I booked a number through the Selfcare app and received a confirmation SMS with a reservation PIN, which clearly indicated that the number was successfully reserved. However, when I visited the BSNL office the same day, the staff informed me that number reservations are no longer supported. This is extremely confusing and frustrating, as the app still allows users to reserve numbers and even generates a PIN. This reflects poor coordination between the digital platform and on-ground operations. Customers are being misled into believing a service is available when it is not actually supported at the office level. BSNL should either: 1. Disable the reservation feature in the app, or 2. Ensure that all offices honor reservations made through the system Until this issue is resolved, users may end up wasting time and effort based on inaccurate information. Kindly fix this inconsistency. ### 1/5 — Very Poor App — Can’t Even Register or Add Account *2025-10-17* The BSNL Self Care mobile app is extremely frustrating to use. I’m not even able to register or add my landline account — it keeps showing “Invalid landline phone number” even though I entered the correct number. The same number works perfectly on the BSNL Self Care web portal, so clearly the issue is with the app. On top of that, the app feels buggy — in some fields, the keyboard doesn’t even pop up, making it impossible to type anything. It’s disappointing that such a basic issue still exists. The BSNL team really needs to fix these problems and test the app properly before releasing updates. ### 1/5 — Jaskirat *2025-08-22, version 3.5* It is good app but not satisfying as the poor is BSNL network and services ### 1/5 — Customer service and options *2025-08-22* I'm happy with the performance of the app and my only concern is about the customer service. You're customer service is worse and not at all helpful in changing plans for broadband. You don't give option in online or via customer service to downgrade a plan or suspend or cancel. The only option you give for plan downgrade is visiting exchange which more that 30KM from my home and if I need to visit also I need to travel to home town which is 350KM+. So atleast for some exceptions this options shohld be given. Even the supervisor are also of no use as when I called I was asked to call after 2 hours which is disgusting. I'll be going and cancelling this service soon. While app has been infused with colours and some neat animations, there are still issues with the experience. On the payment gateway page, I couldn’t see what I was typing in UPI ID field due to the BILLDESK logo blocking it.
