## What is BTR Crime?

Get an excellent view of police activity for the City of Baton Rouge!  This application graphically displays reported crimes throughout Baton Rouge using data from an initiative to make data more transparent.

Set date ranges to see historical Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) data and crime patterns in local neighborhoods.

This application is not affiliated with the City of Baton Rouge or the Baton Rouge Police Department.  It uses public data as reported by the BRPD and Baton Rouge Information Systems Department.  No guarantee is made on the data as it is only as accurate as the reported data in the BRPD and City of Baton Rouge's crime systems. This app looks great but I cant get it to work on my phone, nor can I find a way to get support from developers. Support, please contact me or put a new contact number/email up somewhere!

This is an awesome app and clearly shows crime levels in various areas of the city.   Developer makes good use of the publicly available information on the Baton Rouge open access site.  HOWEVER, for those of us who live in an area serviced by the EBR Sheriff’s Dept rather than BR Police - be aware there will be no crime data shown for those areas as apparently,  Sheriff’s Office data is not used in the BR open access site, for reasons unknown to me.    The app itself is great - opens quickly, not a lot of extras to fuss with. I just wish the data were more inclusive for those of us in the parish but not in city limits.
