## What is Buddies?

Buddies is a social platform to meet likeminded people in your area through community-hosted events. It is designed around small, informal meet-ups based on a shared interest, and users can create and join an event in just a few clicks.

No matter your interest, there's a fair chance other people in your city share that interest. Wouldn't it be cool to have an app to meet those people? Well, now you do. Whether you've found a new hobby, moved to a new city or you just want to meet likeminded people, Buddies is there to help you make new friends.

Buddies is for all age groups, but sometimes you only want to meet people your own age or your own gender. That's no problem. As an event organizer, you're in full control of who's allowed to join. You can both restrict events based on age and/or gender or review participant profiles before they're allowed to join.
