## What is BuildCore AI™?

BuildCore AI™ puts the crew's day on one screen and sends the result to payroll without a paper timecard.

CLOCK IN, FOR THE WHOLE CREW
The job is already selected from today's dispatch. Clock the crew in and out, see who is on and who is missing, and keep working when the signal drops — entries queue on the device and sync when it returns.

TIME THAT PAYROLL CAN POST
Review and approve crew hours, then allocate them to the job's cost codes. Codes show the job's real phase name, not the word "Labor", so the right one is obvious in the field.

Everything payroll needs is captured where the work happens:
• Shift — day, night or graveyard, so night work reaches payroll at the right differential
• Per diem — one tap, with or without hours for that day
• Pay class — record working out of your usual classification
• Double time and overtime, separated

SAFETY, IN THE TIME IT TAKES TO PHOTOGRAPH IT
Report a hazard with a photo and get a severity assessment back. Dictate a note instead of typing when your hands are dirty.

EQUIPMENT ON THE JOB
See what is assigned today, what is in use, and log hours against it.

BUILT FOR THE BACK OFFICE TOO
BuildCore AI is one half of a platform. Hours, per diem and equipment entered in the field arrive in the web app for review, and export in the layouts Viewpoint Vista and HCSS already accept — so payroll does not change what it does on Monday.

WORKS ON IPHONE AND IPAD
Every screen works in portrait and landscape. On iPad the crew list and the allocation panel sit side by side.

AN ACCOUNT IS REQUIRED
BuildCore AI is for construction companies and their crews. Every user belongs to an employer organization, so your company provisions your access — this is not an app you sign up for on your own.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.7 — 2026-10-21

Companies that run weekly payroll hours can now enter them
from a phone instead of a desk. A card for each person,
your company's own earn codes across — salary, straight
time, overtime, PTO — and a running total for the week.
Submit when it's done, or approve and send back if you're
the one who signs it off.

It's the same sheet as on the web, so a week started at a
desk finishes in the plant.

Your company, not just ours

The app now shows which company you're working in. Your
company's name sits in the header on every screen, and your
logo appears on your Profile once an administrator uploads
one in Org Settings.

If you work for more than one company

You can switch between them on your Profile. Everything
follows — today's work, your crew, timecards, notes. Before
this, people in two companies could see one company's
screens while the system had them in the other.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-13

Your coded day stays coded

Open a day you have already submitted and the hours are
there, against the codes you put them on. Change what is
wrong and save — it corrects the card rather than writing a
second one beside it. Clearing somebody's hours now clears
them.

Fixing a day after the fact

Previous days stay open to the field for two weeks, or until
payroll closes the week, whichever comes first. A closed day
says so and goes read-only instead of taking entries it
cannot save. A second foreman, or a superintendent, can
correct coding somebody else entered.

Each person's row shows how much of their clocked time still
has no cost code against it, which is the number you are
working down.

Machines under the people running them

Heavy plant gets whoever was on it that morning — tap the
machine to say who. Trucks keep whoever they are assigned
to. A machine two people split can be left as nobody's.

Removing a machine now asks first, rather than taking the
hours under it on a tap.

Notes where the work was

Add a note to any cost code on the grid. It reaches the job's
daily log leading with the code, so whoever reads an overrun
finds the reason beside it. A foreman's note goes straight
on; anyone else's goes to their foreman.

The Voice tab is now Daily Log, which is what it produces.

Clocking in a crew

If you are the foreman clocking in, you are asked whether to
bring the crew with you. Each person punches against their
own job.

Fixes

• The back button was black on a dark screen
• "Timecards need review" in your inbox opens that day's
  review rather than the project
• A foreman's job note never actually reached the daily log

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-06

# 1.0.5 — App Store / Play release notes

Paste the block below into **App Store Connect → What's New in This Version**,
and into **Play Console → Release notes**. Plain text, no markdown — both stores
render it literally.

Covers everything from build 18 through build 21: the September field session,
the two rounds of feedback after it, and the week of fixes that followed.

```
Coding a crew's day on iPad
Time entry on iPad is now a grid: your crew down the side, cost
codes across, hours in the cells. Add the codes a crew worked,
run across the row, and each person's total turns green when
their day is covered. Work split between two jobs shows both,
with a subtotal for each.
Claim quantities per cost code in the row above the crew, and
record equipment hours underneath — machines appear under the
operator who ran them. Copy yesterday's job, codes and equipment
forward rather than picking them again.
iPhone keeps the one-person-at-a-time screen, which is the right
shape on a phone.
Built to be read outside
A new Outdoor display mode in Profile: high contrast for working
in daylight, where a dark screen is a mirror. Text and figures
throughout time entry are larger and easier to read.
Hours start from the clock
Your timecard opens with the hours you actually clocked, rounded
to the nearest quarter hour, instead of a blank 8. Change it if
it's wrong — the clock is a starting point, not the answer — and
you'll be asked to confirm if what you enter differs from what
you punched.
Where your company allows it, you can split out overtime.
Notes from the field
Record a note about the day by voice. A foreman's note goes
straight onto the job's daily log; anyone else's goes to their
foreman, who decides whether it belongs there. A new inbox shows
what's waiting on you.
Your company's rules
Overtime, rounding, whether hours have to match the clock, and
the unit a cost code is measured in — CY, SY, SF, LF — are now
set per company rather than being one answer for everybody.
Fixes
• Someone who worked two jobs in a day showed only one job's
  hours as their total
• People still clocked in were missing from the crew list, so a
  foreman couldn't close out their day until they punched out
• 10 hours displayed as 1
• Moving to another day carried the current day's entries with it
• Opening a picker rotated the screen on iPad
• The time review screen could crash after updating the app
```

## Notes on the copy

**The fixes are named rather than "bug fixes and improvements."** App Review
pushes back on empty notes, and 1.0.3 already went through a 2.1(b) round — no
reason to invite a second look. They are also the kind a foreman would have hit
and not reported.

**Push notifications are not mentioned.** They were built and then removed in
favour of the inbox, so the notes describe what shipped rather than what was
attempted.

**If it needs shortening**, cut in this order: "Your company's rules" (admins see
it, not the field), then the last two fixes.

## Before submitting

- The version in App Store Connect is still **1.0.4 (Prepare for Submission)**
  and 1.0.5 does not exist. Edit that draft's version string to 1.0.5 rather than
  adding a new version — it keeps the metadata already entered.
- Attach the newest processed build.
- `supportsTablet` is true and the grid is an iPad feature, so **iPad screenshots
  are required**. Check that tab is populated.
- Set **Manually release this version**.
- App Review sign-in details carry over unchanged from 1.0.3.

Cost codes assigned to a time card now save correctly when the card
is approved, including when hours are split across more than one
code.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-22

A day shift and a night shift can now be recorded for the same person on the same day, each with its own hours and cost codes.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-15

Field entry improvements for crews and payroll.

• Shift on the timecard — day, night or graveyard, so night work reaches
  payroll at the right differential.
• Per diem — one tap on the timecard, with or without hours for the day.
• Pay class — record working out of your usual classification.
• Cost codes now show the job's real phase name instead of "Labor".
• Sign-in and every screen now work in landscape.
