The Bryton Gardia app provides the tools you need to ride with confidence when paired with Bryton Gardia products. Using the Gardia app, you can be warned on your phone when approaching vehicles that are within 150 meters behind you and your bicycle. Alerts are color-coded based on surrounding traffic. Green means you’re all clear, yellow means at least one vehicle is approaching, and red means a vehicle is coming at you fast. Be cautious and then take action if you need. You can also receive tone and vibration alerts with color-coded alerts. Even when you are not looking at your phone, the Bryton Gardia app can still notify you promptly. Getting a lot of false positives, not the end of the world, but I’ve seen several false negatives recently too. Completely missed cars, flat road, straight line, nothing… I have no saddle bag, the device is high with nothing in the way too.

Good piece of kit that works well except that it doesn’t recognise cars that are travelling at the same speed as you behind you.  It goes green and gives the all clear when there is still a car close behind.

It seems to work flawlessly now. A superb tool to aid safety at a lower price than competitors with the additional benefit of more features. Thank you Bryton. - Now if you could slightly widen the radar alert strip on your Rider 420 display via an update in order to aid visibility (as I suggested to your customer service) … I’d be a very happy bunny indeed! It is very narrow and vehicles are difficult to see unless you have perfect vision (which I’m sure many of us don’t have). Cheers 👍

I don’t use a bike computer & rely on alerts from my phone
It works ok, but even with the phone volume turned right up I can’t hear the alerts when the phone is in a pocket. I would need to be holding the phone near my ears which obviously defeats the purpose.
It really needs an option to change the alert sound to be louder, more distinctive or longer duration
