Practise exam papers are very similar to exam questions and really helped me pass RO1 first time. Saves so much time manually marking test papers and gets straight to the learning point required on any wrong answers rather than going through the book for ages! I have mocks from loads of different sources but found the questions in the app the most like exam questions. I even had a few of the exact same questions in my R04 exam yesterday! The fact that’s it’s on my phone means I can revise on the go if I have a spare few minutes. Also when you get incorrect answers they give you the correct answer with a logical explanation! ### 5/5 — 5* for BTS! *2018-03-19, version 1.25* This app is fantastic to work along side the BTS study guide. The study guides are easy to read and have great examples and exercises in them. Each chapter has a short test at the end and then there is a full exam style paper at the back of the book. The app is great for when I’m not able to carry my book around with me, when I am at work or just want to do a few minutes revision during the day. It explains all of the answers clearly and it saves all of your past scores so you can see how you are improving. I passed 2 exams first time by using study material and the app. I have just purchased my next lot 👍🏼 ### 5/5 — Great study companion *2018-02-05, version 1.25* I used the Study Buddy app to get through my RO1 exam. Coming from a non financial background, it explains all the answers in clear and easy to follow language ( unlike the CII and revisionmate). Will be using for the rest of my RO’s, a must have! ### 5/5 — Associate partner *2018-02-04, version 1.25* This app is definitely a must have for anyone sitting the r0 exams. I passed first time with every exam and I have no doubt it was down to the learning picked up from the app. As well as questions and answers the app provides a very clear explanation of the correct and wrong answers so learning is consolidated with every question. There is a huge bank of questions so by the time I did the exam I felt like I had seen quite a number of them before. It allows you to choose each exam and then gives you a breakdown of the different chapters to perfectly tune your knowledge. It gives real life exam questions, which CII and other alike websites don't give, giving you the real experience of the exams. Instant feedback and challenging questions make this the ideal app in order for you to give yourself the best chance of passing. The team who produce this are top quality trainers providing real life examples, sitting each exam numerous annually in order to give you the best chance of passing and having the most up to date questions. Would 100% recommend this app as the best one out there to combine with your book in order to give yourself the best chance of passing the exams. Useless ### 1/5 — Too expensive *2021-03-24, version 1.41* £80 per chapter is too expensive, considering before it was £30 per chapter looking at previous comments. And not enough questions considering the price I paid, there are other apps out there for better value. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t save my tests *2026-06-11, version 1.66* This app has been good but it has stopped saving my tests when I want to go into check over questions. I don’t feel the questions are as hard as the CII exam ones so it puts you into a false sense of security. For £54.99 per volume I will be going elsewhere for my other exams. Their study guides are superb though ### 3/5 — It’s okay *2026-04-24, version 1.66* I used this app to try to pass R02. I was passing the tests in this at 80%+ but the exam was much harder and the questions in the app didn’t really reflect the ones in the exam. It definitely helped, but was not as useful as I’d hoped. ### 3/5 — Great app shame that the payment screen won’t take! *2024-01-22, version 1.53* Impossible to get the pymt method accepted! After being utterly perplexed at how different the CII text & study materials for RO1 were to the actual exam questions I am so pleased I got hold of Study Buddy for RO3. I would highly recommend BTS!! ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — As close to the exam as you can get *2022-08-15, version 1.50* Having purchased a couple of different question banks from other providers as well as using CII’s knowledge checker, I can honestly say after passing the RO1 exam with 80% that this app provides the most realistic questions that you will come across in the exam. Definitely money we’ll spent. ### 5/5 — Highly recommend *2021-11-19, version 1.45* Learning with BTS felt like a close knit community. After taking my R05 multiple time, this app really taught to understand what the question was asking. As we know multiple choice questions can be a little tricky with wording, especially if English isn’t your first language. Jeff at BTS was brilliant and giving free advice and checking in to see how I was getting on with revision. I cannot recommend enough! ### 5/5 — Highly recommended if you want to pass RO’s *2019-09-23, version 1.36* So far I have passed RO1, RO2, RO3, RO4 and RO5 first time and the BTS study buddy app definitely helped me achieve this. Easy to download and take either full exams or sections. I found taking a full exam then looking at the results, which shows you the areas that I was the weakest on and just doing as many test within those specific areas, very helpful. Followed by another full exam and my marks always improved. Also helped that I could do smaller tests whilst on the bus or when I had a few minutes to spare. The time checker kept me in time too. I love everything digital and it is a solid platform with very helpful questions on it. I have passed my R05 and R03 exams using the app and do feel it has made a difference. I am a mum of 3 and spend my entire life running around. Being able to do exams and learn whilst on the go made this a must for me.
