Ugh ### 1/5 — Trash *2020-02-14, version 1.4* Only reason it gets a 1 star is because I could download the app, other than that you are unable to connect to the bulb. I got this for free but If you paid send it back asap this think is terrible. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2020-01-30* Worst apps ever! Unable to connect the bulbs ugh.... the apps crashed while I was trying to connect. :/ ### 1/5 — Who doesn’t accept gmail addresses? *2020-01-13* Like another user, I found that not using a gmail address was the trick to getting this to work. Lame. I had to use my work email, or create a completely new account just to turn on a light bulb. I am going to see if once I have this connected to my Alexa hub I can delete my account. I don’t want to connect my work account to this on an ongoing basis. Please fix! I will consider returning my bulbs if gmail is not supported. ### 1/5 — Application does not work! *2020-01-07* So disappointed with the application. I received a Smart bulb as a gift but I can’t make full use of the smart capabilities because the mobile application does not allow me to log in. It just kept on going back to the home page but won’t recognize my log in credential. I tried using 2 other devices but to no avail, thus I can’t even connect the bulb to Wifi. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the application but it’s useless. It’s just a regular bulb now. I tried contacting customer service but all suggestions they made were only applicable if your bulb is already connected to an internet connection. UPDATE: I was able to sort the issue on my own. Found out that the application does not seem to accept a google email address. I tried it with a new account and used a yahoo email address and it worked. No thanks to technical support.😑 ### 1/5 — This app doesn’t work anymore!!! *2019-12-02* I’ve loved my light bulb and been using it for weeks, but every Monday it tells me that my phone cannot connect to my light bulb and I have to reconnect. I bought two bulbs and was unable to connect the second. I used the one bulb for awhile until buying what I should have bought the first time (Phillips/ wiz bulbs). This app is terrible, bare bones, hardly works, glitches and their bulbs blink while you try to pair them so as you sit there repeatedly for 5 min waiting for it to find the bulb you have to deal with blinking over and over again. Defective products and app. If I could I would give this app a negative review. ### 1/5 — No memory after a power outage *2021-04-15* I was able to connect the bulbs and program them and add groups and scenes I also was also to get Alexa to operate the bulbs The problem I had was after a 4 hour power outage when the power came back on the bulbs rapidly blinked but didn’t reconnect to my WiFi. I was unable to easily reconnect them, the names of the bulbs were remembered but all my scenes were forgotten. I had to reconnect each bulb one by one and create the scenes again. I had to cut power to all the bulbs except the one I was working on. I guess if I was on vacation, the bulbs would be blinking after a power failure the entire time. So turn them off before you leave and plan to reprogram when you get back ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work as stated *2020-04-15, version 1.5* I bought 4 of these lights. I downloaded the app it is supposed to connect to Alexa. However, it will NOT connect to Alexa. These lights are now useless and not refundable. The APP is really easy to use - I schedule the lights to turn on in the AM to wake my husband and kids up but leave the light very warm so it’s not a shock and it’s dim. I always forget to turn off the lights when I leave so I automatically set it to turn off about 20 minutes after I should be out of the house. They also turn on right before I get home and dim down an hour before bed to keep me on track to getting the kiddos to bed and help wind them down. Super helpful in managing our schedule. ### 5/5 — Easy to use *2019-09-04* Great product and easy to install and use. Once out of the box I had it running from the app and my Alexa within minutes. ### 2/5 — Unacceptably bad *2025-03-02* Initially this app seems great because setting up a light is very simple and you can easily turn the light on/off and change the color of the light in the app. That’s where the good ends and the bad begins. I have not been able to have my partner connect to the same light on her phone, so only one of us is able to control the light. This has never been a problem with other smart lights I’ve owned. Also the app gives you the option to delete your Home, but trying to do so simply causes the app to crash. I would expect more from a product that costs as much as this light bulb. ### 2/5 — Not helpful in the real world *2021-02-09* This app is bare-bones and not very helpful in the real world. You can create ‘scenes’ that store dimness and color for some selection of bulbs, but it’s clunky to set the scene. There is no widget for this app. You can’t even change the scene from the app’s initial screen.
