Can’t upload another violation instantly after reporting one, currently we have to wait for few minutes 2. Try to scroll down too much to view previous submissions, the app crashes ### 2/5 — Image not available *2026-01-08* I have been fined for parking on main road, but not able to see the image/evidence. When raising a dispute and mentioning the same, the app just logs out- happened more than 5 times. ### 2/5 — Report violation gets rejected due to location *2025-10-16* After reporting a violation the status shows rejected due to location information not provided, there is no option on this app to provide the location while reporting a violation. ### 2/5 — Bad App *2025-08-22* Getting logged out after dispute is submitted and dispute is not recorded. Only verify option comes up and no option to pay. Very very slow at 2AM !!! All these issues should be sorted out before production rollout. So much time wasted. ### 2/5 — Needs a whole lot of revamping of the current app *2025-06-02* The app has some potential but failing to keep up with expectations. The Public Eye app is still way better than this but they’re not monitoring the complaints anymore. So many bugs and issues. The violation photos posted on the app shifts the actual violation time by +5 hours and 30 minutes Viewing public eye violation reported by me section causes the BTP app to use too much of RAM that all my other apps gets terminated and then eventually the BTP app crashes. Newly registered(less than one year old) vehicles don’t even get the fines raised after posting the complaints. It’s like they are immune to the reported violations and simply gets ignored like forever. This happened with the public eye app as well. Violations reported don’t get fines raised even after 2-3 months. There’s no proper way to view the status of the reported violations at all ### 1/5 — UX Improvement Required *2025-02-02* Making a complaint especially of perpetrators flouting law also means its very time based. The app’s design should be be made easy to do this. Following could be fixed: Option to upload photo from gallery is required. The camera feature-on astram app can be slow and can result in blurred photos. Option to first take photo and then do all categorisation. If i meed to make a complaint of a person jumping red light, i first have to open app, select the right category and then take photo as of now, by the time all this is done, the perpetrators would have left. If possible auto identification of number plate ### 3/5 — Public eye needs to be updated *2025-01-30* The option of adding photos from the album must be included . The current option only lets you open the camera . It would always be easier to use the camera app to click a picture , Rather than open the app , log in then select public eye and so on . Earlier same photo was accepted. Please fix this issue. Why will I open camera in middle of the road and upload on app? We want the upload from gallery back with geolocation not getting stripped. ### 1/5 — Disastrous update: Removed gallery upload feature *2026-07-16* The latest update has completely ruined the usability of this app. Removing the ability to upload photos from the phone gallery makes no sense. Nobody has the time, or the safety, to stand in the middle of busy traffic, open the app, and report a violation right on the spot. I usually capture photos of violations safely using my phone camera throughout the day and report them at the end of the day when I have time. By forcing the use of the live, in-app camera, you have made it impossible to report these violations later. Please bring back the gallery upload option with strict backend metadata or GPS verification instead of disabling the feature entirely. You are just making it harder for citizens to cooperate with the traffic police. ### 1/5 — Unable to signup *2026-07-16* The app says update and when I come inside App Store to update there is no update. If a government app is so pathetic that it can’t even allow people to login and function properly then the entire process doesn’t meet any purpose. It tells you exactly what’s wrong with the whole system. Apps developed by amature developers from 7th and 8th standards will have better responses. I am unable to even enter my name and phone number and save my profile on the application which are actual starting steps of a registration on any application across the globe..!!! ### 1/5 — Very bad *2025-09-13* Anyways the app was very bad. Now after this latest update, now this doesn’t even let me in. It is stuck in the loop. It asks for the update and take me to the store and as it is already updated when I click on open it starts the same loop again. ### 1/5 — Amount deducted *2025-09-03* Hi Team , I have checked my bike fines and paid one of it , amount deducted but it was not updated I lost 250rs , and today voluntarily I have paid at traffic police Person at my location and I don’t know where I get back my money which is I paid at this app , ### 1/5 — BTP Astram App Needs Urgent Fixes – 200 Complaints, Zero Action *2025-07-08* These days, violators don’t do just one mistake it’s minimum 3 to 4 violations at once! Riding triples, no helmets, jumping signal, number plate removed all in one go! But in the BTP Astram app, we are allowed to report only one violation per complaint. I have raised nearly 200 complaints in the last 5 months, but not even a single challan has been issued. That’s really disappointing. Kindly update the app with: 1. Option to select multiple violations in one complaint like in Public Eye and I Change My City apps. 2. Option to upload 2 photos for example, when someone removes the back number plate, we can post the front plate photo to identify the vehicle. 3. Action on pending complaints at least verify and raise challans on the 200+ complaints I’ve submitted so far. Please fix this if you want citizens to keep supporting enforcement with proof and effort. ### 1/5 — Report Submitted *2025-06-26* Till date I have uploaded close to 100 images of tragic violations. Status show “Report Submitted”. Once cops approve the image status must show “Submitted” or “Approved”. But till date I don’t see any changes. I guess it’s wast app and no point helping cops by using this app. O spoke with many traffic inspector about this, I was advised continue this good work. But no action from cops or Bengaluru traffic police. Highly disappointed. ### 1/5 — Needs Major Improvements *2025-02-08* The BTP Astram app needs serious improvements. It doesn’t allow users to upload videos or photos from their gallery, including crucial evidence from dash cams or helmet cameras. Expecting someone to take a picture while driving and open the app simultaneously is unrealistic and goes against the law, as using a mobile while driving is a violation. This limitation makes the app ineffective and inconvenient for reporting violations. Developers should have considered real-world scenarios and user-friendliness before launching the app. Please make the necessary changes to make it practical and truly useful, rather than a namesake app. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Very smooth. I’ve been using this app to track fines for my vehicles, and honestly, it’s been super helpful. One feature I really liked is the Public Eye section where users can report traffic violations-it’s such a smart move! I do feel like it could be even better if you added more reporting options, like: A. Minor driving B. Both rider and pillion not wearing protective gear C. And a few more common violations we see on the roads. Overall, huge shoutout to the devs! The app makes tracking fines really easy. I might not have any past or present fines (thankfully), but it’s great to stay updated. Features like these can really help create safer roads and more responsible riders. Since most of the captures are from a dashcam, it helps us to upload the video directly. Also not all dashcams capture geo location, so violation is getting rejected. This needs to be addressed. **Developer response:** Hi Sir, Thank you for your review. You have rightly pointed out the geolocation issue. This geolocation embedded in photo is a must for raising any Challan / Notice. Hence it is mandatory. The other thing about Videos is shared with the Developer team. The message only states that upload has failed without giving the reason why it failed. After lot of clicks it works at times. When the image is selected and violation is selected. After I submit I see the violation gets submitted but immediately gets rejected with reason "no geo location found in the photo".. Either it's not asking me to select any location or have a option of providing the location. **Developer response:** Sir, The geolocation should be available in the metadata of the Photo captured in your phone. It can happen because location sharing may be switched off in your device. Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security. Tap Location Services.
