I can't see previous jobs I have to physically look into the job visits and find previous visits to ignore the the stupid AI visit that gives a short list and you don't know what has and hasn't been done. If you had pictures of the previous visit it won't upload to current visit on the same job. Taking pictures takes forever to upload and delete the name that they give. Sometimes with the camera it won't upload to the gallery on buildops. Then it saves to your phone and u will have million of photos of jobs. The video doesn't upload to the office I tried that. Too much stuff going on that has bugs and it hasn't been resolved been on this app over 6 months still the same problems and issues. ### 1/5 — Shocker new update *2025-11-19, version 3.70.0* As the title says, they released another update!! It constantly bugs out, logs me out for no reason, and often refuses to let me log back in even with the correct credentials. I’ve double-checked everything, reinstalled, and even reset my password, but the issue keeps happening. The idea behind the app is good, but there are a lot of bugs that need to be worked on ### 1/5 — Just get service titan *2025-10-07* As a service technician I personally hate this system. My company has gone through 3 different systems in the past couple of years. Buildops is by far the worst. Want to upload pictures? You can wait 10 minutes! Want to upload videos? Nope! Half the time it doesn’t even teach time properly. I will clock into a job at 7am, clock out at 10am, and I only have 1 hour on the clock. It has some neat features like reading data plates but none of the fancy features make up for the annoyance when trying to use the most basic parts of the app. ### 1/5 — I hope this app is free. *2025-10-05, version 3.69.0* I hear it makes nice reports for the office. It also makes it difficult for dispatch to track ongoing calls, and is a tremendous waste of time trying to find them. Notes disappear, verbiage gets changed, etc. Obviously designed by an app developer that has never been in the field. How surprising. Just wish it had more functions available - it is pretty basic. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not great *2026-07-30* We’ve been using this platform for about 1.5 years now for commercial service and construction projects. Initially we were promised all great work flows, and great support but it has turned into quite a nightmare. We are constantly trying to find new ways to change our own workflows because the what BuildOps provides doesn’t work, constantly crashes and it has too many bugs. It doesn’t synch properly with our accounting software and the support team is very slow in finding solutions. From an operational and admin perspective it’s a nightmare and it slows us down a lot. Technicians get frustrated because the app doesn’t work, and the office is just trying to make it through the day. The most common response we get from support is that “they could not replicate the issue, please contact us when it happens again”. There is not a single day we don’t have any sort of issues with BuildOps. The app is glitchy and clunky, poor searching and history functionality. The web browser app seems decent, I totally understand why management loves it - it makes their job easier. Needing to submit forms and attachments from a mobile device is a pain, takes way too many steps, and 1 out of 5 times it will just throw away the entry and you need to start over. Needing to manually separate all time punches is asinine! Why bother to switch work on a job when you need to go back into the app afterwards and manually move the time to the different buckets? ### 1/5 — Big news! *2026-02-11, version 3.72.1* Big news everyone! The app still sucks, don’t pay for it, font use it. For whatever reason they can’t stop the app from taking hours to load ### 1/5 — Worst Field Service App I’ve Ever Used (I Am A Technician) *2026-02-10, version 3.72.1* I’ve been a field tech for years and used a bunch of different service apps. BuildOps is honestly the worst one I’ve had to deal with. The mobile app is buggy as hell. It crashes all the time, freezes when you’re trying to type notes, and half the time jobs don’t even load right. Super frustrating when you’re in the field just trying to finish up and move on to the next call. The whole layout is clunky too. Way too many taps just to log simple stuff. Closing out a work order takes way longer than it should. Field software is supposed to make your job easier, not slow you down. This does the opposite. Wastes time every day.
