Build-a-Brain explorer is designed to help anyone who is interested in learning basic neuroanatomy: physical and occupational therapy students, speech-language pathology students, medical and dental students,  practicing clinicians in the health sciences, as well as patients with neurologic damage and their caregivers. Learn the functions and locations of key structures in the brain and spinal cord  in a fun and interactive way in three sections: Explorer, Build-A-Brain, and Neural Tracts. In all sections, the user is able interact with one of eleven photographed anatomical sagittal slices. In Explorer, interactive pins placed in structures for each slice allow the user to click on each of them and see associated definitions and clinically applicable information. In Build-A Brain, the students build the brain and spinal cord by placing the slices in sequence, receiving feedback when the location of all slices is correct. In Neural Tracts, students indicate the location of one of three major tracts (Corticospinal, Dorsal-Column Medial Lemniscus, and Spinothalamic) on each slice. Do not waste money ### 1/5 — VERY BASIC *2013-11-14, version 1.0* This application offers absolutely nothing. Very basic off rs only the simple easy tracts. the slides are horrible cross section with some incorrect labeling. GET DRAW TO KNOW WHICH IS WAY BETTER THAN THIS WORTHLESS APPLICATION. ### 5/5 — Wonderful Educational Tool for Students, Health Providers, and even Patients! *2013-04-08, version 1.0* Neuroanatomy is a difficult subject for medical students, doctors, and health care providers. This app does a great job of showing the various neural tracts and how they are connected from the brain to the spinal cord. The various modes enable the user to practice identifying different sections of the brain and spinal cord, and then to trace the neural tracts. Especially useful for me was the ability to manipulate the views of the brain and spinal cord and see it in 3 dimensions.
