## What is BudJet?

BudJet makes everyday expense tracking faster, clearer, and easier to share.

SCAN RECEIPTS IN SECONDS
Capture a paper receipt or choose one from your photo library. BudJet extracts the merchant, date, total, and line items so you can review the details before saving. If an online scan is unavailable, you can continue with on-device text recognition.

SEE WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
Your dashboard turns saved expenses into useful monthly totals, category breakdowns, merchant insights, and spending trends. Set a monthly budget and see your progress at a glance.

KEEP EXPENSES ORGANIZED
Add expenses manually, edit scanned receipts, attach categories, record notes, and work with multiple currencies. Search and review your history whenever you need it.

BUDGET TOGETHER
Create a household for shared expenses, invite other BudJet users, and switch between personal and household views. Roles and membership controls help keep shared budgets organized.

BUILT WITH PRIVACY IN MIND
BudJet does not sell your personal information and does not use your financial data for advertising. Camera and photo access are requested only when you choose to scan a receipt. Account deletion is available directly in Settings.

BudJet is free to get started. No bank connection is required.

BUDJET PREMIUM
BudJet Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription, billed monthly or yearly. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible accounts. Premium unlocks advanced reports with CSV export, your full spending history, unlimited custom categories, unlimited AI receipt scans and households with more than two people. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-27

BudJet now goes by BudJet: Receipt Scanner on the App Store. Small improvements and fixes.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-26

New in BudJet 1.2:

• Reports: savings rate, a financial health score, budgets by category, category changes, spending by weekday and projections, with CSV export (Premium).
• Categories: create, group and budget your own categories from Settings. The Free plan includes 5 of your own.
• The Free plan shows this month and the 6 before it; Premium shows your full history. Older receipts are always kept.
• A yearly Premium plan, with a 7-day free trial for eligible accounts.
• Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen show this month's spending against your budget.
• Siri and Shortcuts: add an expense or ask for this month's spending.
• Optional budget alerts at 80% and 100% of your budget, and a weekly summary (Settings → Notifications).

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-26

BudJet now supports Ukrainian, French, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese and Croatian.

• Localized screens and permission prompts, with date, amount and plural formatting adapted to each language.
• An invitation to rate BudJet may appear after receipts are saved successfully.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-09

This update improves budget editing and keeps your Dashboard in sync.

• Budget amounts respect your number format and preserve edits during refreshes.
• Dashboard totals stay aligned with the selected account, household, month and currency.
• Failed Dashboard loads are easier to retry, and older requests cannot replace newer results.
• Exchange rates refresh regularly, with safer handling of invalid or missing rates.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-21

This update fixes an issue that could prevent scanned receipts from saving to a household budget.

- Receipt scans and category pickers now use categories available for the selected budget.
- Scanned receipts keep the correct budget and categories when you switch households during a scan.
- Unavailable category suggestions can be reviewed and corrected before saving.
