## What is Budli?

Meet your Budli - a tiny pet that thrives when you stay off the apps that eat your day. Less doomscrolling, more life. No white-knuckle willpower required.
WHY CARE WORKS WHEN GUILT DOESN'T
Most blockers say "stop" - but your phone is right there, and one tap later you're back. Budli gives you a reason instead: a little creature that grows on the time you win back. You're not breaking a rule, you're looking after someone. That tiny shift is what makes it stick.
HOW IT WORKS
- Pick your trap apps - the ones you open without thinking
- Stay under your daily limit and your Budli grows, evolves, and cheers you on
- Go over and you lose XP - the next evolution stalls until you're back under
- Open a trap app anyway and your Budli steps in with a soft "are you sure?" - a pause, not a wall of shame
WHAT'S INSIDE
- Real app blocking, built on Apple Screen Time - not another reminder you swipe away
- One pet, seven forms - it evolves on the hours you win back, and stalls when the scroll wins
- Deep Focus sessions for when you need to be unreachable
- Honest stats that show where your hours really go - judged by no one
- Tiny daily rituals - stretch, sunlight, a mindful break - for you and your pet
- Emergency passes, because some days life actually needs your phone
MADE FOR DISTRACTIBLE BRAINS
If you've ever tapped "15 more minutes" and meant it every single time, Budli was built for you. Gentle structure, visible progress, zero shame - friendly to ADHD brains and anyone whose thumb has a mind of its own.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your Screen Time data never leaves your device. No accounts, no tracking, no selling your attention back to you.
What would you do with two extra hours a day? Your Budli can't wait to find out.
BUDLI PLUS
Budli requires a subscription, with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings - no hoops, no dark patterns.

### 5/5 — Awesome app, actually made me put down my phone

*2026-08-17*

Gave this a week after ignoring every other blocker. It’s working. I really like the concept and it’s fun to see actual progress when staying off the apps

## Version history (last 5 releases)

Polish and small fixes

Mostly under the hood this time - smoother screens, a few rough edges sanded down, and groundwork for what's coming next.

### 1.3.7 — 2026-08-28

Mostly under the hood this time - smoother screens, a few rough edges sanded down, and groundwork for what's coming next.

### 1.3.6 — 2026-08-24

Polish and small fixes

Mostly under the hood this time - smoother screens, a few rough edges sanded down, and groundwork for what's coming next.

### 1.3.5 — 2026-08-18

Budli now speaks your language

For the first time the app itself is translated, not just the App Store page. German, Spanish, French, Japanese and Korean now cover every screen: your pet, your limits, your stats, and the gentle stop your Budli puts up when you open a trap app.

Also fixed
- The total on your daily summary now matches the entries listed above it
- The XP label on the progress bar no longer gets clipped
- The Blocking tab no longer says you have no apps selected while the card above it says you do

### 1.3.4 — 2026-08-12

Localization

Budli's App Store listing is now available in 11 more languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese and Arabic.

The app itself is unchanged in this update. Your pet, your limits and your blocking rules all work exactly as before, and the in-app text is still English for now.
