I am always comfortable leaving them to play with any of the Grandma and Grandpa apps and then taking the lessons into their world. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling and it still doesn’t work. **Developer response:** We're sorry the sound wasn't working, even after reinstalling. If you're still having trouble, please try the latest app update, check that your device isn't muted, and turn up the volume while the game is open. If that doesn't help, email support@fairladymedia.com with your device model and iOS or iPadOS version so we can help troubleshoot. ### 1/5 — Always loses sound *2015-08-03* My son loves this game, however it has no sound. I have deleted it and reloaded it. The sound appeared then was lost again. I find this happens with all of the Grandma Grandpa games. Time for an update? I would give this 5 stars if it had sound again. If the problem continues, support@fairladymedia.com can help troubleshoot. ### 3/5 — Kinda okay *2014-03-14* There are 10 games but the app rotates through all 10 instead of giving you a menu so you can choose which one you want to play. An adult can change which games are in the rotation so you can exclude games that are too easy, too hard or not interesting for your child. Each game is very, very short with no levels. If you do the rotation more than once you do get different bugs to look at, different words to spell, different numbers of fireflies to catch, etc. It would be much better if a child could choose one game and stick with it for several repeats. **Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed feedback. You explained the distinction clearly: choosing activities in the parent settings isn't the same as letting a child pick a favorite and replay it. We understand why you'd like that option and appreciate you describing it. ### 3/5 — Misnamed app? *2014-03-14* In general, I like this app. It's pretty simple, but appropriate for a four or maybe five yr. old. The only strange thing to me was the name. I thought it would be about grandma taking care of or appreciating bugs. This app has you build a web to trap bugs and putting fireflies in a jar. I wasn't feeling the love. Maybe it should be called something different like, "Grandma messes with bugs". **Developer response:** Thank you for this thoughtful point. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the age fit. ### 4/5 — Grandma Loves Bugs *2014-10-13* My grandchildren do enjoy this app. However many people do not celebrate Halloween and so I wish the app had not been updated to reflect the holliday. Perhaps we could be given the opportunity to choose if we want this type of update in the future. **Developer response:** Thank you for explaining this. We appreciate your request for a choice, and we're glad your grandchildren enjoyed playing with Grandma. ### 4/5 — Fun App for Toddlers *2014-03-16, version 1.1* I just downloaded the app for my son to try out. If he doesn't like an app he will close it right away. He played through the ten games two times which is pretty long for him.There is a parental setting where you can leave off games that you think are too easy for your child. I was thinking the game would be even better if the app had more variety of levels. This one is probably my favorite. I’m a developmental psychologist and appreciate that these apps really are educational (some other apps claim to be but aren’t). My favorite feature is that as a parent I can go into the settings and turn OFF some of the games. I like this because I can turn something off that I know is still a little too advanced (read: frustrating) for my child and also I can go back in and add things later as my child grows so the app stays fresh. **Developer response:** Thank you for such a thoughtful review.
