Now, I changed my phone and I’ll lose all the information, which is really sad. Also, other apps offer templates that make it easier to create your budget and keep track of savings and assets. Sharon B ### 4/5 — Love it but have some things to add *2023-10-06* I love the app it’s easy to use and really easy to get the hang of it, this is my first time trying to budget and this app helps so much but I would like it if the app had a note pad or something like a note page as the app goes month by month a notes page to let me know how to divvy my checks up would be extremely helpful. ### 4/5 — Great app *2023-09-26* I love this app. I manage several companies and sometimes payments are made on my personal card so transaction based apps that connect to the bank account don’t work for me. This app is great. Very simple and easy to use. My only issues is that when you make a change in your preferences, like taking away a bill, it deletes all of the history. I would prefer if the changes were forward looking rather than deleting all the history. ### 4/5 — Good Start *2023-09-01* I’ve been using this app for almost a year and it works great! I like how simple and straightforward it is. There’s a few things that I would change, though. For one, I would like to see some sort of sign in/cloud/backup option. I moved to a new phone and lost all of my budget info. It might also be nice to manage the same budget across multiple devices. Also, you might add some contact info into the settings for reporting bugs and leaving a review. Otherwise, thank you for not tracking me and flooding it with ads 🙏 ### 4/5 — Great Free Tool, Could Improve *2023-08-07* I’m writing a review because I’ve used the app for a few months and have found it useful for reigning in the budget. It was a bit confusing to get started and some of the features are confusing, such as some of the reviews. My main concern is about saving budget info in the cloud, somehow. If there was a way to sign in and carry my information to a new device would be helpful. I am on a new device and can’t access my old data. Otherwise, this has really helped me. Then I gave this one a try and I absolutely love it. The combination of simplicity and customizable tools are perfect. It’s simple to get and I don’t have to put any personal information in it or anything like that. The only thing I would suggest is adding a way to make something recur more than once a month, such as for income having it be able to be bi weekly or even allow it to be bi weekly from a date you choose instead of just the middle and end of the month. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Problems with app *2022-03-20, version 1.4.0* This app. does not allow you to add anything, after information is entered it does not add to budget ### 2/5 — Works but no exporting or way to save data. Lost it all with phone restore. *2023-07-03* App works and is simple but no way to save the data. Restored my phone because of other issues and now all my months of budgeting record is gone with no way to get it back. ### 3/5 — 3 Stars *2024-10-03* The app is okay. This is helpful for balances like loans and credit card or just item we might owe on. ### 3/5 — Great app but lack features. *2022-01-10, version 1.4.0* The only issue with the app is that all inputs are for all months and years. Let's say your debt decreased by $500. When you change that input in the app, it will change for every month. So if you try to see data and compare data from one month to another, you won't be able to get that. I like to compare my previous month or the one before that one when I'm explaining the break down of my finances to others. I'd love to recommend this app, but not with that lack. Make input data for a month to be changeable from another month, so we can do comparisons and see how we've been doing during the months. If you sell this app, I'd like to know it. ### 4/5 — Great simple app *2024-11-07* I was looking for a good budgeting app for a while, but never really liked the ones that connect to your bank account and put in transactions for you. This one I’ve been using for over a year, it is super simple and anyone could figure out how to use it. Entering each transaction myself gives me a sense of accountability, and I like being able to easily see how much spending money I actually have vs what’s in my bank account. Other apps will let you add a few categories of your own and then make you pay for more. I very much appreciate that there are no ads and I don’t have to pay for anything extra. The only thing I wish this app had was the ability to look at all of your “transactions” that have been entered for the month in a chronological list all together similar to how you would look at your recent transactions on your banking app. But I have a weird way of doing things and it’s not a completely necessary addition. Either way, I will continue to use this app daily for my budgeting! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Tried a dozen budgeting apps and this was the winner *2024-08-07* I’m typically very anti-subscription so a good majority of the apps were ruled out on principle. Setting up a budget is tedious, but this app made it really straight forward, set up a series of envelopes once, and when putting in transactions click on the appropriate envelope and charge the amount. It perfect!! I had been doing it on paper so the automation is exactly what I needed. I really liked that there was no paywall to use basic features (like like litmiting the number of transactions or envelopes) as it makes it impossible to judge if it worth it after a 3 day trial budgeting takes time. The only thing missing is that it not saved to icloud. Which is a feature that is very important and I hope will get added soon! ### 5/5 — Awesome app; could use more features *2023-10-14* The good news is that the basics are there. No payments required. I like being able to easily add transactions to a category and create new categories. Being able to split the income is nice, without having to pay extra. The categories are very customizable. Some downsides, it’s not very feature rich. This can be nice for making a less confusing interface. However, the settings icon was a little confusing that was how to configure the categories. Once I got the hang of navigating, it was easy to setup and track multiple things. There’s no way to see trends right now either. Maybe something hidden behind a menu, it would be nice to see how much I’ve payed in a certain category over previous months. I think this could be especially useful when trying to value a budget by comparing the costs over previous months. A few features I’d like to see: a color chooser, so I’m not stuck to six colors; a way to export my data so I can look at trends in excel; and each category should have a different budget each month, but roll over the value from the previous month. ### 5/5 — Practical Concise Budget Application *2023-07-21* Budget is a very basic, practical home budget application. Exceptionally easy to use. Very legible with a very uncluttered and exceptionally legible display. Incredibly there are no advertisements, and the app is free.
