The customer service was pretty bad about half the time I used it (for 8+ months). Delivery/pickup would be delayed and you don’t get an update unless you text first. Pick up/drop off is great and they communicate when they’re coming/going, and even more so if they might be late, which is rare. This was the only one with great reviews and I’m happy to say they did not disappoint. Awesome communication on pickup and delivery, super nice guy, and so seamless even in the middle of the pandemic. I used them for the first time ever a couple weeks ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They were legit. They came and did pick up when they said they were coming, and dropped off the next day. I respect that. All of my clothes that I sent them with cake back too (which is really important when you’re a single parent). I am SUPER busy, and employed in the medical field && an artist on the side. I desperately needed help with handling my laundry— but also can you imagine the stains on my clothes.. from patients to paint. Every time my clothes have come back looking brand new. They come all the way upstairs and pick up your laundry && then return it 24 hours later. I have had occasions where I was pulled out the house, and wasn’t around to receive the laundry but they STILL DROPPED IT OFF and even took a photo to show me, it had been left securely !! I trust them 100% with my laundry. You know you can trust someone when they fold all your clothes, match ALL of your socks and beautifully fold your fitted sheets. That may not be a big deal to you— but I cannot stand fitted sheet folding. It usually just ends up in a semi-ball in the closet lol. To further show how great the customer service is— they have even traveled through the winter heavy snow storms to deliver my clothes. Currently during this COVID-19 Pandemic they are still working. The only change is they request you leave it outside the door to avoid spread of germs. I cannot convey how important this is— I need my scrubs every Monday to start off my work week, and the effort to go the extra mile is just amazing. I am truly grateful for Joey and the gang !! They have been amazing!! Thanks for making my life just that less stressful— best always, an essential tired worker !! ### 5/5 — Great service *2020-03-25, version 1.0* I’ve been using Bubbly for over a year now, I must say they never seem to disappoint. I’ve tried many laundromats for their drop off service since I don’t want to spend my little free time doing laundry. They have been the best, from the smell of the fabric softener on the clothes to folding and organizing it. Every Friday I look forward to the dirty laundry pick up and clean drop off the very next day. With other laundry services, I was never really satisfied, they would either lose some clothing or ruin them, but with bubbly I haven’t experienced that, they have made me trust in these type of services again. It was cheap so I though it was gonna come back average, but it came back really really clean and folded nice, I will definitely be using them again. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Use Rinse Repeat instead *2023-05-17, version 1.0* I’ve used this service one time and have already decided to go with a different option (probably Rinse) once my one month subscription is finished. First of all, the website has conflicting information. In one place, it implies that you provide your own bag. In the FAQ, it says that they provide the bag for you. I emailed support asking for clarification and never received a response after a week. Not off to a great start. (I ended up providing my own bag) So I scheduled a pickup for Saturday afternoon. I received a text on Friday stating “We look forward to your pickup tomorrow.” The day of my pickup, I receive an email saying that they don’t service Manhattan on weekends and that I need to cancel my order. This is not stated *anywhere* on their website, app, or FAQ. It also is not stated in their welcome email/text after you subscribe. It would have been nice to know that the most convenient time for me to be home for pickups and deliveries was completely off limits before I dropped $100. So I rescheduled my pickup for 6-7pm on Monday. At around 6:55pm, when they hadn’t arrived yet, I check the app again. They changed my window to 6-8pm without notifying me — a window that did not work for me. Fortunately the driver arrived exactly at 7pm, but just be advised that they will change your pickup/delivery window without telling you. I scheduled my delivery for 6-7pm Tuesday. At 6:30, I received a text stating that they were running late and would arrive between 8-10pm. At 7:30pm, I received a text stating that the driver was having car problems and my delivery would come the next day. I asked what time it would arrive, and they said my window was 7-8am. Perhaps you’re noticing a trend here! At 6:20am, I received a text that they were 15 minutes away. I normally keep my phone on silent, but I kept the ringer on specifically because I expected another mishap. Lo and behold, they showed up 30 minutes before the window that *they* gave me. There are plenty of other options out there that will allow you to avoid the headache of this terrible service. Rinse Repeat is $96 for two bags a month with an annual subscription, and they don’t have a weight limit (along with other perks like weekend service.) ### 1/5 — STAY AWAY *2022-02-03, version 1.0* Used this laundry service one time- when i got my clothes back(late) they reeked of cigarettes and food? I asked for a refund and have now sent 4 emails with zero response. I’m out $140 because i spent $70 with Bubbly and then had to send it out again with another service. Disgusting. ### 1/5 — Terrible service *2022-01-14, version 1.0* I truly gave this service a chance, over a year to be more precise, and constantly had issues. They would try to come earlier than you scheduled or even worse show you much later even days later with your laundry. They do not provide a number you can call so you have to email or text with any issues. The last straw was when I received the wrong laundry back and they couldn’t even muster up an apology. They have absolutely no customer service and have a frustrating lack of communication. It’s also impossible to get in touch with someone at the service because no one responds to either the number you’re supposed to text or their support email. Only when we inquired, they let us know it is delayed to 8-9pm. It’s 9:44pm and still nothing, no notice at all. WHERE IS MY DELIVERY? Not worth paying $30 for 2 bags of laundry with such unreliable service ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2021-09-05, version 1.0* I have been using this service for about a year now give it take, i have 3 kids so going to the laundromat is not always easy so I figured this would simplify things…boy was I wrong! The laundry service is ok, they clean the clothes as they should the issue is most definitely with the pickup/drop-off part of this service….I am writing this as I wait for them to pick up my laundry that was scheduled to be picked up between 8pm and 9pm…it’s is past 9pm and I just got a text saying ETA 40 min…this is also not the first time I’ve had issues with pickup/drop-off….sometimes they are very punctual, even early and others it’s a guessing game…I am looking for a new service because I can’t…I gave them a chance and it’s just not worth it for the amount of money I pay(not to mention that their prices have gone up and service down) to not have a reliable service. UPDATE: it is now Sunday 9/5 I had my laundry scheduled to be delivered yesterday between 8pm and 9pm….I have not heard ANYTHING FROM ANYONE about the status of my laundry delivery…STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP AND THEIR SERVICE THEY ARE UNRELIABLE AND THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY ONLY HAVE A TRXT ONLY NUMBER THAT NOONE ANSWERS AND AN EMAIL THAT NOONE MONITORS…IT IS UNACCEPTABLE LAST TOME IM USINF THIS SERVICE i just hope I can get my laundry back soon ### 1/5 — Lost my clothing *2021-05-05, version 1.0* They so called got robbed and $1000 worth of clothes gone forever and all they could do was give $200. It wasn’t a big deal although no one contacted me to notify me that they would be late. However my clothes were supposed to be dropped off the next day between 7-8am. Its 3pm & my clothes aren’t here, I’ve emailed them, texted their contact text only # 3x. I still have not heard back. That is absolutely unacceptable. I will be working with my lawyer on filing a small claims lawsuit if I don’t hear back by 5pm. Do not use this business! ### 1/5 — Laundry skipped...TWICE *2021-03-27, version 1.0* With Bubbly you schedule your pickups and drop offs so that you can ensure things are taken care of. I have now had my pick ups skipped twice!! Both times I responded to the confirmation message affirming that I would definitely be needing the service and both times I have patiently waiting till hours have passed beyond my designated pick up times. I have emailed, texted, and called but no one working for Bubbly has gotten back to me. No one seems to care that I’m paying $70 a month to be ignored and not receive the service I’m paying for. Be wary signing up for this.
