I’m not forced to begin on any specific date. (If I’m paid on October 31, it can still be November’s paycheck, so on and so forth.) The flexibility of this app makes it so worth it, and I know where every dollar goes. ### 5/5 — Best Budgeting App Ever *2025-12-10* This app is perfect for anyone wanting to keep a budget. It’s well designed and easy to use adapts to anyone’s finances. I can easily see exactly how much I’m spending in each category and whether I’m staying on budget or going over. This is substantially better is so many small ways, it’s hard to believe it’s free. In fact, I like using it so much that I paid for the Pro version just to support the developer. I’m incredibly happy that I found this app. It’s everything that I wanted. And the one time purchase of $7 CAD looks to be a great way to tip the developer after I try this app out for a little bit and see what I think. But from first impressions, I really like it. I found setting up my budget with this app easier than YNAB. I used to use Notion with a custom template, but have been put off by the shift towards AI… I’ve been a loyal used since high school (2019?) and finally had enough. Someone in a random thread mentioned this single-developer, passion project: Budgetum. It genuinely has changed the game for me. I tried using other apps between Notion and Budgetum, and they all had too many ads, or nagged me to use their AI features, or were basically useless without a subscription. Budgetum provides a solid user experience with a deep care for and attention to what a budgeting app is meant to be. Simple, sleek, and effective.
