) changes to temp or schedule from app rarely get applied
5) if u have multiple zones and change 1 zone changes, when they happen, are applied to the wrong zone

Overall garbage app stay clear.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Froze

*2025-04-19, version 1.8.12*

I just downloaded the app
As the other one is no longer supported and it worked great. I opened the new app
And at the last info page it froze. Tried closing and reopened it. No change

I want the old app back please

Update
Downloaded 1.1.9

Works perfect

### 5/5 — App works but making me switch

*2025-04-08, version 1.8.12*

This app works perfectly and it took a ling time for the developers to get it right. Now that its working, they are forcing me to another app. Why?

I am tired of Bryant and the constant changes in their apps. So I am done and moving to Ecobee where the thermostat works!

### 5/5 — Excellent Response Time!

*2025-03-23, version 1.8.11*

Thanks to Bryant for updating the app to work with the nee ios!!! Much appreciated!!!

### 5/5 — Bryant Evolution

*2025-03-01, version 1.8.11*

This control operates furnace, AC, humidifier, and air exchanger. All integrated to one device. Fantastic.

### 5/5 — Grateful

*2025-02-26, version 1.8.11*

The updates have been so helpful! The app is user friendly and so helpful for keeping our house at the settings that are comfortable and economically friendly.

### 5/5 — Does all I need it to

*2024-05-31*

I must be missing a great deal because I don’t have the same issues at all. The thermostat is fine. I can program it and forget about it. I like the feature that progressively increase humidity in the winter to the point just before my windows begin to sweat and in the summer I can activate the feature to run the AC longer to reduce the temperature up to three degrees in order to lower the humidity. I will say I was annoyed at how long it used to take inputs from the app to change the actual HVAC behavior but that had been addressed many app updates ago. Well over a year, probably two and it’s been longer still since we’ve had problems with the wall unit dropping the WiFi.

If I could change one thing now it would be to make the app interface and the wall thermostat interface more similar. I prefer the wall unit interface but I could get used to either but I prefer not to juggle both which offers different routes to change some of the same functions.

**Developer response:** Dear danderson68,Thanks for reaching out! Could you please share screenshots at resdigital@carrier.com from your thermostat “Wireless -> advanced settings -> WiFi diagnostics ->server diagnostics". "Menu > Down Arrow > Wireless > Advance Settings > Manage DNSServer",Router Make & Model Thermostat serial number Sincerely, Bryant Home App Team.

### 5/5 — Well done!

*2024-02-03, version 1.7.14*

Intuitive, great graphics, so convenient, well done Bryant.

### 5/5 — Best HVAC Specialist Ever

*2023-09-26*

The compressor went out in my unit last Tues afternoon. I called Peter Pauley from Prime HVAC & a service tech was here within an hour. Tonight I am sitting at home with my brother & his wife from out of town with the coolest house on the block I am sure! As always, Prime HVAC gives speedy, courteous & professional attention to our needs. I am loving the new Bryant unit! I am able to navigate the web site with no problems, & believe me, I am no techie guru. Thank you again Prime HVAC for your continued excellent service & support. Betty Jo O’Sage

**Developer response:** Dear Betty Jo Osage,
Thank you for reaching out! We are thrilled to know about your experience. Meanwhile, if there are any issues/ feedback that you would like to share about the app, please feel free to drop a note at resdigital@carrier.com.

### 5/5 — Impressions after four or five years.

*2023-07-28, version 1.7.6*

I have had a Bryant furnace and thermostat for 4 to 5? years and much prefer the present newly designed app (it came in about 1 or 2 years ago? which seems to work well for me most of the time. The app only controls a Bryant gas furnace so it’s relatively simple. I had lots of issues with the old app. The UI design is also much better than the old version.

### 5/5 — A great hvac system and WiFi thermostat

*2023-05-19*

I replaced my 20 y/o perfectly fine hvac systems with these new, ultra-ellicient Bryant units. They are easily twice as efficient, virtually silent and easily controlled from anywhere with the iOS app. Couldn’t be happier and the additional cost should be quickly recaptured, especially considering the present high cost of energy. Installation by my Bryant dealer was flawless - like watching the Bolshoi of HVAC.

One big problem though - I cannot link then to my Alexa Echo devices. I could at first but that ability disappeared. I lived being able to ask Alexa to raise/lower the temp to specific temps. Wish Bryant would fix this!

**Developer response:** [5/29/2023]Dear Babydoc 111,
Thank you for reaching out! We are thrilled to know about your experience with our app. Meanwhile, if there are any issues/ feedback that you would like to share, please feel free to drop a note at resdigital@carrier.com.
