## What is Buffed?

Buffed removes hidden metadata from your photos and videos before you share them: instantly, privately, and entirely on your device.

Every photo you take is embedded with data you probably didn't know was there: your exact GPS coordinates, the make and model of your camera, the date and time the shot was taken, your device serial number, and more. Buffed strips all of it in seconds.

WHAT GETS REMOVED
• GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude)
• Camera make, model, and lens information
• Timestamps: date taken, modified, and digitized
• Device identifiers and serial numbers
• Author name and copyright strings
• Software version and processing settings
• Exposure, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed
• Color profile and orientation tags
• Video encoder, creation date, and location tags

HOW IT WORKS
Select photos or videos from your library or Files app. Buffed processes each file to remove all metadata. Images are re-encoded through Apple's imaging pipeline; videos are remuxed with metadata tracks cleared. The clean file is saved back to your Photos library or exported wherever you choose. That's it.

COMPLETELY PRIVATE
Buffed processes everything locally on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks. There are no servers, no uploads, no analytics, no SDKs, and no internet connection required ever. We don't know who you are, what files you process, or even that you opened the app.
