The old one was very quick and easy to navigate and the new one is just slight more tedious to do so. ### 4/5 — Great app. Needs a few more features. *2025-03-31, version 6.0.2* This is a fantastic app, but if there were just a few more features I think it’d be greatly improved. For a yearly fee of $25 I should have access to analytics within the app at a minimum. If not analytics then at least allow me to expand categories within the monthly breakdown to see the individual transactions. Navigating to other days is a very awkward experience as well. A calendar view would be an excellent feature to mitigate the awkward scrolling. Finally, if I set a savings amount, I expect to see that taken out of my “Left” number on the month tab. It’s reflected in the daily budgets but it is not taken into account for the monthly “Left” number. ### 4/5 — La mejor app de control de gastos *2024-05-16, version 6.0.2* La uso hace 2017 y nunca mas la cambie, rápida carga de gastos, excelente la ponderación de los días y el cambio dinámico de presupuesto diario según lo que se va gastando , se puede exportar a excel muy facil. Solo faltaría colocar a que año pertenecen los periodos anteriores para poder ver un historial de forma simple. ### 2/5 — Should allow try before you buy *2021-02-07, version 5.0* I’m fine with the Spartan interface and entering all my data myself but i shouldn’t really have to spend all my time trying to figure out how to make it work. Budgeting apps are so fairly simple but this is so simple I felt a little underwhelmed. I kept tapping around trying to make stuff I entered match categories and I couldn’t figure out how to change dates on stuff I did yesterday, etc. Also it’s kind of ugly. I’m requesting a refund. ### 4/5 — Simple and effective BUT isn’t backed up! *2020-10-23, version 5.0* This is exactly what I needed until I switched phones. Your data isn’t backed up and I have to start from scratch again - with no record of past expenses. Developer, please enable iCloud backup OR sign in using Google/Apple so I can keep my historic data! ### 4/5 — Great app *2020-03-01, version 5.0* Love this app. Helps me keep track of daily and monthly expenses without having to provide sensitive financial information. My suggestions for improvement: I wish I could write notes on each entry besides just category, so it’s easier to remember later what the purchase was for. I wish I could edit info for prior months, even once that month passes (I currently can’t). ### 5/5 — Best Simple Budget App *2020-02-04, version 5.0* I have been using this app for YEARS! It is the simplicity that I admire most. The app does what you want it to and not much more. This is the appeal for me. I would say it is definitely worth the money. If you are TRAVELING this app is a must to track ALL trip expenses. Good job to the developer for keeping it the same over the years yet up to date! Simple, rapide et efficace. ### 4/5 — Great app but missing some things *2019-07-21, version 4.1* Would it be possible to make it so that when I look at my overview of my month's spending, I can click on a category and see a single dated list of all of the times i spent money in that category (including the ability to click on each recorded spending so I can see my notes)? Would like to be able to review when/what I spent money on in given categories more easily. Would be more helpful in finding ways to cut back. Also, would be great to be able to set limits for each category each month - ie limit myself to spending $500 on groceries so I can see how much I go over or under and re-adjust accordingly. ### 5/5 — Gr8 *2018-03-17, version 4.1* Have been using this just to keep a track of income and outgoings. You can either have it do month by month or have it continually roll over. 2 areas of improvement are: 1. The ability to enter desired savings in a dollar value instead of percent. I know this is small but if I wanted to save $400 a month there is now way to enter 400. You choose a percent and hope it’s close enough and if you add extra income the percent recalculates. It would be nice to do either percent or dollars 2. The ability to export data is great but the format of the export is a little too formatted. I use the export and load it into Power BI and built some dashboards over it. The problem is the exported CSV is not just a flat file. It’s formatted into sections which BI tools don’t like. It would be nice to choose just a flat file export. To finish in something positive. This app is incredible. If you’re the person like me where adding bank account info is too much this app is nearly perfect. ### 5/5 — Easy! *2017-08-20, version 4.1* Great way to keep track of personal expenses. Asked Claude to generate an app similar to this and it did in 1 hour or so. Pathetic **Developer response:** Hi bigchickenwings profusely apologise for your experience - we do not claim to be free and have not been free for over 4 years as it does cost money to sustain an app, community and support. Very happy that you found an alternative for yourself and truly hope that it works for you. Best, Sebastian ### 1/5 — Greed kills *2025-05-20, version 6.0.2* I bought this app once a long time ago, and I loved it. It had full functionality. Then many years later on a new Apple account I re-downloaded it and purchased it again for I think $6.99. And I haven’t touched it for like two or three years. And now when I open up the app to try to get back into budgeting my money properly, it’s saying that I need to subscribe and there’s no way to like buy it once and have it for good. For that reason, I am deleting the app and I am not supporting this Developer. Your greed has turned me away. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2019-10-01, version 4.1* Not intuitive at all. You're basically told to enter your "expeses" (sic) and income. Doesn't say how. There's no obvious way to group expenses into categories; I found you have to enter the expense and then create/choose your pre-created category for it. This was after I wasted time pre-entering a list of budgeted expenses. Now, after entering an expense, it says I am $33.00 in the hole, and there's no obvious way to enter income to actually make this a functional app. Tapping on or around anything related to expenses does nothing. Glad I got this app for free since I've lost my patience. The developers must have no interest in this, as it is in version 4 and still has an obvious misspelling. The photos in the App Store don't even match the app's screens. If the developers don't care, then I don't, either. Deleted. ### 1/5 — Lost all settings with iOS upgrade *2015-01-06* ... Which should be fixed easily. It makes budgeting as easy as possible and I truly have stuck with using it for five years. It’s as simple as it can be while very insightful. I find that once a quarter I export the monthly data and make analysis in excel. It couldn’t be easier.
