I’ve been using this for just a few weeks so far. It’s a clean looking app and well designed. Here are my two larger critiques.

1.  For individual transactions, have the title be the payee instead of the category or the note.

2. The app doesn’t need to create an “account” for a new payee. This gets to be redundant, and omitting this could lighten the software a lot. The last budget tracking app I used just remembered previous payees from previous transactions & that was it. It would be a lot cleaner & quicker to enter new transactions this way. 

Thank you for your time developing this app. Two big reasons that I’m trying this out instead of so many others are that I don’t need to create an account somewhere to use this app, and the app doesn’t want/need access to my personal finance accounts. F that! I want to input everything manually so that an app doesn’t have access to any of my accounts.

I have been using this app to track the tips I've made. The easier way is to open my Apple Watch and register the amount. However... I needed to track the person who took the payment and the till. One way to do it would be with tags, but I cannot add them from the Apple Watch. So I thought about. Using different categories and I could put an emoji that looks like the person who took the payment but I can only access the yellow face emojis, so when I am in a hurry, it's a bit to read all names there are at least 10 people and three different tills.

I didn’t always keep up with tracking my expenses before but BudgetFlow makes it easier. Someone else said that in a review and I’m nodding my head in agreement. Tracking my expenses, balancing my bank accounts, and sticking to a budget make me finally feel like an adult, and I’m 58. Don’t judge.

Seriously though, my financial situations - and how I handle my finances - are changing now at my age but BudgetFlow can keep up.

You can tell when someone is a perfectionist and Fabian Hasse is that person. He put a lot of love and care into this app and it shows. I wish more people did the same.

BudgetFlow is not basic - but it doesn’t feature unnecessary functions you’ll never use. It’s not a cute app. It’s a functional app that isn’t intended to entertain but to help you get your money stuff done quickly and efficiently.

The Idea of this Apps is great but limited, It has its own advantages but limited to others but I chose to stay in this app because of multi accounts, Categories capabilities. 

the only I am looking for right now that it doesn’t have is creating a file of maybe a report you can share for someone or your financial adviser to share through pdf or something.

and also the recurring expenses or liability, it will show to the line graph where you could see where it drops down because of the recurring expenses you have but it never tells you what it is, so you have to go back to settings and then find it manually. 

and also this app will be unstoppable if adding a calendar ways of seeing when you are going to be broke because of recurring expenses you have to one of your accounts. 

for a person like me with 5 diferent accounts it will be very helpful and gets your net worth straight away. Collaborations so for now it is 4.0 stars for me so far I CAN HANDLE IT

Got The Lifetime Because It’s Worth It. I love it 😍 I hope the developer continue to work on the app and continue to grow it for many years to come, but I think it is a great investment as you could track your income,see where your money is going or coming from , who pays you or who you pay etc. It’s very good in fact it’s one of the best app out there for in depth financial tracking while still being user friendly and I hope they continue to update in the future to stay one of the best in financial tracking, etc.

I’m unsure how I ever did my finances before this app.  The software makes it very quick for me to enter transactions and balance up my accounts.  When I had a strange issue, the developer was quick to answer and offered up a solution for us right away.  I wish all developers were like him.

App simples e bonito com opção de pagamento único (excelente), com apenas alguns pontos que precisam de melhoria: cartão de crédito precisa de período de fatura (com data de fechamento da fatura) e vencimento do cartão separados. Ainda é confuso separar o que é gasto de um mês e o que é de outro e quando cada fatura é efetivamente paga. Transferência internas precisam ser melhoradas e isoladas dos gráficos. Uma melhor organização em geral seria bom, (por ex. despesas recorrentes ficam escondidas nas configurações do app).

The app lets me track my expenses in a way that lets me know what I’m spending every day.  I’m not always disciplined about keeping up to date with my daily expenses but this is by far the best app to keep track if you’re willing to use it.

Hi Fabian, I'm currently experiencing a bug where my Transport category is completely missing on iOS: it doesn't appear when viewing past transactions or when entering a new expense. Everything looks correct on desktop, and syncing is working fine as other categories behave normally.

This has happened before with my Recurring Expenses category. The only fix I found was to create a duplicate category on iOS, migrate all transactions to it on desktop, then delete the original: a workaround I'd rather not repeat. I'd appreciate a looking into this. I have also checked I didn’t filter out the category by accident on iOS as well.

Update2: Developer never responded to either of my two emails. What a waste of money. 

Update: response to dev- I have a better idea, respond to my other emails that I already sent. I don't subscribe to the idea of only helping people that post negative reviews, it's a cop out and deceiving. 

Original: I would give it 3 stars but I reached out to the developer and never got a response. I paid for the app and still cannot get a reply, poor support.

Multiple sync issues over the course of the year that I have used this app. Each time I have reached out to the developer multiple times and each time I have had to find a way to solve my own problem. Unfortunately, this time it doesn’t seem I will be able to fix it. The app is great when it works, unfortunately that isn’t 100% of the time and support is lacking in my experience.

I was loving this application. It doesn’t have all the features but it’s enough. Was tired of manually updating my books via Numbers. This app was betrayed me in the ultimate way. I wanted to start 2026 off tracking all my books. This app allowed me to track multiple books, however today, my transactions are GONE! I tried to restore the backup, it only restored some transactions. I see Jan 5 and I see Jan 30, but many many missing transactions in between. This ruins everything I have worked on the last 30 days, and it’s not easy going backward to locate all these transactions. Thanks a lot for absolutely nothing.

thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m really sorry to hear that it looks like some of your data is missing, and I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after putting so much effort into tracking your expenses at the beginning of the year.

I’m not sure if you saw it yet, but I already replied to your email a few days ago. Based on what you described, your data is very likely not permanently deleted, as there were no changes to the data model in recent updates. This points more toward an iCloud sync conflict that can occur during a restore, where only part of the data becomes visible.

In most cases, this can be resolved by restoring the backup with iCloud temporarily disabled and then re-enabling sync once everything looks correct. I’ve sent you detailed step-by-step instructions by email to guide you through this safely.

I completely understand how discouraging it feels to think that 30 days of work are gone as that is absolutely not the experience I want anyone to have with the app. I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help until we get this fully sorted out.

1. The $50 price tag is unjustified, as is the subscription—it's ridiculous to pay for a subscription for this app.
2. The app has extremely limited functionality, and what it does have is very strange—for example, I have to manually create folders for categories.
3. Bugs...just open the category settings to see that the app has both visual and functional bugs. Example: I open the category settings, where the outline of the input has problems on the x-axis. At the same time, after typing in a search query, I could no longer close the app.

After changing the default currency of the budget book, all records were corrupted because of the currency change. The backup point is useless, as it was automatically replaced by the iCloud backup. I am going to leave the app.

Many little issues and bugs making this app not ready for prime time. Analytics are pointless in many occasions. Time periods are showing wrong data or not data at all. Both cases are very misleading and making this app useless. Not to mention awkward navigation especially when using Mac version. A lot to be desired and fixed before this app is capable of doing what is made for. Paid full version to support the developer. As a good one, focus on your bugs before adding new functionality.

I used to use a very basic budgeting app until I needed more features. I tried building my own spreadsheets, but found that too finicky. After reviewing and trying several envelope-style  budgeting apps, I chose Budget Flow for its powerful features, intuitive user interface, and seamless synchronization across all my Apple devices. (Note: I don’t need to directly download transactions from my bank. I use a separate business accounting app for that. )

iphoneのネイティブ機能の連携がスムーズではないが、日本でよく知られて使われているアプリたちにはそもそもない為、満足している。

最初、入力に時間がかかる印象だったが、ショートカットで簡単に入力できる。

買い切り版の値段はまぁまぁするが、お金の管理のために毎月サブスクすることに違和感を感じている人にとっては買い切りがあってありがたい。その値段に応える強力の機能が付いている。

お金の流れがわかりやすい。提供会社に依存しないでデータの所有ができる。
