Not only is it entertaining in every way, but it’s also educational and truthful. As a mom of 3 black children, I made sure that not only myself but each of them has this app and that they read these comics. The graphics are phenomenal and they give a great history of black culture that every black child should know. Parents, make sure your kids read these comics and support this great company. Second of all I asked the owner if I could pay for an entire comic series and he said theres an update that allows you to to missions to where you can unlock in app upgrades to where you can unlock things for free. I asked him to take my money and he said “don’t even worry about it!” He built different! Furthermore I thought i had to make a purchase for in app content the other day and found out that because of the first mission I completed when I first opened the app, I was able to watch the entire series I downloaded the app to read. BSP overdelivers on EVERY front. The BSP Comics app is another tool that makes that content more available to the masses too easily access an consume for their enjoyment. The BSP Comics app will continue to evolve into a more refined product that users won’t be without. Download BSP Comics app, use it, critique it, too help improve its performance for every user. I personally love the development of the characters that are portrayed in each of the storylines, something to definitely grow with. ### 5/5 — Keep it going *2021-05-13, version 1.2.5* My cousin introduced me to this on IG. I started following and have been hooked from day 1. Keep grinding because you are going to make major moves in the industry. I find myself getting lost in the stories sometimes I forget that I’m working 😂. I fully support and will reach out to invest 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can be rude to other content creators and fans *2022-03-24, version 1.6.0* So, I followed them for a while and was interested in their work, but then they posted something where a content creator was giving them criticism (which many ppl have said they aren’t good at taking) so they posted them on their account, had their followers bash the person, and also call them a bed wench (which je a disrespectful term). This led to some of BSP’s investors pulling out because they didn’t stop to think that maybe their investors had non-black spouses, so you see how this affected some people. They continued to blast the creator on tik tok and Instagram, and have also blocked and been rude to people including kids who tried to give them criticism or tell them if their app has had a few bugs which is ridiculous. Although I support black creators to the fullest, I cannot support problematic ones. ### 1/5 — How is this getting five stars? *2021-06-29, version 1.2.7* Are we that desperate for Black content? First, this app has some the loudest, most annoying music I’ve ever heard in an app. Completely out of place in an app like this. Second, you can’t turn it off because even if there’s an option somewhere, you can’t access any other part of the app until you read the first chapter. I guess. I refused to read any further. This isn’t a game where you prevent me getting to level 2 until I finish level 1, it’s supposed to be a book app. Third, the creators are completely unresponsive, which is the worst thing of all and why I won’t give this app a second look, even if they update it. ### 3/5 — Needs Work *2021-05-02, version 1.2.1* I was genuinely looking forward to this app because of what it promised; a space for black comic creators and stories to exist in their own space. It was an amazing concept, but the execution thus far leaves a lot to be desired. From the music that can’t be disabled, no matter what you’re doing (even if you’re reading a comic), to the categories listed in the library with NO comics in them (not to mention the very blurry banners)...overall this app feels like it was rushed, but it’s new so there’s always room for improvement and growth. Until then, I don’t know how often I’ll frequent the app. ### 4/5 — Beautiful and Full of Potential *2021-12-30, version 1.5.0* The comics are wonderful and the variety of art, representation, and stories is perfection. My only complaints are with the app itself. There needs to be an ad free option. It could be a monthly subscription with a one time lifetime payment option but it needs to happen. Also the upvote/downvote buttons dont always work. Please fix these two things asap.🥰 ### 4/5 — What’s more to say? Support the movement! *2021-07-02, version 1.2.7* We need more people to support the app so that they can constantly improve and add new features and ideas to an already amazing idea of uniting the Black Sands story with a marketplace that doesn’t require you to pay out of pocket, but instead gives you daily activities to unlock other chapters and stories fro other Black and Brown creators! I’ve invested in this company because I believe in the stories being told her and I love the idea of an app coming onto the scene and blowing Marvel and Comixology out the water and now it’s turning heads and making people curious. This is one train you ladies and gentlemen need to hop on. The future is goes as far as our support; tv show, movies, video games, and more: sky's the limit. Let’s give BSP the attention it needs to grow! ### 4/5 — It’s great but it’s not WEBTOON *2021-05-29, version 1.2.5* I first downloaded the app because it was being marketed as the first black WEBTOON then when I downloaded it I saw that it wasn’t like WEBTOON. Yes WEBTOON is a publishing company and has artists that makes WEBTOON original comics but it also has a place where people like me, who don’t know how to work with WEBTOON but still want to upload our comics on the app and I thought black sands was going have that too but they don’t you have to get hired by black sands for your comic to be seen on the app and I’m disappointed ### 5/5 — Where can we post? *2022-02-01, version 1.6.0* There is no option to upload your own work. Is this only for published comics? I was under the impression that this was like WEBTOON where we can post our work and read from others. It’s a great app though, I support it; but I’m a creative and want to post my comics in a space like this like I’d do on WEBTOON or tapas.
