## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be ok, not so much with the update

*2024-11-12*

This app used to layer over whatever else you were playing, but not anymore.

### 1/5 — No good

*2024-07-15*

Charged $7.99 and every time I press play the app shuts down. 1 Star, DO NOT recommend…

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2023-12-06*

I just payed £5 and this app does not work. I am giving one star because I have to.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work as intended

*2021-01-15*

The app does not alternate sounds between headphones (which is required for EMDR).

### 1/5 — Developer Will Not Respond...

*2012-12-30*

This app is on average of $7 more than all others... very simple app to develop. I contacted the developer twice to ask one question... no response. I gave them plenty of time. There is nothing to indicate what frequencies the sound waves are. If they are alpha, gamma delta...etc. There is no actual instruction. Unless you are very experienced in what this application is used for and exactly how to use it, it is not a good idea to purchase it in my opinion.

### 2/5 — Misleading

*2013-05-20*

I purchased this because I thought I could utilize my own sounds/music bilaterally using the app but it doesnt have this function. It lets you have your music on (in both ears) and then layers the beeps into the background. Really no point in doing that because it cancels out the bilateral stimulation. The description is misleading about this. Disappointing. Save your $ and go for the cheaper app that does the same beeps.

### 3/5 — How does this work?

*2011-02-08*

How do you use this? Do you move your eyes at every beep?

### 4/5 — Good simple app

*2025-08-04*

Good basic simple app that is very easy for clients to access and use. Does not over complicate things with unneeded bells and whistles.
Keeping it simple works for me and my clients.

### 4/5 — App for EMDR

*2024-05-14*

This works very well with EMDR therapy in conjunction not sure whether it can be used on its own .

### 4/5 — Timer not suitable for Emdr

*2018-07-23*

One of the uses of this app is for remote Emdr sessions. Dual attention stimulus is normally for 20 - 30 seconds between sets.
My version does not enable this. Shame.
Also there could be a wider menu of sound types like clicks rather beeps etc etc
Thank you

### 5/5 — Recommended by my therapist

*2020-12-13*

This app was recommended by my therapist to disrupt my body’s pathway into anxiety. Just started using it. I will update this review in 1 month and see how it’s going.

### 5/5 — Emdr

*2020-04-10*

Très bonne appli qui fait ce qu’on lui demande. Exactement ce que je cherchais.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2013-02-24*

This is a very good app. I like it. It does work.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-01-05*

Love this app. Works great and does its job.

### 5/5 — Great App - Helps My Insomnia

*2012-01-13*

I really like this app. I have chronic insomnia, and the bilateral stimulation puts me to sleep. My only complaint is that the app keeps the iPod screen bright and drains the battery by the time I wake up in the morning. I wish this app would keep running even when the iPod is locked so it doesn't use as much of the battery.

### 5/5 — Emdr

*2011-08-12*

Merci cette application m a Ete d un grand recours entre deux séances avec un thérapeute . Dans des moments critiques c est génial merci

### 5/5 — Paul Turner, Psy.D.

*2011-03-17*

Very serviceable 'app' for bi-lateral auditory stimulation. In addition to EMDR, this 'app' serves as a personal metronome for setting tones/tempi conducive to mental states ranging from relaxation/meditation to focused concentration. PROMPT SUPPORT! 5-Star-Rating for this 'app.' When my BSDR Player recently 'froze,' Mr. Krasnicki advised me to re-boot my iPhone and now the 'app' works perfectly. Within the past week, I have recommended BSDR Player to 3 of my patients. It's versatility makes it superior to the competing NeuroTek device.

### 5/5 — Very nice

*2011-01-17*

Very nice app, could you add background play, so I can play other songs at the same time this app is working. If you could add some processing modules for different traumas would be great. Thanks

### 5/5 — Like it a lot

*2010-10-05*

Very nice EMDR player, does the job.
And you can controll all the variables.
