Also there is useless silent audio on the video tutorials, meaning you can’t listen to music whilst learning- even though it is a silent video. Just frustrating I can’t find a decent BSL app ### 2/5 — Too many ads *2020-12-28, version 4.1* Way too many ads, and doesn’t help when some is wrong too, like I swear the first three letter word is Hat, not Hot. ### 2/5 — As a student, this is confusing. *2020-10-26, version 4.1* I’m a student of BSL. The signs in this app differ massively from the BSL curriculum. In particular, the colours section. Another review has mentioned it, but those signs are none that I’ve seen - so I assume they are not actually BSL, or perhaps a regional variation which is niche. On top of that, the constant ads for every single button. It’s just an app I can’t recommend. When selecting a clip TWO timed Ads pop-up and some take you strait off the app and onto the store to download a random game. It ISNT a one time pop-up or even every 5 minutes or so... It’s TWO ads every time you click on anything. I would find a different app and save yourself some grief. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t teach you real sign language *2020-05-01, version 4.0* I thought it would be cool to learn real sign language ‘BSL’ but then I found out this app teaches you fake sign language. I searched up BSL colours and found out this app doesn’t know sign language. Maybe this app is for a different type of sign language but don’t use this app if you want to speak to deaf people ### 2/5 — Good idea, pity it isn’t as good as it appears *2020-04-22, version 4.0* I got this app to help practice signing. It works well on WiFi but won’t load on mobile data. Shame really, as it’s a good idea. I have done 3 finger spelling videos and I’m done with the app. I wouldn’t be able to learn anything as it’s so frustrating the amount of adverts. I would not recommend this app to anyone, sorry ### 1/5 — Different *2022-02-14, version 4.1* This differs from what i have seen and learnt previously so I’m confused and I would not learn from it anyway as you can not click off the adds. You have to come out and then go back in. Useless all round. ### 1/5 — Videos take too long to load. *2022-02-13, version 4.1* Having purchased the pro version to remove the excessive ads it is still apparent the quality of this app needs greater thought. Whilst functional and has potential the videos take far too long to load and in most cases don’t load at all. Just linger in a loading loop. With the speed of mobile and WiFi this should not be an issue. For the advertisers - I will NEVER purchase or engage with anything which is so intrusive or annoying. So it’s very counterproductive. Constructively - the video clips would be more useful on a loop, to better grasp the sign. I know you can pay to get rid of them, and it’s fairly cheap, but can you please make it so you don’t get an advert every time you press something.
