They really do send you stuff for free and u *don’t* pay for shipping! U have a lot of things to choose from too (for cats and dogs). U can choose soft treats, hard treats, cans of food, mats, a bundle, kitten food (i think), bow tie for ur pet, etc. For the record: i’m not affiliated with them in any way. ### 5/5 — Very cool app! *2023-01-08, version 1.9.4* I enjoy this app so much! We have been through many different brands, flavors and variety along with even doing home made foods for awhile. Higher food prices has made it less cost efficient for us. We decided to give Blue a try. Luckily they love it and seem to really enjoy eating again. It has helped two of our labs get weight back, which they needed. Our 5 month old pup also loves it. They are very active labs and love to play. Seems nice to have them doing so well. Recent check ups at the Vets found them all doing amazing and where they should be at weight wise and healthy. I definitely recommend it to others. Love the buddy program earning points towards free food and merchandise. Endless information for great ideas, tricks, behavior articles. 5 stars for our fur family… ### 5/5 — Super Helpful *2022-11-10, version 1.8.0* I got this app when I first got my puppy. I started feeding him the blue buffalo brand because I liked the ingredients. I had also gotten him a few pack of the treats for training. The little QR codes for points are a nice way to get rewards for free. The app helps me keep track of when I need to administer my dogs medication and when he achieves something I can mark it down. I definitely recommend this app if you’re looking for a way to track medications and just looking for a way to remember your dogs achievements. ### 5/5 — Love this idea *2022-10-27, version 1.8.0* Love that when we buy a variety of foods & treats we also get points to save for more! We don’t always get our points in the big bags of dog food, would love to see customer service have an option to add points for us when that happens. Ruth loves it! Prior to this, we would always get whatever was cheap on the shelf at the grocery store for our 5-yr old Norfolk Terrier mix & we never stuck to the same brand. What I especially love, other than knowing that both dogs are now eating good quality dog food, is scanning barcodes & earning points to redeem for special treats! This is so fun! It allows us to try their other products & keeps me to continue buying the same brand, Blue Buffalo. No more switching! I inherited two cats with diabetes when my brother passed away. I put them on Buffalo blue and in one years time they are no longer diabetic and one lost 12 pounds, and 2nd cat 10pounds. I just adopted a dog from the shelter and she was being fed whatever was donated. Two of the bags had QR codes, and two bags did not. I purchased them from the same store on 2 different dates. I don’t know if it was a malfunction on their production line or a new policy, but I’m not sure if I’ll be reaching for bags of their cookies above other brands. Also, the review about future lawsuits and your rights being raised if your pets become ill is also concerning. Their customer service is excellent. An item was lost in the mail for over a month, and they replaced it. I recommend using your points towards their food products. They have always arrived within days of ordering. **Developer response:** Just open the app, and from the home page, click on the Blue "?" in the upper right corner of the home screen. One of our live buffs will be happy to assist! 💙💙💙 ### 2/5 — Can’t Connect and Limited Store *2021-08-10, version 1.0.0* The app as it is right now is okay. I get a ton of Can’t Connect notifications even though my internet is fine, and I’ll have to retry something three or more times for it to go through. Also, I thought the app would be Blue Buffalo’s version of a rewards program where I could buy my dog’s food straight from them for a competitive price and earn points for free food or coupons. But all the store has is a few welcome bundles I wouldn’t have any use for. ### 3/5 — Good app, but disappointed with reward system. *2023-04-15* I have switched my dogs’ food to Blue as I’ve been hearing nothing but good things. So, I have been buying their products for a few months and noticed that they do points and rewards - this brought me great joy. I saw that if I save up enough, I could potentially earn the 12 count cans of wet dog food. Over time, I kept buying and earning as much as I could. When I had enough, I saw that they sold out and it was no biggie at the moment as I understand that many other pet owners are depending on that reward. Then I saw that it was still sold out for 3+ weeks. I was kinda bummed out that there was no restock anytime soon, so I thought that maybe I’ll just look again next time or later on. Just now, I saw that they completely removed the reward - I’m beyond disappointed. I have worked so hard with barely any money to purchase the best for my pups and to earn what I can to get to that 12 can of wet dog food reward. But no, it was almost for nothing and the rewards for the dogs seem to be a joke - the cats are getting better rewards! I’m struggling with a job and trying to pay off this medical bill that I can’t even afford, now I’m struggling to get the best dog food for my babies. Please do better guys. ### 3/5 — love the concept BUT *2022-12-20, version 1.9.4* My cat has severe food allergies. Blue Buffalo’s perfect skin & coat is the ONLY food I have found that I can give him without him getting sick/granulomas. As such, I have earned a lot of points through this program, but I cannot redeem them for anything my cat can have because NONE of the options are allergy friendly. & no offense, I don’t really want Blue Buffalo merchandise versus something practical my cat can enjoy (food, treats, etc). Blue Buffalo needs to offer allergy friendly options for our furry children to be able to enjoy through this program. I end up redeeming my points for my friends cats because otherwise they would just sit there. ### 3/5 — Terms and conditions: 7th amendment of the US *2022-11-20, version 1.9.0* So, when I was making an account for this app I decided to quickly scan through the terms and conditions and it said that if you agree with their terms and conditions you have to give up your 7th amendment rights to trial by jury (“eliminate your right to trial by jury, require you to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and not as a part of any case or a representative action…” in capital and bold). So, I decided not to sign up for it but the concept of it is interesting but I just wanted to put it out there for people who don’t read/scan the terms and conditions before signing up for something. ### 3/5 — Bags of Dog Food wouldn’t scan. *2022-11-09, version 1.8.0* My husband has been buying blue buffalo while I’ve been out of town this year and I decided to download the buddies app and mess around with it. Unfortunately, my husband threw away the QR codes for the 3 bags of food not knowing that’s what would be needed, so I thought that maybe I could scan the individual bags that were still in the garage, but I’m guessing it doesn’t work that way. We also had a box of dog treats that wouldn’t scan either. Not sure if it’s worth having the app? Stephanie ### 3/5 — Great way to get some free treats, but food sensitivities beware *2022-10-13, version 1.8.0* It’s fairly simple and not too much extra work to scan the QR codes, a nice way to get some free treats. One issue is the sneaky label and marketing about ingredients- it’s sad that people get tricked and their pets suffer. For example, the grain-free salmon biscuits are marketed as no “chicken (or outlet) meal by-products”, but this means there is still chicken in it. It’s a sneaky weird way to word things, in a “salmon” marketed product. My dog has a chicken sensitivity so I’m glad I slowed down to stop and realize it means there is still chicken, just not “by-products”. For owners who are looking for “not chicken” in general, they may go for this salmon one and can quickly read and make an error by misunderstanding the label. I don’t understand why companies do this?! Unfortunately we will probably stop buying blue so we don’t need to double and triple check for what feels like hidden chicken, just to ensure our pup is okay. There are so many options out there now so it’s just not worth buying from a company that isn’t crystal clear on their marketing to ensure these misunderstandings don’t happen. ### 3/5 — It’s a start! *2021-11-29, version 1.2.0* But this app still needs a lot of work. For example, it appears you can only shop for one kind of food? Am I missing something? My dog likes the food in the pink bag…small bites for adult dogs but I can’t find it. Also, what are the points for? Is there a way to redeem them for free food/treats/toys? If so, how? The app doesn’t explain this (or I’m missing it). I do love that I’m able to add info about my fur baby. As she gets older I notice she gets allergies at different times of year. Nice to add info about when I get her treatments so I don’t forget each year. Also going to add when she’s been groomed and by who, as this old lady forgets everything. If you add more features as stated above, this app will be pretty awesome. ### 3/5 — Cute idea, only chicken products *2021-11-25, version 1.2.0* I like the idea of the buddies app, and I was excited to be able to eventually redeem points for things for my dog. It’s appears right now that you can’t only redeem your points for chicken based foods. It’s a shame because my pup is allergic to chicken. Maybe in the future they’ll expand the kibbles flavors that can be received with points. ### 4/5 — Recently Buggy *2022-12-10, version 1.9.0* This app makes it so easy for our family to know what our puppies have been up to. We all have crazy schedules, so being able to open the app and know when they last were let out and fed is super helpful! We have been having some issues recently with the app being a bit buggy. Restarting my phone worked the first time, but hasn’t since then. Just keep getting an error message, and I can’t find anything about scheduled maintenance, so I’m not sure what’s going on. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Blue Buffalo food *2023-11-29* I have feeding my dogs 🌈 and present dry either bb chicken and brown rice or wilderness chicken plus the treats biscuit or moist training treats but no pork. They eat like me since I have food allergies and it shows all round (my golden retriever boys and female boxer🌈🌈🌈) and it’s my rescued yellow Labrador retriever boy now because he’s a sensitive stomach plus he gets added natural food like peas and carrots and green beans and bananas and blueberries and strawberries slices added with a splash of pumpkin purée. Love getting rewards for products since I am a Buddy program and my boy is named Boomer.👋🦮🥰 ### 5/5 — Great App! *2023-10-28* I’ve used Blue Buffalo exclusively for the past 10-12 years. All of my dogs did really well on it. (3 prior to the 2 I have now). I had always wondered what the little ‘card’ was that came in the bags until one day I actually took the time to find out! The Buddies app is great! There is lots of pet parent stuff to learn about, a great community space, as well as rewards to be earned that can be redeemed for Blue Buffalo treats, food, toys, etc. it’s an easy to use app and I’ve had no issues with it at all. ### 5/5 — My dogs love the blue puppy food! *2023-10-23* I had fed Eukunuba for fifteen years or more. I have tried to change due to the cost keeps going up. But my spoilt little furbabies would had bad poo, or refused to eat anything else. About a month ago a friend showed me a bag she had just purchased . Loved the list of ingredients, so I bought some it was a hit!!! My babies love it. No rooting around in bowl dumping half out to find a piece they will eat, they eat every piece of blue dry puppy food, no bad poo’s, love the price. I would highly recommend this app!!! ### 5/5 — Only Brand I Trust When It Comes To Dog Food *2023-04-28* I’ve been buying Blue Wilderness since my GSD was a puppy. I can tell the quality of the food when I see how shiny his coat is, when compared to owners who use the “40$ for 50lbs of dog food” brands, or even his lack of illness. I’m a firm believer that if you start from feeding your dog right, you can likely save a lot more money if a health concern came up from buying inexpensive and paying it to a vet. I saved to be able to afford a dog that I can feed this to and have never regretted it. Their rewards system is the best, HANDS DOWN. To get him treats for just buying great-quality food is a win-win-win. Thanks Blue Wilderness! ### 5/5 — Suzie puppy *2023-03-18* I’m an older person. When I had children I had boxers, in fact the last one I had, lived to be 22 years old and raised my last child. Princess was family a very loved pet, that returned all the love and patience any one could want, more than was ever expected. Haven’t had a pet since we buried her. I live on the farm, where I was born and Princess is buried here too. This child she raised is the reason I have Suzie one+ years old, been mistreated and was never trained to do anything , a real hand full, but loves to be loved, we are doing much better, she has been with me almost 4 months, we had trouble finding a dog food she would eat, someone recommended Blue and that was the answer, loves the treats. Blue was a big deal at our house. The child that Princess raised is, now 46 years old , late child in life, but Princess raised a wonderful young woman, a blessing in many lives. Suzie is developing her own live style ,with my help, but she is very lovable. I left behind the cheap big bags of food got the blue buffalo started feeding them better their coat started getting shinier they had more energy. It’s the best product that I found aside from when I actually chop up vegetables and fruit for them to eat, keep up the good work with buddies I think it’s a fantastic way to keep clientele and thank them for being loyal.
