I called to extend my rental because. Family and I was told that I had to pay a rate $150 higher than a normal weekly rate because it was an extension they’re going to make me drive to the airport while my dad is actively dying to change the car and not pay the extra money. Such a ridiculous policy and feels Like price gauging. The insides have been disgusting many times. I have to clean them myself and that is frequently unexpected use of my time. It insists that you have to use the drop down for state or province but won’t give you any options. And because you can’t fill it in, you get an error when you try to submit. Pro Tip: credit card processors only care about the zip. So I chose USA and Virginia but put in my Virgin Islands zip and it went right through. Sheeesh. Make info fields mandatory that don’t even matter. ### 1/5 — Do NOT prepay *2026-08-22, version 15.10* Do not prepay if you might have to cancel, fees are highway robbery! ### 1/5 — Biggest PoS app that I’ve had to use in a long time. *2026-08-22, version 15.10* This app and the whole Budget online rental experience has been frustrating and complete waste of time. I hated every minute of it. From the account creation all the way to “something’s gone wrong” when trying to pay and reserve my car. If there was another option to rent a car from anywhere else I would have gladly waited in line than used this PoS app again. ### 1/5 — Terrible app and company *2026-08-21, version 15.10* Beware of lies and document all correspondence or this company will nickel and dime you for everything. Never renting with these liars again. Stay away.
