Can’t get past the phone or email page. This needs to be fixed. ### 1/5 — Unable to use *2025-01-22, version 3.0.1* Says network error, unable to use their pay machine it’s frozen. It’s a shame that they’re even charging for a hospital ### 3/5 — App works well enough, but why is there no zone map? *2024-08-07, version 3.0.1* As the title says, then using an app for a couple years now and it’s frustrating that on the website nor in the app, can you just find a map of all the zone numbers. I don’t understand why this isn’t something that’s available already when clearly the numbers are already known and the where they’re located is also already known ### 1/5 — $10!!!! *2024-07-25, version 3.0.1* Booo awful. $10 just to park. But for tourism. No one wants to pay $10 for street parking when it’s supposed to be $1 an hour. Tried troubleshooting everything customer support told me to do, including just paying at the physical meter (which in Buffalo are very often broken or non existent). Eventually was told to just use the website version instead? Thankfully I haven’t received a citation. Works fine on a google phone with the very same info. Fix the iPhone version! ### 1/5 — This app is a rip off if you don’t live in Buffalo *2024-06-01, version 3.0.1* This app is a rip off if you don’t live in Buffalo. You have to put a minimum of 10 dollars onto your account at a time even though you probably won’t be spending that much on a single parking session. They charge a 10 cent convenience fee on all transactions which isn’t a lot BUT it makes it so you have to reload your account if you plan on using their service again. ### 2/5 — Hasn’t taken card payments in probably a year *2024-02-28, version 3.0.1* The app previously worked fine, but the app hasn’t accepted my card payments in probably close to a year. Every card is declined no matter what. Re-added cards, deleted and redownloaded the app, nothing has fixed it. ### 1/5 — No longer works *2024-01-25, version 3.0.1* The app just doesn’t work anymore. It doesn’t recognize money in my wallet, and it says payment failed no matter which credit or debit card info I put in. The problem continued even after deleting, redownloading the app, and resetting my pin. I hope I can get out. ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2023-10-04, version 3.0.1* This app is SO frustrating. It keeps crashing. It will not allow a credit card to be saved. Yes - I had to keep trying different cards in the middle of the street in downtown Buffalo!! I just loved having to pull credit cards out in plain view because it kept rejecting card after card. (That’s sarcasm!) Error after error was what I was getting. I finally got something to work. I was 1/2 way back to my car to use cash instead. That’s probably what I will do from this point forward. It just made me feel unsafe. ### 2/5 — Payment failures *2023-06-20, version 3.0.1* I can’t pay for parking with M&T bank debit cards. I get error of “payment failure” even though it’s accurate data… not sure if it’s just M&t or others but that’s all I have it’s not a one time occurrence and has happened before when trying to take family to a nice restaurant and couldn’t pay for parking. Embarrassing…. Developers need to look into it. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-04-11, version 3.0.1* Just gives me a lovely pulsing Buffalo head logo. Very nice but I actually need to use it to pay to park; you know it’s only job. ### 1/5 — No parking zone information! *2023-03-09, version 3.0.1* A parking app that doesn’t tell you which zone you are in. So in Buffalo winter you need to walk around to find a pole with a Zone marker. Can’t they use the phone GPS? Can’t they have a map in the app so you can see the zones (and cost’s because it varies) One pole next to me now has a green parking sign with a 10 in the corner. Below it on the sale pole there is a Buffalo Roam sign saying Zone 16. In the adjacent street there are only the green signs with a 10. I paid for zone 10 last week now I think I’m lucky it’s winter and no parking attendants are checking parking! ### 4/5 — Very buggy *2023-02-16, version 3.0.1* There hasn’t been an update in quite some time and the app works 50% of the time. You stand there on the street and nothing works. I don’t know how this joke of an app was selected to service a city. Won’t work. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App not working, no one to call! *2026-06-23, version 9.8.0* So I have had the Buffalo Rome App for years now. I was an active participant on the App. Now I’m trying to use it and it keeps saying I need an update but it won’t let me update it. It takes me to my wallet and then says I need to update my back card and then it won’t let me do anything from there?!! Annoying. I’ve tried several times in the past week to fix it but it won’t let me!!! ### 1/5 — Absolutely ridiculous *2026-05-11, version 9.8.0* The parking app requires a minimum $10 balance and only allows reloading in $10.00 increments, even when the actual parking fee is as low as $2.00. In addition, extensions are limited to 15 minutes per transaction, with a $0.35 convenience fee applied to $0.50 for each 15-minute extension. As a result, each 15‑minute extension costs $0.85, which is excessive. This appears to be a recent policy change and is quite frustrating. Previously in 2024, the app allowed 30‑minute extensions with only a $0.10 initial transaction fee and no additional convenience fees for each extension. ### 1/5 — $10 Card Minimum *2026-04-02, version 9.8.0* This should be illegal. ### 1/5 — Stealing money *2026-03-03, version 9.6.2* You have to preload the account with $10. Help. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2025-11-14, version 9.6.2* This app is always buggy. Can’t delete old wallets and almost impossible to switch wallets. Been stuck with one wallet with a few dollars on it for years. Nothing you can do as most spaces you can only pay by this app so you are stuck. Only parking app that does that, and I have quite a few installed. Why can’t I just pay for the time I use?
