### 4/5 — Great App with some bugs

*2026-07-20*

THE App is Great! Bit sometimes all my entries are Not shown any longer. The only possibility is to force quit

### 4/5 — A brilliant app for how my brain works

*2026-05-28, version 1.71.3*

This app has been sorting my life out recently, and indeed it looks like it could replace two or three apps which were overbloated and underperforming for me. This strikes the balance just right and has a great developer who is on it with getting features right. I’m hoping for a bit more smoothness to the UI which for me still occasionally has bugs (e.g. blank screens) and for some upvoted features on the feedback forum to be implemented soon…

### 3/5 — Unable to test

*2026-04-25, version 1.70.0*

Looked like a promising app so I downloaded it. Unfortunately they want me to create a long in to try it as there guest mode doesn’t work. Deleting it as I can not try it before buying.

### 4/5 — Accent Color

*2026-04-05, version 1.69.0*

I would like to see an accent color added where it would spruce up the app by adding some personalization without making anything feel cluttered and make it optional so those that already enjoy it the way it can keep it that way. Just a color picker that would change the color for the add button and number colors on the day month and week view. It would take this app to the next level.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-03-24, version 1.69.0*

Perfect app

### 5/5 — Digital Bujo Bliss.

*2026-03-14, version 1.68.0*

I’ve been into paper journaling (I’ve got a thing Midory paper and fountain pens) for well over 20 years, and Bujo since Ryder Carol dropped his minimalist master piece. But analogue writing has always been, well, a little too frictional for me to base my daily productivity on. I have tried to digitally replicate the essence of Bujo for years. Jumping from Notion to Trello to Tana them back again. Then I stumbled into Bullet. And it was like miracle has landed at my feet. Bullet offers everything I have tried to create myself from a digital bullet journal app. It’s like the developer, Hamish, who is genuinely a lovely lad, had been over my shoulder the past 6 years taking notes on exactly the type of digital bullet journal app I need. It is uncanny and nearly perfect. It’s offers a beautiful digital bullet journal experience while offering all the modern convenience of a digital app. From migrating task, to seeing overdue task. From comprehensive repeating tasks, to exporting entire filtered lists. Tags and searches and sync with digital calendars. It has everything I need. I can’t wait to see where Hamish takes this app. Thank you so much for creating this.

### 5/5 — If you’re a bullet journal user, this is it!

*2026-03-11*

This is the best app to use the bujo format on the phone! The design is simple, no distractions, and it has everything we need. I have been using a lot of apps for productivity, and this is the only one that stuck around. I highly recommend this apps for folks who use the bujo format, or anyone who needs a well designed planner. Also, the developer listens to what the users want, and actually maintains the app really well. Thank you for a great app!

### 5/5 — Great Tool for Daily To-Dos

*2026-03-05*

Genuinely helpful and my main tool for organizing my daily to-do tasks. I’ve tried lots of tools, and this is the easiest and most helpful for me!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-03-05, version 1.66.2*

I use Bullet daily and it is the only app I have found that allows me to ditch my old paper bullet journal for any length of time. The lists & tags are endlessly customisable and can be as simple or as complex as you need it to be.

The recent changes have also been huge. Loving the image galleries and URL option. Keep up the great work Hamish!

### 5/5 — Best Digital Bullet Journal

*2026-03-05, version 1.66.2*

Ive tried so many productivity apps but this has been the closest to having the analogue experience of a bullet journal with the convenience of a digital medium. Started with the free no account to test it. Then made an account to sync across devices cause I was convinced!

### 5/5 — Streamlined UI

*2026-02-27, version 1.66.2*

Good app. Nice design. Very pleasant to view and easy to use. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Incredibly helpful

*2026-02-08*

Well thought and helpful app compatible with the Bullet Journal concepts and great integration between browser and app. Love it.

### 5/5 — 최고의 앱

*2026-02-08*

### 5/5 — Clean Simple and Effective

*2026-01-21, version 1.62.6*

More doesn’t always mean better. And this app has cut down all the extra stuff, and focused on a clean UI and effective easy design. I love the task features and how we can easily add and move tasks around. Excited for this to keep getting better.

### 5/5 — Spot on

*2026-01-16, version 1.62.6*

This app is exactly what I was looking for. Clean, simple and easily adaptable without being cluttered with too many options. Within a week of using it for personal use, I now have a work account as well for which I use the web interface. My only request for the dashboard screen on the web, would be the option to see day, week and month instead of just day and week or day and month, but that is a tiny quibble. Thanks Hamish!

### 5/5 — Easily the best task and daily note management app I’ve used

*2026-01-11, version 1.62.4*

This app is the perfect balance of simple yet flexible. One of the only task apps that actually helps declutter your mind rather than distract you with unnecessary systems. The closest thing to a real bullet journal in digital form.

### 3/5 — Used to be amazing

*2026-01-10, version 1.62.4*

The first year I used it, there were minimal glitches. Now it’s constantly deleting my recurring tasks (I rely on this app for this-I had adhd). The shortcut often doesn’t show my daily list anymore. I hope this can be fixed because I already paid for another year.

### 5/5 — Top Tier

*2026-01-07, version 1.62.4*

Out of all the apps out there, this one keeps it clean and simple. Absolutely love it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — app will not open

*2025-12-31, version 1.62.3*

I loved this app until one day I tried to open it and it will not load it just says bullet and will not load I let it sit for 30 minutes and nothing. I used this app every day and I tried everything to get it to open I’ve hard reset my phone, I’ve deleted the app, and I’ve made sure it was updated to the newest version and still it won’t work so for now it’s 1 star

### 1/5 — My Review

*2025-06-09, version 1.59.3*

I gave this a try for a few days, and decided it was not for me, so I deleted the app from my phone. Then I received notification of being charged for the year. I attempted to appeal through Apple, saying I’d had no intention of subscribing, but was told I had no recourse. Unfortunately, even though they charged almost $30 for the year, I still have no interest in using it and I have not reloaded it. I don’t recommend even trialing this cluttered and expensive app.

### 1/5 — To soon for a review.

*2024-12-03, version 1.54.0*

Alright, here’s the situation.

I just downloaded your app, and you’re already asking for a review. I mean, I barely know you! It’s like going on a first date, and the other person immediately asks, “So, what do you think of me?”

For context, I’m a real estate agent in Los Angeles @mr.HighlandPark trying to cope with ADHD. My job is to juggle a million things at once while pretending I’m totally on top of it all. I downloaded this app hoping it would help me focus and actually retain clients instead of just their names in my inbox.

But this? Asking for a review before I’ve even used the app? Feels a little desperate. So here’s where we’re at: ⭐ One star—for now.

Show me this app can really help, and I’ll gladly come back with a glowing update. I want to like you, I really do. But let’s get to know each other first, okay?

Sincerely,
A stressed-out agent who just needs a little help

@Mr.HighlandPark

### 1/5 — Filled with bugs that make me distrust the app

*2024-04-18*

I really want to love this app as the UX is amazing. However, after using it for a week, it is clearly riddled with bugs such as the wrong dates appearing, text not updating when changed, and reminders not working. Because I plan to use this to remind me critical tasks, I have doubts about the reliability and fear it will fail to remind me of something that will cause real world consequences.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for your report. I have fixed both the issues that you were experiencing. All the best, Hamish

### 1/5 — Não tem suporte

*2023-12-18, version 1.23.1*

Aparece a opção de trial mas cobrou direto e não existe em nenhum lugar contrato para suporte. Quero estornar a assinatura

### 1/5 — Good idea, not so good implementation

*2022-08-06, version 1.9.2*

the app is built on good idea. however, it lacks tons of feature such as filtering, sorting, multiple notebook support.
using analog notebook, I can have multiple notebook at once, why cant i do that digitally?
In addition, the subscription is way too costly. please consider market like cambodia where we earn only 300 or 400 a month. sparing 36 for a year is a luxury

### 1/5 — Can’t evaluate properly

*2022-01-28, version 1.3*

Too many key features are behind the pay wall to determine whether or not this is worth the price. It would be better to give us a seven day trial with everything unlocked over a free version that does nothing. I’m willing to pay for a good app but only if I know I’ll use it.

### 1/5 — Needs pencil support

*2021-11-08, version 1.3*

Some apps (but really, very few) can get away without providing pencil support. But for a journaling app this is not an option.

### 2/5 — Too expensive

*2026-08-10*

Great product. But its ridiculous subscription model is a massive turn off.

**Developer response:** Hi Jenn. Bullet is free to use (unlimited entries), and premium can be purchased for life or as a subscription which unlocks certain features. The subscription is optional whether you want premium or not, and it’s also a very standard subscription, there shouldn’t be any surprises.

### 2/5 — Sadly, no way to test this without the Internet!

*2025-06-05*

Selected “Continue as Guest”, yet the app still demanded I connect to the Internet! Any to-do app that requires a log-in, account, or Internet connection is an invasion of privacy. Preventing someone from even trying out an app is a poor business model and an unfriendly way of treating potential users, let alone customers! ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Appreciate the developer responding. However, the point still stands. We should NOT have to sign up for anything to test an app — even if the *account* is supposedly “anonymous”. Testing an app's functionality should be a stand alone operation. We should NOT have to sign in, log in, or set up an account on someone else's server to explore an app.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Virtually all the apps I’ve tested, used, and even paid for have NOT required this! They do NOT open with a screen demanding a sign-up. If a developer actually wants people to try out their app, they should let us do so! Without gathering information on us.

**Developer response:** Hi Paul, once you have tapped ‘Continue as Guest’ almost everything will work offline. An anonymous user is created in the database when signing in as a guest, just so that all our systems work smoothly. But you can disconnect from the internet straight after, and it will work.

The reason why many other apps do not require sign up, is because they use apple's iCloud for backup which is only available on apple devices. Since Bullet runs on web, and non-apple devices, I can't use iCloud and we need our own auth system to connect devices.

**Developer response:**

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-08-15, version 1.74.0*

I use Bullet daily and it is the only app I have found that allows me to ditch my old paper bullet journal for any length of time. The lists & tags are endlessly customisable and can be as simple or as complex as you need it to be.

The recent changes have also been huge. Loving the image galleries and URL option. Keep up the great work Hamish!

### 5/5 — Best planner & Tracker, must use

*2026-08-13*

I have been trying so many different apps for productivity and couldn’t find the one that would fit all my criteria. This one was recommended and I had trials, best app for planning, honestly.. I never leave reviews and this is the first time I wanted to share my praise with all of you.. love tagging, collections, prompts and of course habits. I purchased it for lifetime. Habits motivating me to do it everyday, the fact that I can also open it on my computer, is so convenient! Thank you for such a great app!!

### 5/5 — Changed my life.

*2026-08-02*

If I could only keep one app on all of my devices, it would be this one. I cannot operate with all of my events and to-dos and habits and goals written down, and this app stores all of that for me so that my brain isn’t overloaded. Saves me so much stress, and has boosted my productivity to unfathomable degrees. I’ve tried every other app out there, and they’re all too complicated/expensive/missing important features, etc., so for the past few years I’d just given up and used a paper planner. I am SO GLAD that I found Bullet, though. It is EXACTLY what I need, and has completely changed my life. Long live Hamish!!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2026-07-21*

This is the app I was looking for months, I used to build a similar app, but I never had the time to finish it, and I’m so glad I’ve found this app trough groks recommendation, this is exactly what I want, what I need, what I’ve would build. The free version contains everything I need, but I upgraded to support the developer and even write an app review for the first time, thank you, this is great, especially the web support that has the exact same look as the mobile app, I just love the app architecture you’ve chosen, I would really love to see it, great work, I hope you still maintain it actively 🙏🏻

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-04-12, version 1.70.0*

Great UI

### 5/5 — What I have been looking for!

*2026-04-12, version 1.70.0*

Finally, a Bullet app that feels simple and just like I would do it on paper. Simple, yet comprehensive. Thank you for creating this App!

### 5/5 — Best app I own

*2026-04-12*

I’ve had this app for a little over a year now and this is hands down the best app I have ever downloaded. I’m the type to forget an event or idea a few seconds after hearing it, and this app has single-handedly helped me get my life organized. While it has many fantastic features, I primarily use it as a calendar. The layout is simple, intuitive, gloriously distraction-free, and the widget instantly gives me a snapshot of any events for the day. My favorite feature is how easy it is to switch from daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views, and how it cleanly gives me a picture of how busy I’ll be. I’ve even started putting events in after the fact to be able to look back at my year! All other calendar apps look clunky to me now, I can not recommend this app enough.

### 5/5 — For Digital Bujo-ists

*2026-04-11, version 1.70.0*

Here’s the thing, it’s the best digital version of a paper bujo system. The techniques and the expected behavior of what you would do on your A5 journal is there. I don’t use it enough because I am a paper snob, but believe me it’s there. And the best part, is that you get a lot for free. I paid up because Hamish’s team of 20 developers (not really) need coffee!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-04-08, version 1.70.0*

I’ve never been more organized in my life. Seamless between all my devices including Android. Just perfection.
