## Most critical reviews (5 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not really shared.

*2022-02-01, version 2.5*

You have to use the same login for different users (so ONE user) and all devices want you to pay separately. Account started on one device, logged in on another and still require me to pay.

So if your definition of “shared” is using the same email and password for different people and paying separately for all devices then this is for you!

### 3/5 — Almost Perfect

*2023-01-14, version 3.01*

I love this app so much. But for some reason the “reset spending” button doesn’t work for me so I have to manually re add the envelopes each month. Such a bummer because it’s otherwise perfect.

### 3/5 — One major flaw.

*2021-07-04, version 2.5*

I like how simple it is. I like how you only see the categories you create. I like how easy it is to enter expenses and see your balances left in each category. The problem is you can’t tell the app that your month is over and that the remaining balance needs to be added to the monthly budget amount. So if you have $1000 grocery budget for the month and you spend $800 in a month when you start a new month your beginning grocery balance should be $1200. The app does roll over unused money but for some strange reason it puts it in a generic rollover category. Fix the issue of running balances and deposits over a fixed period of time like bi- monthly Or monthly and it would be worth paying for. Sadly I will cancel my subscription until this feature is added.

### 4/5 — early days, but happy so far.

*2024-05-20, version 3.01*

Having tried approximately 13,000 budgeting apps I figured I should add a review for this one since it hopefully will be my go-to moving forward. My requirements were simple: no snooping into my data, envelope method of budgeting, sync across iCloud accounts for family coordination. Amazing how rare that combo is to find, and some competitor apps seemed fine at first and then got flaky. I'm still in the free trial period for this but it seems good so far. The syncing wasn't working early on but now seems fine. Everything is simple, well laid out, and seems to fit the bill (no pun intended). Big fonts and grids for the budgets weren't initially to my taste but now I'm liking them more for visual simplicity. Be advised the Mac app is simply the iPhone version (and size) on MacOS, but that is OK with me. Developer: if you would consider adding a widget for quick entry that would really be ace. That plus continued sync reliability would make this five stars in my book.

### 5/5 — EXACTLY what I was looking for!

*2021-03-16, version 2.5*

I wanted a simple budgeting app that would allow me to enter my budgets then manually enter my purchases. This is exactly what I needed and so easy to use.
