## What is BulkMode?

Most people trying to gain weight quit before seeing results.

Not because they're lazy. Because the tools aren't built for them.

Every calorie app is made for weight loss. BulkMode is the only one built from scratch for gaining.

BUILT FOR GAINING
No red warnings for eating "too much." Here, hitting your goal is a win, not a problem.

IT ACTUALLY LEARNS
Most apps give you a number on Day 1 and never change it. BulkMode learns YOUR metabolism from real data. By Week 6, your targets are tuned to how YOUR body actually works.

REALITY CHECKS
Gaining too slow? Too fast? You'll know with a clear fix. Never waste another month wondering.

ZERO EFFORT
Snap your food. Done. No searching. No typing.

STAY MOTIVATED
Earn trophies for hitting goals. Yes, for eating. Seriously.

Generic apps do everything for everyone.
So we didn't build one.

Ready to be one of few who don't quit?

### 1/5 — App is not free

*2026-04-20*

Just make the app cost money, the app seems was good but just seems like a cash grab

**Developer response:** hey, appreciate you giving BulkMode a shot and saying the app seems good, that genuinely means a lot. wanted to be real with you about the pricing though: as a solo dev, every food photo you scan costs me real money to process on the backend. a free version just isn’t sustainable at this scale. that’s why there’s a 3 day free trial on the annual plan, so you can actually try every feature before committing. a 1 star review is rough when you said the app itself is good, but i hear you and appreciate the honest feedback either way 🤝

### 5/5 — Best calorie tracker for gaining weight

*2026-03-14*

So easy to use! Just take a pic and it logs everything. I like that it just adjusts your calorie goals for you over time instead of just giving you some random number. Literally the only calorie tracker that’s fully focused on gaining weight. One suggestion: would love to see a weekly recap of how I did overall. If you’re trying to bulk, this app makes it easy and keeps you on track.

**Developer response:** Love to hear this! Weekly recap is actually in the works right now, stay tuned 🤝

Apple Health, meet BulkMode

Your weight syncs both ways, your nutrition goes back out. BulkMode reads your scale, updates your trend, adjusts your target. You just keep stepping on it.

Turn it on during setup or flip it on later in Profile. You pick what it reads and what it writes.

Scan a barcode and the macros are wrong? Edit them. Next time you scan it, BulkMode remembers what you fixed.

Bunch of stuff under the hood. You won't notice. That's the point.

Barcode scanning is here

Open the camera, point at a barcode, log it. No mode to switch into, no button to hunt for. Same camera, same shutter. BulkMode just knows what it's looking at now.

Scan the same barcode twice and it saves itself to My Foods. From then on it's one tap on the home screen.

Some of you outgrew our weight range. Didn't see that coming. It goes a lot higher now, so set the goal you're actually chasing.

Bunch of stuff under the hood. You won't notice. That's the point.

Your adaptive calorie target keeps dialing in.

Meal reminders are yours now. Pick how many a day, set each one to when you actually eat. We used to guess. Turns out you know better. Go set yours.

Save a meal to My Foods and the full ingredient breakdown saves with it. Every reuse stays accurate.

Bunch of stuff under the hood. You won't notice. That's the point.

### 2.1 — 2026-07-16

We sharpened how BulkMode adjusts your calories.

It reads your weight and your logs closer now, so your target's more accurate and keeps up as you grow.

Log your food, log your weight, and let BulkMode do the work. Same idea, dialed way in.

Oh, and your weekly recap got an upgrade: new pages, personal records, and a look at how you stacked up against last week. Check it out.
