I tried this multiple times. I have to get on a computer to send an email. ### 2/5 — Issues with latest update *2022-01-06* The latest update seems to have issues. The screen freezes upon opening the app and has a noticeable delay when selecting emails. ### 1/5 — Disappearing Cursor *2021-01-24, version 5.1* Hard to compose a email when the cursor will not go down to the message body ### 1/5 — App is crap - Buckeye Doesn’t Care *2021-01-12* Just installed latest version, can’t reply or author an email because you can’t place a curser in the body portion of the email. Deleted some email accounts and re-entered the emails, still didn’t work. This is about the third time since they recommended this app, I’ve fought issues. Buckeye doesn’t host their own emails, about 5 years ago they sub-contracted it out, this latest contractor is the worst - they recommend this crappy app as solution to their email that won’t work with IOS. Junk on top junk. Then when you call their support, with each call they inform you of an additional limitation that wasn’t intended with the app. What a joke, and my wife and I have been faithful customers with their newspaper and internet, etc., since the beginning and this is what we get. **Developer response:** The issue you reported was fixed in the most recent version of the app v5.1 where you can put the cursor inside the typed text in Composer. If you'd like to reply the email and edit or add the text into original email you are replying to, you need to use "long tap" to place the cursor inside that original email. This was done specifically to avoid users from unintentional / occasional breaking the structure of original email. We are really sorry that because of such minor note you've rated the app with one star... Good luck sending any draft you have inadvertantly saved. The web access wasmuch better. I think I will be using my gmail app more frequently. ### 1/5 — New app rating *2020-09-24* If I could give this ridiculous app a negative 10 star rating I would. Have tried multiple times and ways to delete an email to no avail. Now I have hundreds of emails I can’t get rid of. I should be able to easily delete them using my phone and yet no. Worst app I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. Garbage and clearly not ready for public usage. Buckeye should be embarrassed. **Developer response:** Thank you for review. Then yesterday I noticed if I try to send or forward an email it just sits in my outbox. Will not send. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and called buckeye for help. They could not solve this issue so I deleted the app and went back the other mail app. Ironically thats why I started using buckey mail app in the first place. I was frustrated because the emails weren’t showing up in the native iPhone mail client. They show up in this though! ### 5/5 — It works! *2024-12-12* NO SETUP You don’t need to know server name or port numbers or SSL settings. You just login! IT WORKS No intermittent issues like Apple Mail is currently having with incoming mail. ITS FAST You open it and within 3 seconds your new mail is arriving. NEW FEATURES New features are coming. Mass delete is next on the list. Call Buckeye and tell them what you would like! ### 5/5 — Works better than mail app on my phone *2020-12-29* This app work way better than the mail on my iPhone. Actually, email fitting the screen width depends on whether the original HTML message is mobile screen-friendly or not, so sometimes it's impossible to reduce the width of HTML content to entirely fit the screen. I was told by a buckeye tech that the buckeye email doesn’t do this. **Developer response:** By default, the Badge counter on Home Screen Icon shows the number of UNREAD email messages. If you'd like it to show NEW emails, you can enable it in app Settings -> Mail -> Badge Counter -> New Emails Only. You have to delete each email separately. There is no select option so you can select numerous emails to delete all at once. I going back to outlook mail to view my emails ### 2/5 — Cannot sign in after update *2025-07-19* I just updated the app today and went to go use my email and I had to sign in, don’t know why and it says it’s not valid. I tried 3 times of signing in and didn’t work. But I have spent hours trying to configure contacts even with the Buckeye rep to no avail. And the help information is also out of date, and apparently not totally useful either. Other than keeping me from having to delete mail three times across three devices to get rid of one mail, I don’t think much of it. ### 2/5 — No mass delete, poor design *2024-06-13* I do not like the design compared to the Apple email app. There is no way to delete several emails at once. If you have more than one email account, there is no quick way to tell which account you are looking at. The “star” symbol you have to use to flag an email is too small and not quickly spotted. Would prefer a split screen option with a list of emails on the left and the email you are reading on the right. Haven’t figured out how my sent emails are signed.
