One of my favorite. I also have an Idea: *2025-12-07, version 20.0* Proposal: Transform Buffer into a full mobile dev environment with minimal integrations Buffer already solves the hardest part of mobile developer tooling: providing a performant, scriptable environment with reliable text input and persistent context on iOS. Two lightweight integrations would push it from “mobile productivity” into “mobile coding stack” territory: 1. ISH / local Linux shell integration Interactive terminal access enables local scripts, package managers, and workflows to run directly on-device. This replaces cloud-dependent workflows and unlocks offline development. 2. GitHub chat / workflow sync Inline commit messages, branch visibility, and PR discussion make it possible to manage repo work end-to-end without leaving the app. With these two endpoints, Buffer becomes effectively a mobile VS Code equivalent, without building a full IDE. You’d define a new category: “mobile-first dev ops interface” instead of mobile markdown. If this direction interests you, I’d be glad to outline a minimal technical spec and UX flow that keeps the implementation constrained. ### 3/5 — This app is crashing a LOT *2025-10-19, version 10.0.4* 2025-10-19 I have been using this app for years and it has been crashing a LOT over the past few months on my M1 iPad Pro. IF the app has focus it works. If it loses focus (CMD+TAB to another app or other switch) it will randomly crash. Unsure if the developer is still supporting this but it would be nice to get an update to fix this problem. ### 2/5 — Keeps Crashing *2025-10-15* I want to like this, but when I switch to a different window it freezes, becomes unresponsive, and eventually crashes. Please contact us: support@blakzero.com ### 3/5 — Should be better than textastic *2025-03-09, version 10.0.4* I can only give 3 cause the interface has so much glitches and is so ugly ### 5/5 — Simplement sublime :) *2024-12-17* J’avais tous d’abord téléchargée l’app pour pouvoir me connecter via ssh à mon "raspberry pi", sans même utiliser ça fonction principale, aujourd’hui… Aujourd’hui j’étudie la programmation js css html, et je suis grave content d’avoir payé buffer editor, maintenant que je sais coder je peux utiliser son plein potentiel, comme par exemple si j’ai pas mon ordi ou accès a un pour x raison, je pourrais me connecter en ssh sur mon "raspberry pi" ou tout autre machine, et coder directement sur ma page web et voir le résultat, ou même lancer avec 'node.js', pour faire des test avec des petits scripts, Maintenant cotée éditeur, et bien je le trouve complet, je trouve que la barre au dessus du clavier est bien pensée comme par exemple la touche tab et bien a gauche et il suffit d’un appuie pour que cela prenne effet, cela rend l’immersion dans le développement bien naturel, comme sur ordinateur, puis la barre n’est ni trop grosse ni trop petite, le juste milieu pour s’y retrouver et tous y est, rarement besoin de faire afficher les caractère du propre clavier du téléphone. Enfin bref ce n’est que m’on humble avis. ### 1/5 — Wrong time to ask for a review *2024-11-11, version 10.0.4* I’ve been struggling with all sorts of crashes and hangups for the few hours I’ve been using this app. The only reason I’ve stuck with it is I can’t find another iOS app that lets me edit files on a remote machine without having to maintain local copies. The app had just frozen while I was browsing a remote machine for the third time, and the app stayed frozen for a bit even after I closed and reopened it. As soon it managed to unfreeze itself, I got a popup asking for a rating. Pretty easy one star. Now I’m thinking about trying to refund this purchase and giving up on native apps in favour of something cloud based. ### 2/5 — Editor is good, git is bad *2024-08-24, version 10.0.4* Gitlab integration is not great.
