If possible, it would be great if the following items were added. Navigation options for apps to use. Notes with time stamps, and updates for call to see while enroute. With that said, the app is funtional and works well. ### 4/5 — Works well *2025-09-16, version 6.4.0* App works well and agree with others that there are delays at time. It would be great if this also worked with Apple Watch. ### 3/5 — Missing vital features *2021-10-24, version 4.3.5* This app has potential but is too basic for now. Settings should be stored in iCloud so I don't have to manually alter them on a new phone or iPad. I should also be able to set the alert tone by unit rather than call type (the call types are meaningless with how our CAD interfaces). Being unable to upload an alert tone of my own is a huge drawback. You should be able to toggle critical alerts inside the app itself. These are little things but for an app that just has one real job they add up, especially the limited alert tone library. ### 4/5 — I would love to give it 5 stars. *2020-02-05, version 4.3.0* I work for a medium sized department of 11 stations with 250 employees. We have been using a different app for the past year and we are now giving Bryx a test run. Maybe it is because of the test run, that the one feature I would love to see is missing. I have been unable to filter the calls by unit. That is ok during the day, but at night it would be nice to turn off all other units except the one you are assigned to. Other than that this is a great app. I really love the ease of use and the mapping is very clean looking. ### 4/5 — Great app for volunteer fire departments *2017-07-23, version 4.1.1* Lets you know who is responding and where they are going. You can track apparatus on the map. The app alerts you to calls just like a pager, only better. You can set different alert tones for fire calls or for ems etc. it also gives you directions to the call if needed. They thought of everything! However, not all dispatch information is provided until AFTER the incident. There is no real time information on units responding, all the call notes from the EMD, unit status cannot be seen until the call has been completed. ### 1/5 — Find a better app. *2025-09-05, version 6.4.0* Awful support, if that of any. UI / alerts are half broken. Parsing is a joke. The commercial really had us intrigued but after zero support after countless emails we moved on. ### 2/5 — Used to be great as now almost has become useless - vendor compatibility *2026-06-07, version 7.3.1* This app used to be amazing and provide good quality data for our department and responders. Unfortunately, due to a recent update within our dispatching stack. The value of this application has diminished to almost useless. While we get the initial Page, it doesn’t provide us with any information and we seem to get all the data about our incident 3 to 5 hours later. Our regional Dispatch uses IMC so Bryx may not be the sole root cause, however, there is clear challenges here between the incompatibility of regularly used dispatching software in the solution. I hope these vendors are able to work together to provide a fix so that responders are provided with timely information. ### 2/5 — CarPlay *2023-12-22, version 6.1.15* The newest update removed Bryx from Apple CarPlay. ### 2/5 — Stopped working correctly *2022-01-04, version 4.4.2* It apparently doesn’t want to work with an iPhone. I receive the jobs but stopped getting alerts and notifications. No one can figure it out. However, there are occasions with noticeable delays between devices - it’ll go off in the rig 30 seconds before my phone/vice versa. Also, since switching to iPhone, I’ve noticed that it completely mutes the phone when the app is open. Long press on app iOS shortcut iOS action button. Widget I do it often.
